Problem Details:


Hello . I play osu! by a laptop, and there is a problem: when it is not connected to the charging, ping increased from 0-2 to 15-27. please help me to fix it

Some laptops are slower if they just run via battery and same happens with mine!
But it's not osu!'s fault because the laptop goes in an automatic power safe mode.

Laptops usually goes to Power Saver mode by itself when unplugged. You can set it back to either Balanced or High Performance in the Power Options menu on the Control Panel.

That's not your ping. That's the frametime (or in other words how long it takes for a single frame to draw).

Anyway, this sounds like your laptop is simply using a lower performance/power state when you have the charger unplugged, which is intended as it helps save battery life. You should be able change these settings as mentioned above.

I switched all settings on maximum perfomance but ping still is very high.

are u sure u dont just have really weak internet? Check ur internet when ur running osu vs when ur not.

As what VeilStar had mentioned, it's not the ping that you're talking about. What the OP meant is the frametime in-game. osu! isn't even a ping-dependent game from the start.

if your laptop is using Intel HD Graphics card, go to Intel HD Graphics Control panel and in the power tab > on battery disable the Extended battery life for gaming.
