Tandashi!GroupChat is Returning!



"Tandashi!GroupChat is an IRC Bot which allows you to talk with multiple players at the same time in your own little room. It runs on osu!'s own IRC server and can be queried from within the osu! client."

This feature was highly requested so I thought why not make a IRC Bot for it.

Nice bot!

I think it would be better if Tandashi had a way to sign up for the friends list, in which case !friend would only return someone who signed up with Tandashi. That way, you don't end up bothering users who aren't particularly searching for friends.

That's a great idea. I'll probably change this soon :D

Very interesting. Unfortunately, IRC doesn't will not give you the functionality you would want.

I have a solution, though. I've made this little framework to emulate an actual client connection to Bancho. https://github.com/ekgame/bancho-client

This could help you simplify the usage of your bot. You could have users directly invite the bot to register a room, track what rooms were disbanded, etc.

Just a suggestion.

Looks great. Only thing is my bot is written in python Q.Q. Well I guess I need to rewrite it :D

Ok quick update. I removed the mulitplayer component for now but added a groupchat instead. Hope that this feature is in your favour.
If you have any feature requests than please contact me or let me know in this thread :D

Is it intended for the first post to be a nested list?

Also if you can search room by star map being played, that would be great. If you record the multiplayer link, then it is possible to get the map being played, and then the star rating of that map.

The bot is currently on Vacation (haha), but will come back. check back regulary.
