sorry for posting, but yeah wanted to clarify that snaps can be simplified :lKagetsu wrote:
uh... i think the snapping is just wrong at some places,
for example, in Plus Ultra diff:i was reading the previous mods and KittyAdventure pointed something about this but you didn't reply to him properly xd
- 00:25:290 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - the whole stream is mapped into nothing, the piano is clearly not 1/4 and there's no 1/4 instrument in here, the last 3-2 notes sounds even worse because the music already stopped at this point, the only thing remaining is indeed the guitar listen again there is like 1/16, 1/8 sound that can be mapped as 1/4
- 00:59:645 (1,2,3,4,1) - pretty much the same as previous, the piano is not 1/4 here. same as above
- 01:22:629 (2,3,4,5,1,2,3) - i wonder why did you decide to change the sampleset to the soft one here?, it doesn't sound good imo, the stream is clearly mapped into the drums which are really noisy so changing the sampleset isn't the best idea if you ask me. sounds good o.o
uh... not really, i'd say the piano is 1/6 in these spots... and what's the point of simplify the snapping? if the map is following an instrument then it should follow it properly, this isn't the same thing as when you ignore streams for placing jumps or something, because in those cases you're just following other instruments. however, in this case i think it's pretty obvious that those streams are intended to follow the piano. if he wanted to use a simpler rhythm then he could just use a slider to follow the guitar like the other diffs did.
00:25:693 (6) - is still overmapped, there's literally no 1/4 sound.
about the last point, it was mainly just a suggestion, it's just hard to folllow a stream when you suddenly change the sampleset without a "reason?" i mean what's the point of changing it if you were previously following the drums lol
i would prefer a reply from the mapper tho xd
