01:08:549 (5,6,1,2) - 5 and 6 are more closer to each other than 6 to 1 and 2 being that they are in the same time interval

00:10:642 (4,1) - i think that is too hard to get the slider one for a hard difficulty compared to 00:10:293 (3,4) -

00:21:456 (1,2) - I think this would be good for insane and not for hard (I mean the distance between they)

  1. 00:14:130 (3,1,2,3,4) - I'm not qualified to judge difficulties like this one, since I don't feel comfortable modding them and sometimes not able to pass them but I can say this looks rather confusing and difficult to read.

    Looking at your Insane diff I agree that they are very alike. I'd say that the biggest difference between these two is the circle size and some patterns here and there but it's pretty much the same. It's up to you wether you delete it or not. I'm just giving out my thoughts on the matter as you requested. :D

    I personally think that the AR is ridiculously high. Even at the kiai with increased SV feels too fast. I'd decrease it to 8,5. I tried it out and it feels much better to play imo.
  1. 00:27:909 (8) - I played the map in order to find misleading patterns and stuff, and one of the main problems I had was this circle. I got a 50 here. I thought it was 1/2 due to its spacing similar to 00:27:386 (6,7), and not 1/4. Maybe I'm just garbage at this game lol but that's what happened to me.
  2. 00:49:014 (1,2,3,4) - This could look much better. It looks messy this way imo. How about making some clean blankets to prevent these sliders from overlapping?

    I can't really say much more about this difficulty. I don't know how to mod jumpy Insane difficulties like this one. I played it, and think noticed that I miss at some weird angled patterns like 01:00:525 (1,2,3,4,5). I don't feel comfortable when playing these. I think these angles are way too acute.

    These pauses like at 00:07:502 (2) could be mapped by replacing (2) with a slider. Otherwise it's exactly the same rhythm pattern as seen in Insane and Perish difficulty. I think you could try making this difficulty different from the other ones.
  1. 00:17:793 (2,3) - I don't agree with these spacing changes. It's just a hard diff, not an insane diff. This feels like too much for a hard diff, specially because you make more spacing changes like at 00:18:839 (4,5,6,7,8) which is also too much. Hard diff players aren't as experienced as Insane diff players to read too many different patterns with inconsistent distance snap.
  2. 00:26:863 (3) - This rhythm sounds weird here because you suddenly stick to the instrumental and ignore the vocals a bit by placing that 1/4 slider. In my opinion, this slider would sound better with vocals if you delete 00:26:688 (3) and move it to (3)'s place aka 00:26:688, and then add a circle at 00:27:386. This sounds more appropriate for a Hard diff imo.
  3. 00:32:793 (4) - This looks somewhat lazy :p you could try something better here. I personally dislike these kind of curves. At least, try spreading it out like this, or try some creative shape yourself.
  4. 00:37:328 (2) - I don't think it's a good idea to decrease the SV all of a sudden like this. The song doesn't even call for it at all since it doesn't sound like it slows down. It sounds the same for me. I'd rather decrease the SV at 00:39:595 instead and add a NC to 00:39:595 (4) in order to make it noticeable and easier to read.
  5. 00:42:909 (1) - I was also gonna suggest you to remove this NC. It'd fit the music more imo.
  6. 00:45:700 (2) - That slider again >< consider trying out a more creative shape like you did before with other similar patterns.
  7. 00:49:014 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - I still think that these spacings are too difficult and increase the density of the difficulty a lot x.x It's more of an Insane diff, and Insane diff is like an Extra diff.
  8. 01:13:084 (1) - Lazy 2 repeats? :p that's boring to play! try mapping this in some other way?

I see and understand that you strictly want to follow the drums but in easier diffs it's better to ignore some and give priority to strong beats and some 1/2 beats. Try to avoid constant 1/4 patterns.
  4. 00:21:456 (4,5) - How about replacing these two with a slider? I think it'd sound nice with the vocals.
  5. 00:24:246 (4) - You don't really need to make this slider a 1/4 one to strictly follow the vocals. Changing it to 1/2 would sound just fine and more suitable for a normal diff imo.
  6. 00:25:293 (6) - Here too.
  7. 00:25:642 (1,2,3) - This looks very messy tbh. Try spreading them out more because they're overlapping each other like this. I'd try making them curved, and maybe rearrange them like this.
  8. 00:28:432 (1) - A straight slider doesn't sound fitting to the soft and melodic vocals here. How about making it curved and wavy? that'd give the player the feeling of the song more accurately.
  9. 00:36:107 (2) - This slider is overextended to 1/4 when it actually should end at 00:36:456. I think you should fix this.
  10. 00:39:595 (1) - Same as above about changing a straight slider into a wavy slider.
  11. 00:42:386 (1) - And here too :D
  12. 00:48:142 (1) - This spinner starts way too early after (3) and should be changed. I strongly suggest you to delete (3) and move the spinner there (00:47:967). That'd give beginners enough time to react and begin spinning.
  13. 00:52:328 (4) - Too high density again >< how about deleting this note to decrease it?

    From 00:52 to the end the same issues repeat all over so try to look out for these and fix them if you agreed with what I wrote. :oops:

  1. 00:11:688 (1) - This slider doesn't follow the music properly imo. You can improve the rhythm here by removing that repeat from that slider and adding another slider at 00:14:479 that ends at 00:15:874 (yup you'll need to delete (2))
  2. 00:17:270 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - The density here increases A LOT. This feels like a normal diff due to its constant 1/2 rhythm mixed up with sliders, circles, and sliders with repeat. Consider remapping a bit this part by replacing a bunch of notes by long sliders.
  3. 00:31:223 (1) - Unnecessary NC imo.
  4. 00:36:805 (1) - Same here. I know these are strong beats but in easier diffs it's better to keep combos with a minimum of 3 notes each. Short combos can result misleading for beginners.
  5. 00:42:386 (1) - Same here. I'll stop spamming with this here.
  6. 00:50:758 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - High density again >< as I said, replacing notes with long sliders will help to decrease it. For example, 00:53:200 (4) isn't really needed there so you can get rid of it. 00:52:153 (3) can be a long slider of the same length instead of a short one with repeat. 00:54:595 (2) can be removed as well. I know there's a drum sound but you can ignore these on easy diffs. 00:57:735 (4) could be removed too, etc.
  7. 01:07:502 (1) - It would be much better imo if you extend this slider to 01:08:200 and remove 01:08:549 (2) and 01:09:944 (4). This is to help decreasing the density and following better the music.
  8. 01:27:037 (1) - Too little time after (3) for beginners to prepare themselves to spin. I don't know what you can try here, but it would be nice if you could leave some more time for them before spinning.

ok it looks like you're a little misunderstood about the concept of mapping hard. the entire kiai was full of jumps, and they're not even jumps that are meant to be in a hard diff.. i recommend you look at your favourite map and open its hard diff and just study how it's executed, and then try to incorporate that into your map. right now this is just the same as your insane diff except with a hard slapped on its title , and slightly simpler rhythms

00:03:316 (1) - ur hard pattern was more interesting tbh
00:06:107 (1) - alright i know you're following vocals but there is a constant guitar sound in the background. the huge gaps like 00:07:502 (2,3) - 00:13:084 (2,3) - 00:15:525 (4,5,1) - are really unfitting
00:18:839 (4,5,6,7) - you use this pattern way too much. and im not exaggerating when i say it's literally every 2nd jump i see the same stack again

uh yeah rest of the map is just jump spam so to summerize:
  1. your rhythms are too simple when you're just following vocals
  2. dont jump spam
  3. dont spam the same jumps
  4. 00:20:758 (3,4,5) - stuff like this is broken spacing. 3->4 is 1/2 but 4->5 is 1/4 but they're the same distance apart
  5. 00:26:863 (5,6,7,8) - 1st of all polarity isn't great, 2ndly this is bad rhythmically
  6. kiai is just random jump spam
  7. 01:08:549 (5,6,1) - bad spacing, (1) isnt even that big of a note to deserve such a big jump
  8. 01:26:514 (1) - no.. you even manually edited the .osu to make it 0.13x wtf
  9. lastly your hitsounds need to be fixed throughout the mapset
same as hard, i honestly recommend you looking at ranked maps that arent by skystar cuz you're lacking foundation in this diff. once you do that you'd probably want to consider remapping because as it stands this needs a LOT of work and u might as well just redo it

@Gaia I just want to get this off my chest before I finish making the changes according to your mod. I would like to agree with you, especially on hard difficulty, but on insane I can't agree with some of the things, no this is not skystar, I did look at other ranked maps by mappers like monstrata, Milan, setz, if you look at my favorite maps, it's tons of people with different mapping style, and I can make something that is idk for my standard something that can be accepted by the majority (so far I made one: https://osu.ppy.sh/b/945504&m=0 and that one difficulty only, ignore the extra, the extra is shit, I just haven't deleted it), I can make something that is comfortable to play, but thats the thing, monstrata, setz, milan, you, fort, alacat, and tons of other mappers can do the same thing, in fact I saw you mapping this song and I was thinking Maybe I could provide a different experience for the same song, and I tweak my usually style and this was the outcome, yes I agree with the jump spams, but I have to disagree with some of the spacing comments since it was the outcome of of the style, plus it is an insane it should be readable by adequately skilled players, do you want another tatoe meme? Do you want 10 sets of TV size that plays exactly the same, I don't. So no it's not me lacking the most basic fundamentals (though I admit I do need to have a better grip of it), it's not me trying to be a special snowflake, it is just me, tweaking my usual style, and giving it to people who would enjoy this type of mapping, and I did give it to dozens of people who find it interesting and enjoyable to play, I even gave you free promotion so they can make comparison with clear cut more well polished mapping style. I know modders hate the "style" argument but have you at least try to understand how and why the notes where placed there, when I modded your maps I didn't comment on the "excessive" use of triangles and back and forth pattern, cause thats how you place notes in the first place. I do appreciate your mod and admire you as a mapper but I just can't accept all these mods without at least trying to let the modders know my intentions, and that I didn't just spam jumps for shits and giggles basically I'm a fukin retard but I still like my old version for perish and insane

  1. just a general comment, some parts feel under mapped when you are focusing on the vocals, starting from 00:06:107 (1) - and even starting here 00:17:270 (1) - I dont see how these parts are different from 00:03:316 (1) - where you chose to map the piano. also dont like the use of such slow slider velocity but big spacing, it almost looks like you are trying to copy blue dragon's gangsta map but that kind of intensity mapping just doesnt work that well with this song.
  2. 00:42:822 (2) - i am pretty sure the wiggle on this slider is unrankable because it affects the speed pretty dramatically in the middle.
  3. 00:49:014 (1,2,3,4,1) - cant make sense of this part, you have big spacing for 00:49:014 (1,2,3,4) - but small for 00:50:758 (1) - which is the strong cymbal crash and start of the kiai? i think the emphasis is wrong here :(
  4. 00:53:549 (1) - similar situation
  5. 01:26:514 (1) - lol this is so sudden, wtf this looks like any of the other 1/4 sliders in the map

  1. same comment about slider velocity, it makes the map kind of uncomfortable to play with the constant stop and go motions.
  2. also think this is just a watered down version of the insane, I think you will need another difficulty to be the hard.

I added hitsounds to the diff, it'd be cool if you could add the 2 hitsound files to the set as well. Dw I named them so they would conflict with your current hitsound patterns in any way.

-Not a big fan of the SV choice here. In addition that it's rather big jump from this to Normal, 1/2 sliders are too short which is confusing for newbies, especially the ones with repeaters like 01:03:316 (3) -
-00:36:107 (3,4) - i feel like you're missing the main verse on the vocals. Maybe try something like this? http://puu.sh/oOzoA/c4e796bd33.jpg
-why don't map 01:06:456 - ? or here 01:08:898 (2,3) - could've been a circle+1/1 slider instead. I'm guessing you're mapping to vocals, but things like these confuse me.

-Sometimes you have some overlaps that don't look good or don't feel needed at all. Patterns like 00:07:502 (3,4,1) - 00:54:770 (4,6) - 01:06:107 (3,1) - look messy because of it, even if they are visible for a short period of time.
-Some patterns would look better if you try to reuse slider shapes instead of creating new ones, or you could try to make things look equally spaced (visually). For example, if you look at this pattern 01:19:363 (3,4,5) - , you can say that (4) is closer to (3) than (5), even tho they are spaced the same, using this kind of idea http://puu.sh/oOAob/5881432030.jpg may make your map look more 'polished'. Or here 00:40:991 (2,3) - , reusing shapes like http://puu.sh/oOAKR/80969268d6.jpg looks kinda better in my opinion.
-00:06:107 (1,2,3) - I prefer using just one slider shape for this kind of patterns, using different ones tend to like.. 'overreact' the look. Simple stuff at this level tend to be better.
-00:49:363 (3) - Just to keep it at a friendly level, i'd try to move the arrow a bit up so the slider-slide is more visible
