16:12 Dubu: repeating the same rhythm isnt frowned upon, maybe by some mappers it is but in general it's proper consistency
16:12 Dubu: however copy-pasting the same part without adjusting the patterns/spacing is kind of sad

16:13 Dubu: but if you're trying to rank, you should put effort and careful thoughts on how you'll organize each part of the map
16:14 Dubu: keep in mind 3 things
16:15 Dubu: first thing is Emphasis, stronger beats deserve a powerful slider or a bigger jump, don't end sliders on those strong beats, imagine the player tapping to rhythm, we only tap circles and slider starts, we never tap the end of slider, so you shouldnt end a slider on a strong beat that rhytmitically we should tap
16:16 Dubu: second thing is Flow, try imagine where your cursor is being taken with the current pattern, and find the most comfortable angle for the next note, try value the momentum the player builds up with his/her cursor, don't make them covert horizontal momentum into vertical, like 90 degree square jumps are evil and uncomfortable to play
16:17 Dubu: and third thing (least important one, but required for a good map) is Structure, make sure the note you're placing has some sort of aesthetic value, wether its forming a new pattern or joining an old pattern, as long as it has a REASON for it's x and y, it's reasonably structured
16:18 Dubu: so every note you place should go trough those 3 stages
16:19 ViolentBoo: Jeaus, I thought just throwing notes on a map with a path to follow and thats all you needed. ALright, I'll keep all of that in mind when mapping and fixing this.
