You have the rhythm, but you tend to over-map, and you forget to use the beat-snap. Over-map generally leads to low-quality maps, so try to map as closely to the song as possible. Plus although difficult to work around at first, the beat-snap divisor allows you to follow the rhythm of the song, while other players can as well. Plus it increase the quality of the map. Only turn it off when you want to exaggerate a part, or the other way around: to UNDER exaggerate. Of course only exaggerate / under-exaggerate when the song does. You'll know when it does. 90% of the time keep that on, and keep it relevant to the difficulty you plan to map as well.

My mods usually consider the beauty of the map, so no hitsounding, meta-data or beatplacement mod >.<

General thing, you should keep in mind
You have a lot of overlaps which doesnt look very pretty imo. Best example is 00:00:384 (1,3) - in insane diff at the very beginning. This kind of overlap looks pretty random, there's like not structure or more like no reason to put note 3 somewhere in the slider 1.

00:02:678 (2) - i dont know many things of hitsounding but you shouldnt do a whistle on the whole slider. mark the first (or the second as u want) circle of the slider and put a whistle there, same for 00:03:560 (4) - 00:16:619 (1,2,3) - and so on, i think you know what i mean (it sounds better that way imo)
00:04:089 (5,1) - another example of a random overlap, it just makes your map untidy (btw, imo slider 1 looks very boring to me, consider a stream or more sliders maybe)
00:17:678 (1,2,3) - ^
00:24:736 (4,1,2) - ^ (use blankets more often for better look)
00:30:031 (5,7) - ^ (i think you get it now, try to fix all of them, here my last example :D 00:32:148 (5,2) - )

00:08:678 (1,2,3) - this is a good example for a "flow thing", making it like feels way better imo. Try to look for opportunites making flow, flow is a great thing in mapping! :D
00:14:501 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - make your patterns look cleaner, stack objects and get structure
00:46:442 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - i like how you emphasize the vocal there, keep that through the map, thats your style (in the beggining you did that also)

The advices i gave you in Insane diff fits with the Hard diff too. As your first mod said, keep (especially on easier diffs) a consistent DSing. Use blankets and stack objects to create structure. Some hitsounds arent proper i think, but i cant tell you how to do it right..... :(

Thanks very much man. When i made som of those overlaps i probably got a bit fancy which is weird because i dont actually, like you, enjoy playing maps with overlaps everywhere. Will change them. Totally agree with what you said about the opening stream, i havent been able to get it right. Will try your suggestion. Also yes lmao i suck at hitsounding.

People that play on easy are most of the time beginners. Anything misleading is kind of bad. I understand that you find it very hard not to but you should probably let distance snap do everything.
00:01:442 (3) Too close to 2.
00:12:913 (4) Make this a slider to 00:13:266 (and of course remove 5 when you do). Don't forget to distance the slider after accordingly.
00:13:442 (1) Make this part of previous combo and start a new combo at 00:14:501
00:37:442 (2) Should not be placed under the slider before that. I suggest x:168 y:304
00:52:442 (6) This slider should be as long as 4 (00:51:031). Also it should have a follow up slider like 5 is to 4 but on 00:53:325.
00:57:736 (4) Is too close to the end of 3. I suggest x:228 y:56
01:12:383 (4) Should start at 01:12:207 and last till 01:12:736
01:13:089 Since 4 isn't here anymore you place a slider between here and 01:13:266

01:08:501 - 01:09:383 (1,2,3,4,5,6) These are very hard placed and out of line (difficulty wise) to the rest of the beatmap. Also it is very hard that these are only hit circles and no sliders are involved. I suggest that you make 3 sliders here instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Hey reddit guy! :3. Thanks a lot. I changed pretty much everything you said except the final thing on the hard diff. I kinda want them to be single notes because it is meant to be the most difficult part of the map but i decreased the distance of the jumps.

And my tip, turn on Distance snap when you make a beatmap and try to make some shape in notes

your beat is good now, you just need more experience

This difficulty is certainly more like a normal diff, but i'll mod it as an easy to help you improve, if this is intended to be a normal difficulty, please rename it. The majority of the comments below are applicable to easy difficulties.

Always use distance spacing, this makes it easy for new players to read and understand the map, here you have a lot of objects that are too close or too far from each other. Also try and avoid changing the slider velocity, this can be extremely confusing for new players unless it is done in an extremely obvious manner, and in my opinion this is not done here. I won't pick up on distance spacing issues, but here is a screenshot showcasing what needs fixing DS wise.

Another general comment is try to avoid using so much 1/2, these rhythms are hard for new players to pick up on

00:07:266 (5) - New combo (I'll call these NC's from now on)

00:09:560 (2,3) - This is really difficult for new players, not only is it two 1/2 single notes, but they're also stacked ontop of each other, consider revising this, maybe replacing it with a 1/2 slider

00:17:325 (5,6) - Swap these notes around, at the start of the combo you do a good job of following the music, but here it goes a little bit strange and switches what you're following and feels strange to play, switching these so the slider starts where (5) follows what you were following before, and the (6) will give emphasis on the vocal rising in pitch between (6) and (7).

00:17:325 (5) - Whilst i'm here, this should be NC'd

00:19:795 (1) - This can be changed into two circles imo, these are really strong beats, and having a slider end on the second of these beats means that you lose emphasis on the downbeat

00:25:089 (1,2) - Same comment as 00:09:560 (2,3) -

00:26:854 (4) - Consider moving the start point of this slider to 00:27:031 - and end the slider on 00:27:913 - This is a better rhythm for what you're currently following, and also allows for better emphasis on the next two notes.

I'll stop on this difficulty here, but if you take a look at the general comments, you can improve this a lot :)

Another general comment, the section starting here 00:14:501 - is more overmapped than the part before, which is much more intensive?? Also, from what I can see, I don't know what you're following in the music at times, and it feels like you're trying to do everything at once, focus on one part of the music, for examples drums, melody or vocals. This will give you a much better sense of rhythm and direction in this map. I don't really know how to mod this difficulty so i'm gonna have to leave this one here.

Thanks a lot! I looked through the easy suggestions and they seem good but at this point, im honestly considering just scrapping the entire easy diff and remaking it. I am obv new to mapping and didnt use DS at all for the easy diff, i've just edited it in later which turns chaotic.

When it comes to what i mapped in the music i tried to map mostly after the lyrics (the triple triangles in hard and insane for example), but making it clearer is definitely something i need to improve on. The metadeta changes make sense aswell, will go through with those.

Thanks a lot. It's actually best that you modded easy since that is the diff that i struggle with the most when making maps! I went through with all the changes suggested.

You have distance snap errors everywhere (use AI-mod to spot and fix them)

This diff is more like a Normal than an Easy, but if it's your only difficulty below 2.00 stars, it can still be a Normal, it just has to act as the "Easy" map of the set. Because of this, rename your map to Normal.

00:05:854 - End spinner here, it's so weird to keep spinning when the vocals start

00:07:178 (1) - Don't use kicksliders in easys, regardless of how slow they may be. These are very confusing for new players. Just use a regular slider IMO.

00:11:501 (3,4) - Lessen the overlap here

00:14:501 (1) - This slider could be more visually appealing, just use a regular curve here

00:26:501 (4,5) - Somewhat weird flow, 5 could be moved to the right

00:31:442 (1) - Sliders going in on themselves like this is unrankable, let alone in a Normal. Just extend it out.

00:08:678 (1) - Claps on everything from this and beyond in this part is kinda too much, tone it down

00:20:501 (5,2) - Blanket these two together (blanket = shaping the slider so it is shaped around another object so that neither object touch)

00:25:266 (2) - Don't overlap with the long slider

01:09:207 (5,6) - Move these so the distance between 5,6 and 3,4 is the same as the distance between 3,4 and 1,2

01:09:383 (6,2,3) - Avoid this overlap

01:11:325 (5) - Ugly slider

General

  1. There are alot of spacing inconsistencies throughout the map, i haven't included most of them because the mod would be just full of me repeating myself
    (An example is at 00:16:619 (1,2,3) on insane diff)
  2. Reduce the amount of whistles used in hard diff (sounds really bad on default skin)
  3. Alot of things that don't exactly follow rhythm (pointed out majority in easy and will probably apply to other diffs)
  4. Use my mod of easy as a template of the other diffs as same things will apply to some sections
  5. Switch up the sound sets you use to match the song
Easy
00:00:384 - I think this part sounds better with soft hitsounds (Also i would have the volume at around 50% because song is quiet here)
00:00:490 - unnecessary timing point as you can just change the red timing point's volume
00:11:501 (3) - This should match the length of previous 2 sliders (End on previous red tick)
00:12:913 (4) - End on previous white tick
00:13:795 (5) - Not necessary but to properly follow music end this on previous red tick
00:15:560 (2) - Make this have an equal distance from the 2 sliders around it
00:25:089 (2,3) - This pattern (Timing wise) should be repeated (Starting at 00:26:501)
