Fairly easy question to open a discussion. How to tolerate difficulty, or annoyance without getting angry or upset?

Impatience is arising in your own mind as a response to not getting what you want right away. We tend to expect things to content our expectations. This is something you can't get rid of at any cost. Our only way is to expect less from ourselves and from others. But how, and wont we lose confidence in the process of lowering our standards?

How to transform impatience to patience?
Many would say its just practice and practice... What are your strategies to transform impatience into patience? more specifically
There is a thing called mindfulness practise. This is basically the effort to pay attention to everything that’s going on in your field of awareness. When I feel impatience arise, I can almost always find something in my present moment experience that arouses my curiosity or interest. Being aware of this makes me not to respond in anger but instead, with patience.

I would like to hear how you deal with impatience while doing various exercises that requires creativity. Im very curious about how you stay calm and dont get upset in mapping if the result doesn't meet your expectations.

Personally, I've become patient due to a lifetime's worth of having to wait for other people, and not being able to act on my own initiative and resolve situations.

The main thought I keep in my mind, in regards to patience, is that if I complain about my own annoyance, all I'm doing is making others around me feel worse. In return, this will make me feel even worse. There's no benefit to reacting angrily and upset for me at all, so the only way to make the best of the situation is to keep my mouth shut, and I'll feel the least bad.

I don't do any creative exercises, so I can't comment on that, though, sorry.

Not really. Impatience is a non-existent problem to me but nervousness is the one that replaced it.

Isnt nervousness a result of impatience?

Try to look at yourself objectively from outsider's point of view when you are about to lose your patience and then realize how silly it would look like.
I also just recently tried meditation: was really sceptical at first, but it actually works wonders - makes it a lot easier to stay calm and focused through the day.

No. Nervousness is a form of lack of confidence but not exactly it. It's an uncontrollable anxiety that arises under certain conditions depending on how your brain works and what it already experienced.

Ok, for some reason i thought you meant ''anger'' under nervousness. Guess i have to improve my english as well as doing some research.

Also, can anyone confirm if meditation works? I heard its just a placebo effect.

The way I see it (based solely on my own opinion) is: during meditation you practice to focus and not let your mind wander around all these random thoughts that come to your head. The same principle can be applied everywhere, in everything you do - once you get good at controling your thoughts and focus, you can easily break your patterns and deal with things like impatience, anger, etc.

I started doing it only few days ago, but I can feel the difference.
Even in osu - I don't get salty or mad anymore when things go wrong.

I'll give it a shot. How exactly do you meditate? Because if it worked for you i'd like to try the same.

I just watched this video, and that's it:

There probably are much shorter ones, but this one explains benefits and common misconceptions of it.
