wow, I didn't know there's so many multilinguals. I always thought that other than canada which is so unpopulated, most people in other countries speak only one language fluently

ampzz
Australian English and a reasonable level of Japanese which I'm forcing myself to learn to become fluent at.

Wishing to pick up traditional Chinese and French.
BatterKnife
Icelandic (native)
English (fluent)
Danish (intermediate or something like that)
Japanese (A fair amount of this and that and some kanji)
Zelmarked
I heard English was one of the hardest languages to learn. Glad it's my native language.

Regardless of it's accuracy, I've heard it to. It's not that uncommon to hear.
BatterKnife
I didn't find English hard to learn at all. Maybe it's because most Northern European languages are closely related to it.

I think it only applies to people in Eastern Countries mainly because how different English is, compare to their mother languages from every aspect. The other way around is correct too if we're talking about an English-speaking guy learning Chinese.
nimi
portuguese and english. can understand spanish, but it's hard for me to speak xD started japanese classes some years ago, but quit after 2.5 years :v

2, tagalog and english fluently. However I know a wee bit of japanese due to anime and 4 months worth of conversational japanese, and a bit of spanish because in tagalog language at least 35-40% of it came from spanish words. And knowing certain words in other languages like chinese, vietnamese and korean doesn't count because all I know is, hello, and thank you.

Spanish is my first language.... not spanish from Mexico or Spain... argentine spanish is a bit different, it has a little of italian accent.
I put that I only know 1 language because my english isn't perfect yet. All I know about english is for internet needs, like in games or forums...
I want to learn perfectly Italian and Japanese... I love those languages...

Indeed, I like everything related with languages, I love learning about another language or teaching what I know about them. I enjoy this more than playing games lol.
Haseo_old
Blue text? Oh gawd.

Second Year students in our school are taught Japanese. And I'm horrible at it.
