Protip if you can't find an instrumental for the song you want to sing:
Check if the song has a Taiko-diff in osu!. Then mute the music and record the sound output of the hitsounds while mekkadosu! plays.
And tadaaa, you got a beautiful drumline fit for any key you want to sing in.

On the serious side, its an interesting alternative.
last year we had 2 weeks, last last year we had... i think 2 weeks, or was it a month or 3 weeks xD im a bit glad that submissions are quicker now :3

While I was just a judge, I felt like the submissions where getting dragged along way too much, so yeah today the deadlines aren't very long.Tokufi wrote:

Ummm, I'm going to be able to record and submit my entry between UTC-5 7:00PM of the Sunday and 1:00AM of the Monday... I had a bit of a problem. If it's out of the deadline time do I still have an option??

Sigh, this is what it is when you do everything at the last second.
Even if you are not sure if you will be passing, I still encourage everyone to at the least pick their songs ahead of time, or if you are not if you can record during the submissions to record ahead of time.

I personally chose a song during judging also recorded it during that time... then after receiving the result i was like meh ok this is just bad so i decided i needed to find a new song and ended up recording almost ont the last day x)Kyonko Hizara wrote:

I already had a song picked but when I recorded I was like "okay, this is a bad idea".

Way too nervous. I can't even listen to my own entry after I post it. And for some reason I always check soundcloud to see how many plays the thing has and that just makes me even more nervous. I listen to some entries, but not all. For registrations I listened to Bonsai's entry for example cause I wondered what he'd sing (and he didn't disappoint me, comedian harmonists, lol).
And people I enjoyed listening to last year like CptHampton, Slyleaf...
