Easy - Simple rhythm structures, with an occasional 3/4. Make sure to look out for SV changes, use the sliderticks to your advantage to calculate to slider's speed!
Normal - Rhythm and spacing is getting a bit trickier, again, look out for SV changes, sue the sliderticks!
Hard - Now the harder diffs come, quite some usage of 1/4, some streams, some jumps, and SV changes, and rather small circles
Amnesia - A lot of 1/4, quite tricky spacing, unforgiving HP and small circles. And SV changes, like in the other diffs

To the modders: I refuse to change SliderTickRate. It's used to help the players read the sv changes better!

Got asked to take a little look at timing - Offset needs to reset somewhere around 00:17:652 to account for the extended vocal. Delay is in the region of 1/12 so try adding a red line at 00:17:689 with BPM 136 and shifting everything forward to resnap.

No need to kudos this - good luck with the map!

I will be modding the topmost difficulty downwards.

Amnesia
  1. I feel like this difficulty is conflicting with itself and whether it wants to map the drum kicks or not. The most obvious examples are when you have the drums put on such low priority that you're hitsounding sliderticks for the drums - normally, this would be okay if you were following vocals or something, but for a 1-minute map you should generally stick to one or the other.
  2. The drums in this map are fairly complex and would make for quite a good difficulty, regardless of the vocals, but you seemingly swap between the drums and vocals nonstop. That's also something that is okay, but for a 1-minute difficulty just leaves the player feeling confused rather than invested.
  3. As such, I would recommend re-visiting the entire map and consciously deciding when and where to follow the drums. The vocals aren't that good to follow for a higher difficulty because they tend to fade over very long beats while the drum actually does something interesting. I personally would recommend sticking to the drum.
  4. 00:11:468 (3,4,1) - Rotate these back by 2 degrees and make sure that 3 and 1 are actually the same distance from 4. As it is now, they are very clearly not and it feels very weird.
  5. 00:16:320 (2) - I see what you're trying to do here but ctrl+g does feel better. It'll also prevent any sightreading issues due to the small circle size and consistency with other 1/2 or 1/4 distance parts, such as 00:14:556 (2,3,4) - . (This one has relatively the same spacing, but has 1/2 timing between 2 and 3.)
  6. 00:23:857 (5) - there should really, really be a click on the blue tick. You're forcing a pattern on the player when the music is doing something different, it won't play well. This is the most obvious example of disconnect between the drums and the patterns you are using.
  7. 00:32:681 (1,1) - bad blanket
  8. 00:37:975 (5) - Same as 23:857 and this happens fairly often.
  9. 45 seconds and on is copy pasted so uh yeah
  10. Overall, I feel like this difficulty falls into the trap of "making a map harder is simply making it more dense". I'd say a good 80% of mappers don't truly understand how to map insanes or extras. On the other hand, those that do can likewise fail to understand what makes a map a good easy or normal. This is entirely because of the fact that what constitutes "difficult" changes subtly but massively as players get better. The transition from Insane to Extra is often written off as "simply more notes", but it's more subtle than that.
  11. Likewise, this difficulty transitions from "Hard" to "Insane" simply by "having more notes". But simply adding more clicks to Hard's structure makes for a very weird map that doesn't play very well. There are many points in the Insane that should have been triples or doubles to follow the drums, but were instead 1/4 sliders or 1/2 sliders that skipped the drum hit entirely. This is simply a failure to transition the map to what makes an insane "An Insane difficulty" - that is to say, a more physically difficult map, not a more mentally difficult one.

Hard
  1. Now see, this difficulty differs from Amnesia because it is much, much more simple and thereby plays much better. Because it sticks to a consistent rhythm and doesn't actually bother with following the drums precisely at particular times, it's much less jarring for the player to skip over the drums. This causes the player to simply "read the map" rather than "read the music". For better or for worse, Hard is an example of a map that has its own rhythm over the music. That's fine, in my opinion. But Amnesia makes major disconnects that make it play very uncomfortably.
  2. I didn't come across any particular errors here.

I likewise did not find any particular issues with Easy or Normal, except for the fact that that sliderticks visible in the editor will not render (be visible in game) underneath the slider starts and ends, which can lead to more confusion for players rather than less in the case of slider velocity changes. Please keep this in mind.

also your Amnesia OD 9 CS 6 HP8 are SO cruel, i wonder if there is someone (who isnt pro) passed it so better you reduce OD HP setting by 1 point for all diffs ><

Lowered OD/HP in highest 2 diffs (and increased them a bit in Normal for better spread)

Neat concept, I like it a lot. It's interesting to see a map with changing SV designed for newer players; I guess you could think of it as a training map in a way?

[Normal]

00:22:092 (1) - Don't change this I guess but yuck. This slider is just gross. Looks like the kinda slider that if it could talk it'd be a real jerk.

00:30:916 (2) - I think this slider should be moved up a bit. Looks better that way imo.

[Advanced]

00:04:408 (3,4,1) - Flow feel felt awkward, the angle from 3->4 and then 4->1 was pretty sharp, and then you have to go back again because of the reverse. I'd move 00:05:290 (1) up a bit and to the right.

00:14:996 (3) - Another jerk slider :c

00:37:092 (1,2) - Straighten the start of 2 a bit so it blankets 1 better

00:39:739 (1) - sliderend could be angled down just a hair to blanket better

[Hard]

00:11:908 (4,1) - This blanket looks like it has inconsistent spacing (not DS, but the blanket itself)

00:32:680 (1) - I'm personally not a big fan of sliders like these ones, where like rotates around itself at the start. They just feel weird to play and look at.

[Amnesia]

Ayy CS 6. I love high CS maps.

No comments on this one. Blankets look great, I think some of the sliders are weird but I don't think you'd change them since it'd just be my opinion.

Good luck with the set! Sorry that the mod wasn't great, but it's a short song and I didn't think it was worth commenting on the SV change thing other that I like the concept.

Hobbes, fixed all, except some sldiershapes. I changed the first jerkslider, bt kept the others, just to have some variety in slider shapes!

I can both remove the offset by editing the audio and remove letterbox from the background, making it 16:9 without aspect ratio loss.
Hitsounds are too loud, sometimes up to the point where they become noisy.
Last, but not least, I don't like combo colours you chose.

[Amnesia]
After fixing these two, recopy hitsounds onto the rest of the set, because lower difficulties have some samples missing as well.

  2. 00:16:651 (3) and 00:34:555 (5) - missing clap
[Hard]
  1. 00:44:813 (1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - having compared it to the above difficulty, I don't think both the pre-stream jump and the stream itself are suitable for Hard.
[Advanced and Normal]
  1. 00:13:342, and 00:52:203, and 00:55:732 - add a storyboarded clap sample

00:12:350 (1) - this reverse slider seems unnecesarry imo
00:16:320 (2,3,4) - Blanket this better
00:25:622 (1) - I think you can rework this so that it looks the same as the other sliders
