Hi people, i have problems with osu, when i start osu i get this error: "the local beatmap database seems corrupt, will create from scratch" and always I have to refresh the beatmaps, this happened since I have 1000 beatmaps, i tried to delete some beatmaps, delete the osu!.db and osu."user".cfg

anybody have a solution?

Rename the Songs folder to something random, Songs1 even.

Create a new folder called Songs and run the game. Go into Solo, and then press F5. Go out of the game and then back to your osu! folder and delete the Songs folder, and then rename Songs1 back to Songs.

Go into osu! and then go into Solo, press F5 and let everything detect.

I had this error last night, and that's what I did to fix it.

I get this error a lot too, but it's most likely due to the fact that I run osu from my external hard drive.

Could you please let osu! load and process all your songs, exit, then email me your osu!.db file? Please zip it so it isn't too large. pe@ppy.sh

All peppy has to do is sit down and attempt to sort out the initial problems, and before you know it, the problem fixes itself.

Magic. ;)

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
