Since this is the case, I'd like to have 00:29:990 (17,18) - these two as different because they are different pitches. Also, it's more consistent with the earlier pattern 00:21:990 (3,4) - there.
• 00:34:990 (25) - This one should be a d too, it is the exact same sound as the following 00:35:490 (26) I want it to be consistent with the previous pattern 00:26:990 (11,12) - here, the kd.
• 00:54:490 - A note could definitely fit here to follow the vocals It could, but the 1/1 triples I have there are enough. I don't wanna create a pattern with 7 1/1 objects.
• 00:58:490 - And here as well for the same reasons ^
• 01:00:990 (13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23) - I'm not sure about this invertiion of colors, I wouldn't diferenciate this part from 00:44:990 (13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23) the pitch is pretty different
• 01:23:365 (32) - This one could definitely be a k to fit the vocals and to diferenciate 01:22:990 (31,32,33) from 01:20:990 (27,28,29) Fixed, this is the opposite of what you suggested for Kantan, lol.
• 01:39:365 (66) - Same suggestion for this part, change to k Fixed~
Muzukashii
• 00:34:490 (48,49,50,51,52,53,54) - I would change this pattern to dkdkkdd What is your reasoning here? I personally dislike that pattern because it would be inconsistent with the earlier pattern in the map.
• Again with this part : 01:00:990 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5) I would keep the same hitsounds as the previous part Same reasoning as Futsuu then.

@Voyage I wanted to have a difference between the patterns at 00:27:240 - and 00:28:240 - , since the notes at 00:27:240 - and 00:27:365 - lead into a higher note at 00:27:490 - . And having 00:27:240 - as k would kinda clutter up the sounds here.

@Midnaait Accepted both points since there were quite a bit of doubles in the area, and this would give a nice break.

@Kazaze Sorry, but I didn't accept anything. Mainly because I was following the higher bells or vocals when you suggested to change something to d, and it would kinda defeat the purpose of that. But thanks for the compliment! :D

00:33:990 (17,18,19) - It's weird you use the k sound 1/1 earlier than usually. Swap (17,18) and remove (19) because it's pretty tough to play oo oo so it's recommend to leave a note here. You could also remove 00:36:490 (20) - instead but I think (19) is the better choice.
00:38:990 (23,24,25) - You used this rhythm previously in the calm part, instead try to follow the vocals for now: https://derpovic.s-ul.eu/b2uVUugL

00:45:490 (32,53) - 00:45:490 (32,53) - For the case you don't agree with 00:38:990 - : Your Kantan difficulty is quite dense - having five notes in a row which are not single-colour is probably too hard at all. You should remove both.

01:11:740 (4,5) - If you decide to keep the 1/2 note, you need to remove (5), it might even be the better choice to keep (4) because 1/1 sounds weird imo.
01:13:740 (7,8) - ^
01:15:740 (10,11) - ^

(apply for the other loops too)

Generally I don't really mind the 1/2 usage since the BPM is fairly low but you need to conisder that to switch from 1/1 to 1/2 and back to 1/1 is a tough move for a Kantan Difficulty. However, I applied to all these changes and I brought the difficulty to 1.02*

[Futsuu]
00:20:990 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - because of 00:25:490 (9,10) - it makes the combo from 4 to 10 quite long. And this continues with 00:26:990 (11,12,13,14,15,16,17) - and so on. Remove 00:21:490 (2) - and 00:25:490 (9) - . As well, remove 00:29:490 (16,23) - to be consistent.
00:37:490 (2) - d d k sounds better than d k k, I don't really hear anything higher compared to 00:36:990 (1) - , so change the note to k.
00:41:490 (8) - ^
00:46:990 (13,18,23) - I think it will be slightly easier if you change them to k, k d d kkk d d kkk looks simpler. (13) can be also changed since the vocals would be suitable to do that and to stay consistent with (18,23).

00:52:990 - 01:08:990 - Apply to the things above.
01:24:740 (34) - wouldn't you move it to 01:24:490 - to have the same rhythm like 01:08:490 (3,1) - which follows the same basically?

It's quite worrisome to have all these 1/4 notes in the Kiai, despite the low BPM I think to use them makes you walk on thin ice.

00:21:240 (2,16,30,44) - I think ddkdk works better with the music. (in short: make them all to d.)
00:28:990 (29,30,31,32) - Even tho I suggested above to change (30) to d, I think this part could be slighty different from the first loops in 00:20:990 - 00:28:490 - . Remove 00:29:240 (30,32) - and make 00:29:490 (31) - to d.

00:37:740 (3,4,1) - I don't really believe the triplet is good here, instead, remove (3,4).

01:08:615 (1) - I think you can nerf this part slight by removing that note, so you only have one doublet. I think the little break you create makes it more comfortable to play.

Looks good but needs some fine-tuning.

[Oni]
00:24:990 - 00:28:990 - The Doubles and the triplets sounds quite unnatural, even less fitting compared to the first loop on 00:20:990 - 00:24:740 - . It's cool to include the doubles starting from 00:28:990 - but these ones are really weird to play.
00:31:740 (49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56) - I find d k ddkkd works better with the music. Pattern-wise it's basically nothing wrong but uh.. the ddkdd part doesn't fit so well compared to 00:50:990 (139,140,141,142,143) - .
00:40:115 (90) - while I agree with the doublet usage on 00:39:240 (85,86,87,88) - I don't agree with 00:39:990 (89,90) - . Move (90) to 00:40:240 - .
00:40:865 (93) - It's okay for the most time to get back from a short break with a doublet but in this case it sounds weird imo and should be removed.
00:56:740 (169) - You really should leave a little break here, you don't lose anything by removing the note and you also had a little break on 00:40:740 - .
01:24:490 (305) - Do you think you could move the note to 01:24:365 - ? The sound here is suitable to have two doublets.

[Inner Oni]
00:20:990 - 00:28:990 - pretty much the same case than Ayyri's Oni: The Doublets doesn't really fit in comparison with the music, I think the extra beat the music adds from 00:28:990 - makes a huge impact change so the doublets are more appropriate there than using them before already. So finally I recommend to get rid of the doublets in this part.

00:39:990 (1,2,3,4,5) - I find the decision to have kdddk here is.. weird. It feels overdone and not really suitable with the music imo. One thing you could do is to change (1) to d, to have ddddk, this fits better with the background music. An alternative to add more rhythm would be to remove (3) so you have kd dk which sounds cool.
00:41:740 (10,11,12,13,14) - same case here, I'd recommend to remove (13).
00:42:990 (17,18,19) - Instead of the case above, kddkd would fit here well. But I am unsure if you want to follow the vocals at all.
00:52:865 (60) - I really don't see to use dkk here instead of ddk. Maybe I just fail to hear out where exactly is the significant sound which makes it worth? idk
01:24:240 (111,112,113,114) - You may want to change them into kd dk.

BGM mapping isn't really my taste here but I guess it works.


So my conclusion: The map is on a good way to be worth to be nominated but there is still a lot of room left for improvement. You have some good attempts on a lot of parts but these could be improved or there are other parts which needs to be re-done. After all, my two concern are these:

-) The usage of 1/4 rhythm in the Futsuu might be too rough so you may nerf that too in future but I can't really prove it causes harm for now.
-) The gap between Muzukashii/Oni should be better since Oni feels almost too complex in comparison with Muzukashii.

Remove 00:29:240 (30,32) - and make 00:29:490 (31) - to d. I did that 00:32:990 - here instead, and did something similar 00:28:990 - here.

I prefer to keep these, mainly for two reasons:
  1. The strong drum that I am mapping here is present right from the beginning, so I think it makes sense to map this.
  2. The transition effect from the beginning to the section of 00:28:990 and the following section of 00:36:990 would not work as well if note density were even lower right at the start, I don't think it's such an intense difference between the first two sections, I seeit as a gradual increase. And I don't see it as a problem to have the main beat from the beginning and gradually add to it in this way.

00:52:865 (60) - I really don't see to use dkk here instead of ddk. Maybe I just fail to hear out where exactly is the significant sound which makes it worth? idk There are fairly strong claps here, changed to kkd though.
01:24:240 (111,112,113,114) - You may want to change them into kd dk. I think triples work fine as they land on the strong sounds of both piano and drum, changed the part before a bit though.

BGM mapping isn't really my taste here but I guess it works.

I've never mapped an Inner and I don't play Inner so it's all up to your jurisdiction, but I hope you found some of this helpful ^^

Unfortunately, I can't really respond to the above, because I basically remapped my diff to have less notes and be more fitting to the song, adjusted some parts for vocal emphasis though.

Comparing these difficulties too directly would cause me to to lose my intended patterns for these areas. For example, I'm not going to map the vocals that are 1/4 in this Futsuu because it's a simple Futsuu and they would be out of place. I buffed this doff to roughly 150 objects, and I think it's all good.

kiai breaks don't need to be changed because it's a one minute kiai, breaking that long of a kiai is reasonable

Hello Jon and guys, I would like to point out some issues existing in the set.

  • [Futsuu]
  1. From 00:48:000 - 01:20:000 - there are no 2/1 or longer breaks throughout the kiai. making the gap with Kantan quite significant. I would suggest removing some notes so beginners could rest a bit between patterns.
  2. 00:48:500 (2) - delete ? By doing this there will be a 2/1 break placing naturally between vocals.
  3. 00:56:500 (18) - 01:04:500 (2) - 01:12:500 (18) - same as ^
  • [Muzukashii]
  1. From 00:15:500 to 01:20:000 - there are no 3/2 or longer breaks throughout this 65-second session. This is rather demanding compared to the availability of rest moments in Futsuu.
  2. 00:47:500 (3,4) - these notes could simply be removed for a 2/1 break before the dense kiai.
  • [Ayyri's Inner Oni]
  1. 00:55:750 - 01:03:750 - 01:11:750 - I would recommend removing these kiai gaps. They are in fact unnecessary as the pace of music remain constant and pose visual interference due to frequent on-off toggling.
