I use the ~4.2 by 2.3 inches set to fullscreen 1920x1080
CTL-480
6" x 3.7" - active area
1920x1080 full screen
OP - if you don't move your hand at all while playing - your active area is way too small. You will not train muscle memory only by moving your fingers.

I'd say probably recommended is at least 3 inches wide, though I made 2 work for a while.
OP, I'd recommend you try to increase your tablet area to at least 3 inches wide: It'll help improve your consistency by a lot. This is all assuming you're playing fullscreen.

Depends on how you play, not to mention how tall you are (which determines the length of your arm and size of your hands and wrist).
For me, I determine my ideal scale proportions by first moving my cursor up and down (vertical) and left and right (horizontal) until it's at a good sweet spot. Then I adjust accordingly when playing a map until it's perfect.
