Ok ok I literally see like every thread when it comes to MX Reds vs MX Blues, but I never saw anything regarding MX Silents.

I just bought my Corsair Strafe RGB MX Red keyboard (coz I badly need an upgrade on my shitty Razer keyboard), but the original plan was to buy the MX Silent version of it. I was looking for opinions if MX Silent is okay ouo

Any opinions? >w<

Aren't MX silents same as MX reds but as the name says they reduce the noise? xD
(I never had Corsair MX keyboard so i am not a specialist)

At least that's what I heard regarding MX Silents vs MX Reds on some reviews on YT. I'm just not too sure if it okay to use it in osu :c

Oh it definetly is. It's just up to you. The force needed to push Silent and Reds are about the same so it shouldnt affect much
I am playing on Razer BlackWidow with these weird Razer green switches that work like Cherry MX Blues xP and its totally fine for me

MX silent is basically MX red + Orings iirc. They aren't any quieter than that at the very least which means despite the name they are still loud as fuck if you are playing osu with them. Might get less dirty looks using your keyboard around the office though I guess.

You should be more interested in the MX Speed switches if you really care about performance. Those have a slightly higher actuation point than standard Reds, at 1.2 mm instead of 2 mm

Doesn't change the fact that regular Reds still travel 2 mm to actuate, while Speeds travel 1.2 mm

I actually just used the MX Speed switches. It actually worked a lot better than reds. Literally did like some FCs on a few AR9 maps. Sometimes near FC and then sudden chokes that lead to a game over lol

Try QS1 switch, even better.

MX Speed travels shorter than QS1 for actuation. (1.5 vs 1.2 mm respectively)

QS1 has shorter Throw (3mm vs 4mm). For a lot of people (me for example), i need to bottom out the key to stream and keep the beat. If you bottom out, actuation doesn't mean anything.

any key other than razer's green is good for osu
Source : i use razer green
