Daily random mod #6! For your taiko diff.

Your Slider Velocity isn't exactly 1.4 - you'll need to edit the .osu file to get it to exactly 1.4

I think that 100% volume throughout the map is too high. You could try something like 80-85% for the most intense sections and something a little lower for the rest.

You should probably increase the OD to 6, since that's standard for a diff like this.

In the 00:19:949 - 00:29:646 section I think you should be mapping a lot closer to the music. It's pretty calm here and there are no real 1/4 sounds, so the 1/4 patterns you've used feel kind of out of place. I suggest changing this section to be mostly/all 1/2 spaced and to follow the music more closely.

For 00:29:646 - 00:39:343 the 1/4 usage isn't so bad but I think your placements of them are a little strange and it's quite unintuitive to play. Again, I think you should map closer to the music here but make it a little more intense than the previous section with those 1/4 patterns.

00:40:101 (46,47,48) - 00:41:313 (55,56,57) - and 00:42:374 (62,63,64) feel very strange to me. There are really no sounds here to justify using these patterns. Try removing the middle note from each of these triplets to make them 1/2 instead - I think that would play much better.

I really, really don't like repeated triplets like what you have at 01:06:162. I would replace them with a drumroll, but that's just personal preference since I despise patterns like this. Honestly it's probably not that bad but I don't like it.

The the 01:56:919 - 02:06:616 section your placement of the triplets here makes it really weird to play from 01:56:919 - 01:59:343 and 02:01:768 - 02:04:192. Consider changing it so they start on every second beat (01:56:919 - 01:57:525 - 01:58:131 - 01:58:737 for the first set and 02:01:768 - 02:02:374 - 02:02:980 - 02:03:586 for the second) since this fits nicely with the music and is way more natural to play.

I have the same problem with 02:35:859 and I did with 01:06:162. You could replace this with some simple 1/2 and 1/4 patterns like you've used in the section following this.

Same thing applies for the kkd kkd kkd etc patterns in the ending Kiai section. Like I said above I prefer drumrolls here.

After the modding of my map, I have changed some parts of map.

Slider Velocity changed to 1.4 :)

Volume of the map is modified too (from 60%-100%).

OD changed to 6.

In the 00:19:949 - 00:29:646 section, most patterns are changed to 1/2.

For 00:29:646 - 00:39:343 , 3-plets patterns are reduced.

00:40:101 (46,47,48) - 00:41:313 (55,56,57) - and 00:42:374 (62,63,64) middle note deleted.

For, 01:06:162 and 02:35:859, I think replacing them with a drumroll is not cannot show the feeling in that part, while repeating 3-plets is not an acceptable pattern in taiko, I decided to keep it at moment.

For the 01:56:919 - 02:06:616, 01:56:919 - 01:57:525 - 01:58:131 - 01:58:737 , All patterns are changed to 1/2 pattern.

Thx for ur modding :D Very useful modding

After the modding of Extra diff, I have changed some parts of my diff,
00:01:162 (2,3,4) - DS Checked with modification
00:05:934 - a beat is added (1/4 pattern)
00:06:616 (5) - New combo made

00:49:040 (1,8) - I am not sure if stack is a great problem as the time of these 2 notes are pretty long
00:50:252 (1,4) - ^

00:58:131 (1) - changed to original slider speed with an extra note
01:13:737 (4) - New combo made
02:15:859 (1) - 02:16:010 (1) - New combo deleted
03:17:374 (2,3) - The distance between these 2 notes is greatly reduced
03:19:798 (3,4,5) - The distance between the 4,5 notes are increased

The volume of the hitsounds stay at 100% throughout the whole map, you should change it
Also, maybe up the AR by a few tenths

00:01:616 (1,2) - 00:04:192 (4) - you could change this wave slider to soomething like this

00:15:555 (1,1) - you could blanket these like this

00:44:495 (3,4,5) - not a comfortable jump

00:56:616 (2,3) - blanket

ex不太能把握,就随便揪一点好了

[Extra]

Hitsound changed, AR unchange as not necessary?

00:01:616 (1,2) - 00:04:192 (4) - you could change this wave slider to soomething like this

Hey !

00:02:980 (1,2) - Stack here ? Spacing doesn't seem to emphasize anything and makes 00:03:737 (1) - a bit confusing, it's just useless here.
00:03:737 (1,2,3) - Also these sounds are barely audible so consider nerfing this because 3 circles makes it almost as intense as 00:04:646 (5,6,7,8,9) - which makes no sense.
00:05:859 (2,3,4) - Can't it be straight ? It's just awkward now ):
00:10:555 (3,1) - You could make circles like that closer so it emphasizes the powerful sounds correctly when playing. Also don't forget that stacks generally break the momentum when playing which makes high spacing much harder to play.
00:12:980 (3,1,2) - I honestly don't get how they can be equally spaced ): it's inconsistent dans does not fit the music.
00:28:434 (1,1) - They feel really overmapped. Is there anything on blue tick ?
00:29:343 (4,1) - Decreasing speed at 00:29:646 (1) - feels really weird. Consider stacking the 2 circles
00:34:192 - This should be clickable. It is hearable compared to 00:33:889 -
00:34:798 (3,1,2) - The flow is a bit questionable here. 00:34:949 (1,2) - CTRL+H
00:38:207 - Add something here ? Tapping the finish here 00:38:132 (5) - then directly click the stream feels a bit gross. At least convert 00:38:132 (5) - to a kickslider.
00:44:192 (1,2,3,4,5) - Any reason to that inconsistent spacing ?
00:45:404 (1,2,3,4,5) - same
00:57:677 (2) - This is probably the weakest beat of the group. The music is decreasing in intensity so you could maybe use some sliders.
00:58:131 (1) - Just a personal suggestion. You should consider repeatiting it twice so 00:58:737 (1) - feels emphasized.
01:01:162 (1,2,3) - Make that annoying angle a bit smoother. Suddenly increasing speed at 01:01:313 (2,3) - does not really fit with the music.
01:27:828 (1,2,1) - 1/1 + 1/2 but same spacing.
01:35:101 (1,2) - delete the circle
01:50:404 (3) - This is more intense but you use a slider rather than circles ):
01:57:525 (5,6) - Unstack or stack 01:57:828 (7,8) -
02:22:525 (2,3) - (3) is really tough to catch...
02:36:919 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Why does the pattern suddenly change ? It sounds the same as 02:35:707 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - so you should just copy it.
02:49:041 (3,4,1) - Again the spacing is decreasing for nothing ):
02:58:586 (6,1,2) - Change (1)'s shape, it's a bit annoying right now.
03:08:737 (3,4) - CTRL+G ?
03:04:040 (5,6) - I'm a bit worried about that btw. I couldn't sightread it, I'm maybe too weak but I do think you should use a repeated 1/4 slider instead since it's the first time that this rhythm has appeared in the music...
03:42:677 (5,1) - Stack them properly
03:45:101 (5,1) - Stack them for consistency with previous pattern
03:52:374 (5,1) - Same
04:05:404 - 04:12:222 - The whole section is way too hard compared to what the song provides, which makes the diff quite unbalanced. I'd advise you to nerf it completely by increasing the amount of sliders (most of red ticks are barely audible) and using DS.
04:23:737 (3,4,5,6) - That antiflow is annoying, really... 04:23:889 (4,5,6) - CTRL+J here
04:42:980 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Use the same patterning as before ?
04:47:828 (1,2,3,4,5) - same, try to be more consistent
04:57:222 (7,8) - Spacing decreasing for nothing agaiiiiin ):
05:01:162 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - By making the spacing high everywhere you don't emphasize anything. Nothing feels special.
05:16:919 (4) - remove ?
You could add a spinner to the end so it covers the song entirely.

Good luck.

I make the spacing of other 1/1 beat larger such that it's more consistent

I make it to be a 3 plet pattern

I won't make it completely straight as it's ugly

00:28:434 (1,1) - They feel really overmapped. Is there anything on blue tick ?
I can't get how it's overmapped as this part is pretty easy without large space?
00:29:343 (4,1) - Decreasing speed at 00:29:646 (1) - feels really weird. Consider stacking the 2 circles
Reduced the previous part spacing and increased this part spacing
00:34:192 - This should be clickable. It is hearable compared to 00:33:889 -
Modified
00:34:798 (3,1,2) - The flow is a bit questionable here. 00:34:949 (1,2) - CTRL+H
Modified
00:38:207 - Add something here ? Tapping the finish here 00:38:132 (5) - then directly click the stream feels a bit gross. At least convert 00:38:132 (5) - to a kickslider.
Modified
00:44:192 (1,2,3,4,5) - Any reason to that inconsistent spacing ?
I just make the 1,2 a bit larger?
00:45:404 (1,2,3,4,5) - same
Just make the odd number beat be larger spaces
00:57:677 (2) - This is probably the weakest beat of the group. The music is decreasing in intensity so you could maybe use some sliders.
Modified
00:58:131 (1) - Just a personal suggestion. You should consider repeatiting it twice so 00:58:737 (1) - feels emphasized.
Modified
01:01:162 (1,2,3) - Make that annoying angle a bit smoother. Suddenly increasing speed at 01:01:313 (2,3) - does not really fit with the music.
The intensity is actually keep increasing for the last jumps
01:27:828 (1,2,1) - 1/1 + 1/2 but same spacing.
Modified
01:35:101 (1,2) - delete the circle
This circle is quite important for general flow
01:50:404 (3) - This is more intense but you use a slider rather than circles ):
Modified
01:57:525 (5,6) - Unstack or stack 01:57:828 (7,8) -
stack 01:57:828 (7,8)
02:22:525 (2,3) - (3) is really tough to catch...
Modified
02:36:919 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Why does the pattern suddenly change ? It sounds the same as 02:35:707 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - so you should just copy it.
I just want to prevent a very long back and forth jumps
02:49:041 (3,4,1) - Again the spacing is decreasing for nothing ):
Modified
02:58:586 (6,1,2) - Change (1)'s shape, it's a bit annoying right now.
Actually the patterns is consistent with the other sliders and jump in this part
03:08:737 (3,4) - CTRL+G ?
Not actually a difference lol
03:04:040 (5,6) - I'm a bit worried about that btw. I couldn't sightread it, I'm maybe too weak but I do think you should use a repeated 1/4 slider instead since it's the first time that this rhythm has appeared in the music...
The spacing actually between these 2 sliders are definitely smaller in this part. This is readable actually
03:42:677 (5,1) - Stack them properly
Modified
03:45:101 (5,1) - Stack them for consistency with previous pattern
Modified
03:52:374 (5,1) - Same
Modified
04:05:404 - 04:12:222 - The whole section is way too hard compared to what the song provides, which makes the diff quite unbalanced. I'd advise you to nerf it completely by increasing the amount of sliders (most of red ticks are barely audible) and using DS.
Actually this part is quite easy with very small spacing. I don't agree that i map too hard compared to song provide
04:23:737 (3,4,5,6) - That antiflow is annoying, really... 04:23:889 (4,5,6) - CTRL+J here
I am not trying to map an easy map and some parts are antiflow too
04:42:980 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Use the same patterning as before ?
too long back and forth jumps are disguisting
04:47:828 (1,2,3,4,5) - same, try to be more consistent
too long back and forth jumps are disguisting
04:57:222 (7,8) - Spacing decreasing for nothing agaiiiiin ):
Modified
05:01:162 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - By making the spacing high everywhere you don't emphasize anything. Nothing feels special.
Modified with smaller spacing
As long maps, the last repeating part is slight harder. Also, this part is connected to the previous increasing spacing part.

05:16:919 (4) - remove ?
Changed to a slider at 3
You could add a spinner to the end so it covers the song entirely.
This soft end would be suitable enough
Good luck.
Thx for ur modding. I have finished ur mod.
Skylish
I am here to check the source randomly. The music used is accel.ed.

Source of Lime - Smiling (long ver.) : http://www.gdbg.tv/2015/#top (Stage 4-11)

The current one is accel.ed. Where is the source then ?_?

Offset: 560 sounds better imo.

- Uncheck countdown and widescreen support in Song Setup > Design (Unless it's intended)

00:37:980 (4) - Why is this so close to 00:37:829 (3) - when 00:37:677 (2,3) - and 00:37:980 (4,5) - are not so close? 00:36:617 (2,3) - has the same beat as 00:37:829 (3,4) - and it's way more spaced!

01:02:525 (2) - Stack it with 01:01:616 (4) -

01:07:374 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Looks hard to read

01:13:737 (1) - Stack this with 01:13:283 (1) -

01:22:980 (5) - NC?

01:27:828 (1,1) - Never seen sliders like this before xD

01:35:707 (1) - Why NC?

01:39:798 (4) - Stack this with the slider end circle of 01:40:404 (6) -

01:51:768 (3) - Stack this with the slider end circle of 01:52:525 (2) -

02:00:252 (1) - I personally think this slider is too slow and awkward to play at this velocity. Consider changing it's velocity!

02:02:980 (5,8) - What if you stack these two on 02:04:192 (1) - and move this 02:03:132 (6) - up a little?

02:04:646 (1) - Why NC?

04:17:980 (4) - Stack it with 04:17:677 (2) -

05:03:738 (2) - Stack it with 05:04:496 (1) -

A short mod but I hope I could help! Fun map :D

Good Luck with your map! :)

I change the velocity as significate intensity drop
