Problem Details:

when i try to open up osu after having it for a few months and it won't open and this the first time that this happened

This is really vague. Does it say anything when you try and open it or does it just not open? There are a lot of things that could be happening but maybe you might have deleted some necessary files for osu! to run so maybe now its not opening but there should be an error screen.

or, what i would do is delete osu, then re-download it, he's right, maybe there are necessary files that might have been accidentally deleted
