I dont feel like this is too hard for a diff like this

i was kind of questioning this myself too, as for an explanation of this 00:00:712 (1,1) - is following the high pitch sound, and since it changes
here 00:01:402 (1) - to a much crazier sound, the SV is increased, however im not sure if the last slider 00:01:574 (2) - is justifiable with just being less intense than the previous one and therefore can be as short as it is, at the same time as it "completes" this pattern 00:00:712 (1,1,2) - . therefore i won't change it right now, but if i have to, I'll change it to the same slider as the previous one.


00:24:333 (1,1,1) - These SV changes, unlike before, are unjustified, since the second slider is as strong as the other two. You should make it equal sv

00:47:264 - to 00:55:540 - sv here seems pretty random, sometimes you use fast sv on claps like 00:47:609 (1) -, sometimes slow like 00:48:299 (1) -. This is a pretty big inconsistency and you should fix it, either making clap sliders fast (recommended) or slow. You can't switch between them without justification
I wouldn't say they are random, as there is a pattern to them. first fast - second slow, this is to compensate for the overpowering sounds of 00:48:643 (1,1,1) - to make them stand out more. ofc this could be done in other ways, but I found this one fitting

01:20:368 - to 01:31:402 - Spacing between jumpstreams is very inconsistent. We can divide this in two smaller sections with two jumpstreams each. In the first one, the spacing you use is basically 1.1x > 0.4x > 0.8x > stack and 1.1x > 0.8x > longer stack, while in the second section it changes to 1.1x > stack > 0.8x > 0.4x and 1.1x > 0.4 > longer stack. Since these two mini-sections are literally the same, spacing shouldn't change so drastically. Variety can't be a justification, since it only applies for minor variations, not major ones like this. (i'm considering things like these 01:26:230 (1,2,3,4) - stacks for semplicity)
When considering jumpstreams, spacing isnt the only factor to what makes it difficult. if im gonna use the same logic we have: 2 sections with 2 jumpstreams-parts, A-1, A-2, B-1 and B-2 where A-1 = B-1 and so on. the difference between a-1 and b-1 is as u said; 1.1x > 0.4x > 0.8x > stack || 1.1x > stack > 0.8x > 0.4x. so the stack and the 0.4x changes. however all of these play at about the same difficulty(i could explain for every case, but to make it short lets use one). on A-2 you have this jump 01:23:385 (4,1) - where the player needs to "jump back" and then continue movement in the same direction as the previous stream. the spacing here is lower than on B-2 01:28:902 (4,1) - because this kind of movement is usually simpler, therefore the jump to the next stream is larger but spacing of it is lower, making it justifiable "variations" so to speak. hopefully i explained well enough..
01:31:402 - to kiai end: same concept as before but with more spacing

  1. 00:02:609 (2) - i think i'd probably NC this for intuitiveness, with the red tick & different sound / rhythm break. you did this on 00:24:505 (1) - for a similar situation.
  2. 01:32:781 (3,4,5,1) - i'd really recommend making things less overlappy here, it's the lowest diff in the mapset
  3. 01:38:298 (3,4,5,1) - same as above, something like this would work better imo
  4. 01:47:954 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - i'm not sure if i get the idea of this section, but 01:43:126 (1,2,3) - is a triangle and 01:45:195 (1,2,3,4) - is a square. maybe position 01:50:712 (1) - in a way that makes the third combo a pentagon?

    Anyway, I'm leaving the stream part as I want to keep the 8 beat pattern to provide interest. I don't really see the change as an issue.

(also to not overwrite previous mods and since sebu wants this ranked like now)

And you get quite a bit of leeway to actually hit the next note, since it's a slider.
  9. 01:43:126 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,1) - add some HS and add more volume, because they don't bring much feedback atm - Not sure what other HS I could put here, but I'll increase the volume a bit.

    not sure quite what you mean here. I find this very pleasing to look at. only thing i could see working is stacking the two first notes on (3).

I feel the kick weighs way more than the definition of a starting beat, and in this case, I see zero issue not mapping a click to the sliderend. This pattern also flows really nicely into the next one imo.

Ignoring these strong sounds for background one is confusing and sounds a bit off, and make your diff more flat since you're using too often these kind of structure.
  2. Second, on kiai I don't see the point of doing jump streams on 1st half if you just don't on the 2nd half. I would rather do all of them without and just play with spacing like you did from 01:31:402 - . There's no major differences to make a such change.

While it is the easiest difficulty, it's also not exactly mapped for a complete beginner.

The map also features polarity changes (albeit not a lot) later on, so introducing it early seems like a good idea to me. As for the stronger beat at the sliderend, it might just be my opinion on it, but combinations of hitsounds and length of sliders can still make a sliderend (and then the release of a note) feel more important than the head. Maybe it's a bit more old school interpretation as it definitely was more common to do it back in the days compared to now, but yeah, I personally never had a problem with it.

Even so I think I'm gonna change to your suggestion just cause it plays a lot better and doesnt catch the player off guard as much as the inital pattern does.

    00:05:195 (1,2,1,2) - If I believe what you answered to Natsu, then why spacing is different from stuff like 00:10:712 (1,2,3,4) - who share exactly the same rhythm and music ? They should yes.
    If you take into account how you actually play those patterns, they don't play much differently at all. very minor movement with a jump to the last note.
  2. 00:32:264 (1,2,3,4) - Natsu means the curve could be a bit better, the angle you did with 00:32:436 (3,4) - is a bit broken and could be more smooth.

  3. 01:31:057 (1,2,3) - Imo that's a bit overkill for a 1/4. The back and forth create a non intuitive pattern to follow unlike stuff like 01:42:092 (1,2,3) - .
    I feel like a back and forth movement really fits the music here, but I changed up the pattern a bit so that the spacing isn't as crazy. generally the first 2 notes in a 1/4 jump like this is much easier to hit than the 3rd, so I feel like this should be a decent compromise

It plays well and should be fine.

The sound(or similar sounds) is often on yellow ticks(1/8ths) and switches between this, blues, reds and whites. so instead of just focusing on mapping each clickable object to it, it's more in the movement of sliders that represents the rhythm. example: 00:51:186 - 00:48:428 - . as you can see both of these have basically non-existent movement, while the one u pointed out 00:52:178 - has a lot higher pitch, hence the increased sv.

I mapped the section in a consistent way to make it easier to play while still trying to represent the variety in the song appropriately
