Hello guys, I'm fairly new to osu! I've been playing for just over a month now and I'm having a great time. Awesome game, awesome community and a great deal of frustration while trying to SS seal 2.flv. Lately I noticed that the back of my neck hurts a lot while playing osu. My posture is good and the only thing I noticed is that I tilt my head to the right while playing for some reason. Now, I've been playing games in front of a computer my whole life, I've spent thousands of hours surfing and headshotting people as a kid in Counter strike and I still do to this day. But I've never experienced any discomfort from playing that game for long sessions or any other game for that matter. Just osu! for some reason. You'd think my fingers would hurt but it seems like my neck is suffering. I think I'll order a neck pillow or something from amazon lol. But I was wondering if anyone else experienced this

I said that I have good posture, I sit straight. The head tilt thing kind of happens unconsciously but I don't think it's that

you probably have tension headaches

they occur on the forehead, and back of neck mostly, it's a common type of headache

have you had eye strain? a cold or a flu in the past few weeks? that's usually what causes them

why ask us as if we are specialists? Go see a doctor or something

hmm interesting, Coldtooth. maybe I just get really tense while I'm on a high combo or while playing a map that is a bit hard for me and that causes the pain.

Tie a noose in a rope, tie the other end of the rope to something up high, put your neck in the noose and jump. It hurts at first but I guarantee it will stop your neck pain.
Don't try this at home kids

I feel like this is bad advice like you would die or something if you did this???

Who said you die from that? Nah, you just go to sleep... forever.... it's different, k?

Spend more time away from electronic devices, and stop bending over phones and tablets.
Go outside for a hike or try to pick up a sport that you can enjoy. If it's a teamsport, it may even improve your social skills.
If you would like to taper off your gaming addiction then I'd suggest you to make use of long videos such as movies and watch these from a comfortable position with enough support for your head. This will make you feel bored upon seeing your devices to begin with, and will inspire you even further to engage in physical activities!
Here's one to get you started:

What made you assume that he was asking us like we're specialists? tf mate

On topic, you must be having a neck strain if you tilt your head for a prolonged period of time. Go ahead and buy a neck pillow if that would help you.
