I was just a 20k ranked newbie, then one day while lazing around in a multiplayer room, some random guy was hosting a room that only played anime openings that give pp. We played for a good 2/3 hours together, just him showing me his collection of pp maps. We played like 10 variations of Tatoe song which I still regret to this day. However that day changed my life. Although it was just a silly thought, I always had it at the back of my mind. "Hey, maybe I can make a pp map, get it to ranked, and I play it, and it'll give me pp." After a couple of weeks, I finally decided to put my thought into action. I went into the editor not knowing jack about anything other than what bpm was and started mapping my very first pp map. https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/345393#osu/762756 I finished it and forced others to play my map in multiplayer. After a while had past, the same random guy who showed me pp maps came and played it as well, and said it was shit. I couldn't remember how sad I felt that day, probably because I wasn't lol. Anyway, after some time passed by, we shared our pp maps, compared which pp map was better, we started mapping for ranked. Although every single map we made were trash, I would always tell him "fun map" because that's the only comment that doesn't feel like I'm trash talking him. He probably said the same thing to my maps lol. Anyway, I can't remember this guy's name, all I know is he changed his name to Nao Tomori one day, and to meme him, I changed mine to Not Tomori. I guess he's my inspiration to mapping? lol not that anyone gives two shts
