In december or so I came back from a year long break from osu!, the first few days I wasn't very good but after a week or so I was back at my normal skill level. I disliked lower AR on fast songs, and I like fast songs so I decided to learn HR much better. I played tons of HR and relatively fast I started getting better and better accuracy and aim. After HR started getting a little monotone I started playing AR9 DT and very fast songs and my speed improved by quite a bit. After about 1 month of grinding HR / 10.3 DT, I was consecutively getting A's on 7*+ maps, good accuracy and a low UR. My low ar reading was however completely fucked so I decided to start playing low ar songs 4-7*, AR8 OD10 on the easiest ones. After some time my reading got better and my skill peaked the fuck out this entire week. I got A's on 8* maps and could play up to 265bpm casually. I kept the balance of mods to not lose this performance by playing HR/DT and no mod every day. About a little more than a week after this massive improvement (keep in mind I took a break 2 days on this week and I could get back just fine), one day it was just all gone, all of it. I was now worse than in 2014.
1st day I thought to myself "I might just be having a bad day"
2nd day I still know that sometimes you perform worse than usual and don't think too much about it.
But it just wouldn't go away.
We're not talking a casual loss in performance here. Take or give -35% accuracy than earlier on pretty much anything, even after fully warmed up.
After a week like this I decided to take a break for a week, came back and still it's like I hit some kind of wall.
Then I decided to take a long break, 30 days and now I'm here since 3 days ago and still worse than 2014.
I've played this game since 2009 I know I've had my ups and down but what the hell, this case is special.
I know someone will comment about mental blocks, I already try to ignore the whole thing up here ^ but I'm starting to get idk, unmotivated to play
EDIT:
The only thing I can imagine aside from mental block is that I started eating pills against acne around the time my skill dropped, they're rather heavy and have many side effects. I wouldn't think this is the cause lol but it's the only thing I can connect.
