I really enjoyed Grandia II despite it being pretty low-key and/or clearly flawed in many aspects. That's the only important game for me that I can remember that hasn't already been brought up in this thread. I should get around to playing the other games in the series.
Grandia II is pretty much the only one that was worth it, IMO. The story was at its lowest in III, but it had pretty fun combat. I is just dated nowadays.Jarby wrote:

Everything's available on Ebay (and cheaper if you import from the UK).
Although, I bought my copy of Persona 3 from a (now closed) Gametraders. Persona 1 for PSP came from Play Asia.
I would think there's still some Persona 4 copies floating about in normal brick and mortar stores too (But still probably cheaper on Ebay).

Honorable mentions to Monster Hunter series, Wizardry style games (EO, Dark Spire, Class of Heroes etc), FF as a whole and SMT (because it's taking forever to get through any of the games).
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier is probably the most fun RPG I've played on DS so far.

Lot of good shit already mentioned.
- I played the shit out of Suikoden 3. Never bothered to get into the other titles of the series, though.
- Soul Nomad and the World Eaters is probably my favorite srpg of all time.
- Tales of the Abyss > Symphonia. Anise for life.
- Odin Sphere was absolutely fantastic.
- Eternal Sonata had a lot of terrible dialogue and parts of the story were unbearable, but combat system was top tier and some of the voice work was just fuckin' fantastic.
- Dark Cloud 1/2, shit owns.

Ah fuck Ival, you just reminded me I have to play Soul Nomad and Odin Sphere. Also, I agree with Abyss > Symphonia, the battle system in Abyss is just fun to play with. Symphonia stills holds a place in my heart though as being a great entry into the series.

I'd like to mention Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. It was a great game.
Kinda off topic, but: Could someone change the name of the topic? Just because "Best rpg games!!!" could be read as "Best role-playin-game games" as well, which sound weird. "Best Role-Playing-Games" would be much better.
