Recently, most ranked beatmaps seem to have quite a high approach rate on their highest difficulty. I'd like to hear some opinions on whether you enjoy this... think it's annoying... and so on. I personally have a couple problems with it, but the opinions and voices of the community are very important. This may also serve as a reference for people who like messing with setting an appropriate Approach Rate. Vote and leave a comment below.

8 when it's 130BPM or less
9 when it's 130-220BPM
10 when it's more than that

(10 shouldn't ever be used or even an option~)
I admit 9 can work well with certain songs/maps if they are fast enough but I just don't like playing it in general

Mostly 7-9. Generally, 8 is the best, but sometimes it can be too slow or too fast depending on the type of map/song it is.
6-7 is for cool kids

Depends on map speed, I like 8 but I prefer 9.

8 for most of the songs (120 < BPM <200)
9 for fast songs (BPM > 200)

Same as NatsumeRin, except -1 for each one (6, 7, or 8. 9 for seriously intense songs.)
Usually nothing lower than 8, although I'm starting to get used to 9. 10 is just too high and usually unplayable.
