Streaming Stamina?

Okay so lately I've been trying Time Freeze out, and with HDHRFLDT I haven't even been able to get over 3% and it's really been bugging me, I think it might be because of my shitty streaming stamina.

see

Okay for real.

I've been working my way up ranks since I've gotten to the point where I can FC/High Acc 4-5* songs, but songs with long streams (think https://osu.ppy.sh/s/31904 and the one at the start of https://osu.ppy.sh/s/38235) always cause me to miss, or worse, hit 10 50s in a row after the first few seconds of streaming. plz 2 halp

play more maps with streams
seriously, that's all you have to do
and if you want more advice then not maps with long streams like the ones you posted there, play maps with shorter streams/bursts and work your way up to maps with longer streams

Try to find maps that have a comfortable BPM range for you that include a lot of streams.

For example, if you can comfortably deal with 160 BPM, search for maps at 150 BPM and learn how to alternate your fingers. Even if the map seems slow, try to match the beat.

It's best to learn how to stream from lower BPMs so that you'll run into fewer problems in the future.

As you get better and better at specific BPMs move up in intervals of 5 or 10.

You'll be well on your way to becoming an osu! rhythm champion!

its not all you have to do, you really have to push your arms hard, if your not working hard your not gonna build anything

Well um... Oops. I haven't really been paying a ton of attention to the BPMs of songs I play. Although really it's with just about ANY song that has streams longer than ten notes. I can 95% songs with a ton of 5-or-less stacks and streams without a problem, but as soon as those streams start to drag on I speed up or slow down and start messing up horribly.

That said, do you (guys) know of some good 4-5* maps with streams I can practice on?

(Also Sub 130k rank yesssss. 5 digits soon owo)
Yuudachi-kun
No I don't know any that you can practice on in that range because it's unimportant at that low of a level and anything I can find would be a terrible half-assed map.

Really? Jeeze.

The ones I've been practicing on so far don't seem all that bad, like https://osu.ppy.sh/b/288339 and https://osu.ppy.sh/b/103221&m=0 (which is admittedly 3.7 stars but eh, still can't 99% it), https://osu.ppy.sh/b/482453&m=0 (which doesn't have many of them, but they're enough to bring a 99% down to like, 88%. God I suck at streaming.

Example: I would not by any stretch call the light insane as having streams; the insane I would consider somewhat, and definitely for the extra. And yet the light insane is 4.6* stars.

You make a fair point, I suppose the few maps I found where not being able to effectively stream killed my accuracy were just outliers, then. I'll just have to wait until I can play 5-6 stars (Give or take a month or two probably?? Idk. I can already pass most 5.5 stars IIRC though it's been a while since ive tried)

Edit: lol i cant pass 5.5 stars

Start by focusing on improving your accuracy in general. You want to be able to 300 all 3 circles in every triplet you come across for at least 1 beatmap, don't be afraid to go back down to a 3.5* to do this. Once you've done that move on to quintuplets, then septuplets.

Once you can do those, give these maps a whirl and try to keep your unstable rate as tight as possible:-

https://osu.ppy.sh/b/498711&m=0
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/127315&m=1
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/649545&m=0
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/401208&m=0
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/345600&m=0
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/179507&m=1
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/283992&m=0

Your problem at the moment probably isn't stamina, your accuracy in general needs a lot of improvement.

I can actually already hit most short streams and stacks with mostly 300s (Otherwise there's no way in hell I would've gotten a 91% on https://osu.ppy.sh/b/653128&m=0 . Although you're probably still right about my accuracy. I'll download those maps when my internet isnt sucking.

It's almost double the bpm of the maps that you provided as examples, pls

the point

the isolated point. as can be deduced from the context, pretty much saying something along the lines of the map being a high star rating and still not being strictly a stream map. we can also deduce many semi-related things like the fact that it has bursts etc and I never played it.

Khelly wrote:

1.i am only saying that since khelly's map is almost double the bpm of the maps that you have provided, it will naturally have a higher star rating.
The fact that the streams are short(bursts) won't lower it back to ~3.7 stars.

2. so why "almost double the bpm"

~~ screenshot below~~

~~ screenshot above~~
130 130 128, yes yes.
we average the bpm out and get 129.33.
vs 212
well it's 61% of 212.
decide for yourself if "almost double the bpm" was okay and np for overcomplicating.

Oh, okay. I just didn't understand what you meant by that, sorry.

Edit: Unrelated topic but can someone please tell me what the hell OD stands for.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar.

Also. This explains... So much.

Tell me if i'm not seeing something but the wiki doesn't explain OD.

SPOILER
It states how hard the circles are to hit which means the higher the OD the more accurate you have to be to get a 300
It defines the size of the slider leniency. (the circle around the ball when you hold a slider.)
Higher OD also means a reduction in RPM (spinning speed)
Gives more pp if you are accurate.

The explanations are all under "Song Setup"

another tip is to not get to far ahead i found out that you need to have your pointer a little behind. also make sure when you get into a stream to start it perfectly it makes it easier. i have hit alot of 30 to 40 streams with no misses.

hope it helps :)
