This way you have more break, so instead you can add d at - 00:06:601 - and move - 00:06:769 (7) - to - 00:06:938 - to properly follow the song. If you do also remove - 00:07:106 (8) - to separate the previous rhythm from the following part. accepted, though I'll have to see what happens to kantan because the start is basically that now. Might have to do something else if it's too similar after a while.
* 00:39:635 (101) - remove ? consistency with - 00:45:028 -. Maybe you did not do it there because there were too many notes coming after but even at the first spot i think so it really is not necessary. sure, I have no idea why I didn't map it at the second place but you're probably right.
* For the whole kiai i heavily suggest to apply what i suggested for the beginning. It makes the rhythm much more clear to read, right now it feels too messy for beginners. Kiai part is done differently now, made it less dense but there is still 1 out of 2 parts which will have the 1/4 sounds. Otherwise it's too easy and I'm not really mapping the song anymore.
* 01:28:343 - ^ same for this part.
* 01:40:140 (93) -/ 01:41:489 (98) - i would remove those 2 again, same purpose ^.
* 01:49:073 (122) - uh why is this not at - 01:49:242 - instead ? changed both, also moved 01:43:427 (93) - 1/4 beat forward.
In case you don't like at all what i suggested for the beginning/kiais, i still suggest you to find another way to map those part with more breaks to properly separate the different type of rhythms.

[Oni]
More Inner than Oni at that point x_x even with the muzu being slightly harder than it should be, this difficulty is like way harder already lol..
* 00:02:640 (5) -/ 00:03:652 (12) - i would remove those ones for example, they are not even needed following the song, and by doing this you are creating some sort of repetitive structure (x x xx) that repeat itself and is easier to understand. Then remove - 00:05:168 (22) - and - 00:05:337 (24) - too for the same reason. Going to try that.
* 00:11:489 (63,64,65,66,67) - i would just use a slider instead of all that and make the following dkddk a d d k 1/2 instead, it fits like much more the song lol. Idk where those kd kd come from at this sounds like some monocolor full 1/4 stream here. had it to fit the sounds but yeah, slider is more simple lol
* 00:34:410 - well from here it's kinda messy again, i really dont get what those patterns are following lol.. example for - 00:34:410 - to - 00:35:758 - :

something like that instead at least fits the melody, right now i honestly have no idea what that ddkdd stands for. And then for the following notes from - 00:35:758 - to - 00:37:107 - i would do something like that :

I put the patterns there according to how I felt it fit with the music but if you say it's random then I guess ...
* kiais : refer to my first suggestion as the beginning of the song is like kiais musicaly (you could probably even add a kiai section there btw uh?). Going to be safe and keep these as the same for now.
* 01:33:315 (122) - i would remove that one, really not needed. agree
* 01:40:393 (33) - welp move this to - 01:40:562 - instead ? yeah ok
The issue in this Oni is that i think you tried to follow the piano melody while keeping not too long patterns, espcially noticeable in that last kiai section x_x. The result is just awkward imo, i would rather focus more on the normal rhythm or find some repetitive structure that still fit, and use sliders to cover some long piano note parts instead. true, to be honest I had a hard enough time mapping this in an Oni level already without having it go aboard into Inner Oni territory, so it's good to see suggestions for improvement.

Thanks for your input and star, this mod was indeed very helpful with fixing my Oni diff in particular (now to see what changes Ritsu will make).

Heya, mod from pm request, just going to focus on oni for now.

In my opition, this diff plays out a bit strange in parts like beginning until 00:11:320 because it feels like you're mapping the instrument independent from the drums, I think you should try to incorporate these more for better flow. From this, I would suggest:

I think you should change 00:02:556 to d for contrast to the stronger sound of 00:02:725 and also add a d on 00:03:062 for the drums, I think this flows better.
00:03:736 (11,12) ctrl+g, the first note ist higher and also has a fairly strong clap, would also be nice for kd dk structure within 00:03:736 (11,12,13,14).
I think 00:04:242 (14,15,16) sounds and plays out much better as kdk for strong claps on 00:04:242 (14,16).

The part from 00:06:095 to 00:07:444 feels a bit weird because from what you've mapped so far, I would have expected that you try to capture the strong instrument sound on 00:06:854 with a k. I suggest that you:

Move 00:06:517 to 00:06:433 and change 00:06:264 (26,27,28) to kkd and change 00:06:601 to d as well for comparatively low instrument sound
Move 00:06:938 to 00:06:854 and remove the note on 00:06:770.
00:07:022 (32,33,34,35) dk d K, the notes on 00:07:022 and 00:07:275 are relatively low compared to 00:06:854 and 00:07:107, why use a k on 00:07:275 when there is nothing to emphasize. Also, it would make more sense to make 00:07:444 K and D because you have a low instrument sound here as well.
Similarly, I think 00:08:792 (43,45,47) should be K K D, the first two are only finishes, but the last has a low piano sound, so I think D on the last one would make more sense.

Most of the above stuff also applies to your kiai time.

I think it would sound much better if you move 00:10:730 to 00:10:225 for following the instrument and change 00:10:646 to d and add a d on 00:11:067 for following the strong beats here. This works better than stacking triples here imo.
I think 00:34:747 (8,9) would sound much better as kd.
If you're going to follow the main instrument, 00:39:972 (37,38,39,40) is snapped wrong. If you listen carefully, you would need to move 00:40:140 to 00:40:056 and 00:40:393 to 00:40:309 and add a note on 00:40:477.
Shouldn't 01:41:573 be a k to keep structure with 01:40:477 (28,29) etc?
I think 01:43:006 (48,49,50) should be ddk for consistency with 01:42:753 (46,47), and 01:43:511 (52,53,54,55,56) could be ddkdk or something for better emphasis of the stronger instrument from 01:43:680.
I think you could well remove 01:44:354 for small break before the part with finishes starting at 01:44:522 for better transition.

The first kiai is full 1/2+1/1+3/2 without any rests which are already really hard for a Futsuu map, let alone a Kantan ;w;i know you have a julie's diff for better spread but the jump from beginner to here is just too drastic ;w; also the high bpm does not help lol I'll just suggest some notes which can be deleted to give some rests for players ;w;

tbh the map can be toned down a LOT. The mapper did a pretty good job of following the song,but quite some parts are simply overkill for a Kantan ;w; The map itself is pretty cool but meh it'll fits more as a futsuu Just went through the five basic diffs and everything is harder than normal so it's fine I guess...? Still you might wanna have some more rests

all is updated now~ + Futsuu should be less dense, idk about parts such as after the first kiai because the sounds there seem essential to map even for a basic diff (unless you can suggest something better of course).

I don't get the purpose of a map that uses 2/1 and 4/1 only(edited)
when the Kantan is already that

it doesn't help spread as it's the lowest diff as well
otherwise the only complain I have about the set is that the beginning does not have kiai activated

sorry to nitpick I guess but there's some things I disagree here.

have a ranked example of that. (i'm not looking at star difficulty at this point really since it means nothing to me in this case, as long as Beginner is represented as being easier than Kantan, i'm good with that.)

actually, I think the Beginner fits the role of a Kantan from other taiko mapsets that have more basic rhythms for a song (example: upbeat anime OP/ED with a singer's voice that is easily mapped to), compared to this song out of an actual rhythm game that has much more of a complex melody and rhythm to it. think of the Kantan as a Kantan+, only in this day and age we're obviously not going to use those diff names here.

the beginning of the song is exactly the same as 00:55:983 - just that it's shorter.

also I don't get why TKS' diff is OD7 and the Oni is OD5.5, either make Oni OD6 or reduce TKS' OD to OD6.5 since the song is only 178 BPM and you have to suck a lot to get note lock on 1/8 triplets.
