My honest advice is to speak to your parents and see if you can get some kind of deal. Be it better marks in school or more chores etc. There isn't a lot a 10 year old can do to earn that kind of money.

Good luck son.

Or maybe save like 5$ a day from your school budget, you can increase your saving faster or if 5$ is too much, try aim at least 2$.

The more you can save, the more you can earn.
Same applies to earning money.

Also aiming for good grades like what Shadow said is a good idea as well, it may be hard though, try aim at least B if possible.

My dad told me that if you want a laptop you buy it yourself.Kinda makes me mad,but maby I can ask for my bday, but until then I'll save up

As much as I'd usually agree with your dad on that (because it teaches you not to be a lazy little mongrel later in life), saying that to a 10-year old might be, eh, a bit weird. I'm not sure if you're capable of getting a thousand bucks on your own like that.

My advice would be to just either ask or it for your birthday (birthdays always work =D) or as Rilene said - collect money that you normally get for school every day. In the worst case you'll need to wait for about a year before you can buy it.

Good luck, little guy.

Well, first thing to consider is whether you really need a laptop, and what you need it for. What > do < you need it for?

The way you've phrased your question makes it seems as though you already own a laptop, so I'm guessing it's not just for web browsing and stuff, and if you're looking to be playing computer games and stuff, it might be worth looking into getting a desktop instead, if that's at all possible. Building your own desktop gaming PC would be many many times cheaper than going out and buying a > gaming laptop < because these companies overcharge to s***.

But that's just based on what I ASSUMED you want it for :p

I do own a laptop, but it's very slow in web browsing and I can only get around 70fps on osu.I have a early 2008 macbook with a 13 inch screen and two 1 fb sticks of ram,but I am trying to save up to but this laptop http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np3240-cle ... -8800.html or ask for it for my bday.Xoticpc has around 100usd off of what the real sager site has.Hopefully my parents will get it for me on my bday it's pretty much all I want

Alright, but I'll warn you, that doesn't seem so good if you intend to play games with it. It runs off integrated graphics, which means it won't be really able to play modern games at any degree of pleasantness, and I'm not sure if it'd even be too much of a step up from your current osu! performance.

Can I build a better CPU for under 800$???
Mahogany
Definitely!

^ Check out all of the different builds in the above link. Be aware this doesn't include Peripherals such as Mice, Keyboards or a Monitor, so you'll have to add those to your price, but it should still come out far cheaper in terms of price/performance than buying a crappy laptop!

With the default 600 dollar build, you're going to be able to run most modern games on high settings with good framerates!
For reference, I have an R9 270. IIRC I get over 1000 FPS on osu! (I can't check because now they've replaced FPS counter with latency counter SMH) and this card has an R9 380, which is quite a step up.
And, of course, that means you'll be playing totally modern games like Fallout 4 or Skyrim or Rainbow 6 and stuffs.

Not to mention what you could probs get if you picked a higher budget build.

Dell Inspiron 7559 and Lenovo Y700 are pretty good choices for a gaming laptop under a thousand bucks.
