the green and blue combo colours feel totally out of place lol. maybe try to use less vibrant colours that work better with the bg

00:00:833 (2) - 00:04:166 (3) - 00:07:499 (5) - etc. do these sounds really need to be mapped? i dont think the diff benefits from the overmapping, sections like 00:10:999 - contain none of this concept and instead just following what the music offers
01:06:333 (1) - dont think you need the slider to come in this early, just having a triple from 01:06:666 - would feel a lot more impactful
01:12:333 (1) - 01:22:999 (1) - reckon u could differentiate these from 01:06:999 (3) - 01:17:666 (1) - etc. since in this instance there are two sounds instead of one
01:14:666 (1) - 01:25:333 (1) - these are also different to 01:09:333 (1) - 01:19:999 (1) - since you have the additional sound on the blue tick

i think you could do a better job at representing unique sounds with a different rhythm. some parts in this diff gave the impression that you were creating your own rhythms, while ignoring the changes in the music

talked a bit irc, but the spread really doesn't seem suitable to me. easy consists of 1/1 beat gaps while the normal consistently uses 1/2s and occasionally 1/4s 00:04:999 (4,5,1) - 00:12:999 (4,5,1) . imo you should try introduce more 1/2 into the easy, as only mapping the 1/1s makes for a pretty boring rhythm that barely follows the music

Just want to point than 00:00:833 (2) - 00:04:166 (3) - 00:07:499 (5) - is not overmapping. Sound exists at these spots, could just be done a bit more constantly if that is what you mean.

Also spread was okay imo, even if a bit late since map is updated now. That's fine.

the overmapping isn't specifically referring to mapping sounds that don't exist. yes there are sounds on those ticks, but there are also sounds on most of the 1/4s, yet mapping all of them would be silly. this is where filtering comes in and only relevant sounds are mapped

which is why i don't really agree at how 00:00:333 (1,2,3) - and 00:02:333 (5,6,1) - are mapped in exactly the same manner, but 00:02:833 (6) - has the much more audible piano. lyric, your response doesn't address much but instead dodges the point

the fix you did for easy seems really sloppy, a lot of the map is still a monotonous 1/1 train. much more could be done in terms of rhythm that would work better with the piano and provide something more interesting to play. taking the start for example http://puu.sh/vUYe6/df3183ccae.jpg this works to represent the piano as well as show the difference between the melodies at 00:00:333 - and 00:02:999

i just feel a lot more could be done here. the song is repetitive enough already, so why make the map even more repetitive?

I feel Easy was complex enough to be honest, non-kiai part has 1/1 and a few 1/2s while the kiai(second half) has very consistent 1/2s. It is easy anyways so I dont see anything wrong with 1/1 for the first half.

Anyways. The song has many drums on 1/4(1/2 cuz double bpm), so there will be a gap as long as i map easy. If i buff easy as what you said then it will become an easy Normal diff. So i decide to remove easy since Normal is only 1.8*.

I will let lyric take a look at your comment but honestly i see no problem of the top diff at all. Its mapped very consistently.

To give some feedback to the highest difficulty, it's intended to be simple and it works out, however I would have wished for more contrast in intensity of the mapping to reflect the intensity of the song better. In sections like 00:22:666 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - or 01:04:333 (3,4,5) - where the beat is mostly gone and the instruments are very calm, it would have worked better to reduce the slider velocity and / or distance spacing to show this change.

Not really a reason for a disqualification in my opinion, as the map does work out as it is on this difficulty level, it's more meant as an advice for the future, to make simple maps like this one more interesting.

Oh thanks for the advise!!

The reason we decided not to change sv for this map was that the song is really a calm one. I think many players will play it for enjoying music rather than playing the "map" itself. That's why we make it simple and ignored many minor stuff.

Probably next time for a harder map let's work more on sv or distance spacing :)
