I'll be frank OP.
I am not by all means a pro player, so this is entirely subjective.
I have also once hit that 'wall'. I know how angry you become when you cannot even pass maps that are considered 'easy' by the community.
Sure, playing more is and will always be the answer! But if you become discouraging, you will be unable to continue with a clear mind. And without a clear mind, you cannot focus therefore you aren't playing at your best. You must think positively. I've seen people who has only played one month that have gotten scores that took me almost 3 months to get.
Don't be influenced by others and buy a *insert shitty gaming item*. Play your own style and your own way and stop comparing yourself to others.
That's how cookiezi managed to become such a great player perhaps even the world's best. Playing maps at your own skill is a great advice, but a excellent advice is to always surpass your limits. I myself played insane maps everyday whether I couldn't even pass first 30 seconds or not, though it's a horrible way for many, it was able to make me grow fast and surpass the limits that I thought I would never be able to break.
Don't take other's path, pave your own path. MP is a excellent way to improve your skills fast, as it allows you to compete against others and the human nature always wants to win, and that craving for victory will gradually increase and your skills will increase.
Though there are many that are making fun of you(I'm looking at you Taiga), everyone started out this way. Rafis,WWW,hvick and even the famous cookiezi. So don't be discouraged.
I want YOU to listen to this and I want YOU to improve and BECOME a better player.
