  1. 00:35:120 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Try doing something with this stream, like a more noticeable reduction in spacing or something? Because the guitar is lost here, it's just drums so it will feel weaker in the music.
  2. 00:39:020 (4,1) - I would put a jump here instead because for me, it's better to emphasize the high pitched guitar sound on 1 than emphasize the held note on 4. You can hear it end on00:39:170 - too. Extended sliders don't really give emphasis onto the note the end on.
  3. 00:42:920 (1) - Flip it the other way? Having it curved downwards rather than upwards would fit the visual flow you have here a bit better.
  4. 00:48:170 (3) - Here too, the kink here doesn't really add anything. Rather imo, it detracts from an otherwise smooth flow, and you aren't using the kink for any obvious design element so it just seems really unnecessary for me.
  5. 00:48:620 (1,2,3,4,5) - These sliders are noticeably off center. I think you wanted the red point to be in the middle
  6. 00:56:570 (3,4) - Ctrl+G this rhythm? It would follow the vocals a bit better. The instruments support both interpretations so when this happens you should consider following vocals because the vocals work better with this rhythm cuz it draws emphasis onto 00:56:570 -. Like 00:57:770 (2,3) -
  7. 01:00:620 (4,1) - Yea i really gotta comment on your visual flow. This just doesn't flow well. I don't think it's that strong of a note that deserves both a jump + flowbreak. The flowbreak is also quite awkward because the flow changes from 4>1 and again as you play 1 (even though you could technically play it just like a linear slider).
  8. 01:06:470 (4,5) - Ctrl+G Rhythm
  9. 01:16:370 (9,1) - No jump here for emphasis?
  10. 01:20:420 (4,5) - Ctrl+G'ing here plays remarkable well.
  11. 01:47:420 (8,1) - You could make this spacing a bit larger. What you did with 01:43:820 (5,1) - was good imo. It's still very easy to land but its still a noticeable jump.

  13. 02:02:120 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - Nice triangles, but theyre quite small. Imo you could increase their spacing more.
  14. 02:23:045 (8,1) - I don't really like this arrangement. You should use the same spacing. Usually players will be anticipating a stream jump/flowbreak on white ticks anyways. but they don't really anticipate anti-jumps. 02:36:920 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,1) - Do something like this and you're good to go, that streams really nice.

  20. 05:00:920 (1,1,2,1,2,3) - This is really severely undermapped considering the instruments haven't subsided yet.
  21. 05:10:220 (2,3) - I would just use circles. really long sliders followed by kicksliders just play really poorly imo. And the tail overlap with 1 and 2 doesn't look nice imo.
  22. 05:15:020 (4) - This position just looks really cramped. I would seirously ditch the 3/4 slider here in favor of a less constricting pattern.
  23. 05:27:320 (1,2,3) - You could space these out even more imo. You'd be surprised how many people will misread these as 1/2 jumps xD.
  24. 05:33:320 (1) - Honestly though, I would ditch these really long sliders and map denser rhythm in general. You ignore so many drum beats when you do this :P
  25. 06:02:120 (1) - Redo this slider pls xd it's from 2011.
  26. 06:25:986 (6) - Snap the end to blue tick?
  27. 06:25:820 (5) - And yea you could space this out more. Compare it to 06:26:653 (1,2) -
  28. 06:40:320 (2,3,4,5) - These are 1/8. I hear 5 drum hits very clearly.
  29. 06:41:320 (1,2,3,4) - Same here.
Generally, I didn't really like how you used those 3/4 extended sliders. Those types of sliders are great for emphasizing a held note that they land on. The trade off however, is that they put little to no pressure onto the next note after them. This ends up being quite a problem in many parts of your Kiai because you end up drawing emphasis onto the note before downbeats. The most noticeable example I mentioned was 01:57:020 (8,1) - where yea, 1 really deserves attention not 8.

Secondly, your first like 3-4 minutes did feature a lot of flowbreaky patterns that didn't really feel necessary. If you've heard of the concept of visual flow, it's basically how a pattern will "appear" to play out. It doesn't take into account the actual playability of a pattern but just how you would perceive it. Stuff like 01:00:620 (4,1) - just doesn't flow well. There are (generally speaking) two popular ways to do a "flowbreak" slider patterns.

The first is where you have a flowbreak that occurs after going from one object to another. The flow changes as the player plays out the slider. Some people wouldn't even consider this a flowbreak, but imo it is.

The second is where you have a flowbreak that occurs during the transition from one object to another. This is less common because it's often modded as "bad flow" and you do need some experience in order to judge whether these work or not. If it's done well, people will barely notice it too.

01:00:620 (4,1) - Reason why this is really not good is because you break flow during the transition from 4>1, but visually, the flow is also broken from playing out the slider. You could say that technically the slider can be played by a single linear motion, taking advantage of slider-leniency, but the visual flow will still make it feel more difficult, a bit awkward, and design-wise, quite harsh.


Anyways, hope some of this helps, personally, I would stay away from 3/4 sliders unless theres a good reason to use them that won't detract from the note they follow. In my Babymetal map, I think i don't even use a single extended slider xD. Anyways, good luck!

Maybe considering increasing the triangle size for each consecutive one while keeping all the jumps at acute angles? They don't even have to be triangles. I just feel this part should be more epic and these triangles you have now don't do it justice.
  8. 01:53:720 (1,2,3) - Maybe try a pattern like this. Or replace the 2 with a 1/4 slider.

You had some pretty cool stream patterns during the solo even if they may not be timed correctly; that guitar was a bit wonky or maybe I'm just going crazy now. The map has potential, I'm sure more can be done aesthetically and pattern-wise; I just noted the things that irked me the most. Good luck with the map!

Most of this will be personal opinions so you're free to ignore them. Actual issues I believe need changing Ill go into more detail about.

00:07:820 (2) - Circles would be better, 00:10:220 (2,3) - Matches up well with these. Plus they're clearly individual notes so yeah.
00:18:320 (3) - Same here. Just go through and check the intro if you want to apply some. No need for me to point out every single one.

00:23:720 (1) - Might be kewl if you rotate this 90 so it points back up to the 5. You'd need to adjust the next 2 circles but its no issue.

00:31:820 (1) - The way you move up from the 4 doesnt lead into the slider very well. A simple Ctrl+J and slight adjustment is an easy fix but theres some other stuff you can do if you feel the need.

00:38:120 (1) - You've got a nice blanket shape here thats going to waste, try moving things around to slot 00:38:720 (3) - In there nicely.

00:43:370 (2) - I think this really needs to be 2 circle, it feels weird to play for me. Might be due to you having the previous slider end on a clear note.

00:48:920 (2,3,4,5) - All sliders here is kinda, inconsistent I should say? Have it be some mild jump patterns like you did the combo before here: 00:46:520 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) -

05:12:920 (1) - I know you're following the guitar here. But consider mapping the drum fill instead.

05:30:920 (1) - This is very risky. Im not sure if you can get away with this with OD8.5 But if a player is slightly off-time on this stream they may get note locked due to the stack. You have to ask a BN specifically about this.

05:34:220 (1) - 99% sure these are just 2 standard notes. No need for them to be sliders. Change to 2 circles. 05:37:820 (1) - Same here. Feel free to have them as large jumps though. I think thats very justifiable with how strong they are. 05:44:870 (1,2,3) - Again here.
HOWEVER 05:45:320 (1,2,1,2) - These notes you can actually do that on if you wish to.

05:51:920 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - Smooth this out.

06:03:920 (3,1) - These arent stacked perfectly.

so something like this
00:49:820 (5) - same thing as above. Although, with this one it would kinda mess up what comes after it.
01:11:420 (4,5,1) - ehh, patterns like these can be misleading in a way because it looks different from the actual rhythm. There are similar patterns throughout the map. So something like this

you'd have to change the slider path though.
02:27:320 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - ehh, i feel like this should be 1/3 snapped. Currently it feels odd because it seems like you are following the drums but the triples don't feel quite right. the 1/3 snapped section would end here: 02:28:520
02:30:620 (4,5,1) - here is another example that is similar to above
02:52:220 (7) - feels a little too far away when compared to the other patterns in the previous parts of this slow section. so you could move it to X: 298 Y: 31 .Here is a before and after for an easier comparison.
03:24:770 (5) - ehh, have you considered having the slider going in the opposite direction. All the sliders in this combo lead or take you in the direction of the next slider/circle of the combo. So if you were to reverse the direction of (5) so that it leads you to (1) of the next combo, i think that it would play better.

soft-sliderslide.wav is unused. Please double check if you wanted to use it or not. If not, remove it.
normal-slidertick.wav has a rather long delay before the actual sound begins. Do you think you can find a better .wav file, or trim off the beginning of the .wav file to avoid the delay?

03:48:920 (5,6) - Blankets
04:03:320 (1,2,3,4) - Try an arrangement like this: larger spacing onto 1 for emphasis, and you get a movement that closely mirrors your next pattern
04:22:370 (5,7,8) - Can you try and avoid this kind of overlap?
04:27:770 (2,3) - 2>3 should have a larger jump to emphasize the snare, while 3>4 shouldn't be as large in terms of spacing. Can you maybe rework this pattern to account for those notes?
04:40:520 (1,2) - Try and avoid these kinds of placements because they just look kinda bad imo. try and position the circle to come after the slider like what you do with 04:41:120 (4,5) - . and 04:42:470 (4,5) -
05:04:520 - This section with all these long sliders just feels really undermapped to me xP. Can you make the rhythm more diverse? You are missing a lot of instruments in the background by exclusively following the guitar.
05:09:320 (1) - Ctrl+G this at least xP. So the flow follows the previous slider's direction.
05:44:120 (1,1,2) - These rhythms feel really weird to me... the guitar is held, yet you put in a break. I think using sliders is more appropriate.

Okay. I rechecked this map and it looks good to me. I will bubble it for now, though there is one pattern I'd like future BN's to check just to make sure.

05:44:120 (1,1,2,1) - I'm still concerned about this pattern though. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me still. The mapper's reasoning is to map a 1/1 pause to the held guitar sound, but imo, using sliders is more appropriate for a sound that's clearly held for over 1/2 a beat. Would be nice if the next BN could comment on this whether they agree or disagree.

I don't think this pattern is serious enough to impact mapping/rhythm quality or anything, so I'm proceeding with the bubble. It might just be me anyways, but a second opinion would be nice.

  3. 03:04:895 (2,3) - If I remember correctly, you are overlapping every 1/4 pattern, especially when there's a circle between sliders. Then why? Same goes for 05:15:845 (2,3) - of course.
  4. 03:33:320 (1) - Clap on tail sounds very weird here. Actually, clap on tails should be avoided, they have a different usage, and that's whenever you are using them for rhythm :( For example, following your hitsounding, 03:38:420 - 's tail should have a clap.
  5. 04:48:020 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Would love to see this more separated, more polished, you know. Having everything so close seems... odd. What about http://puu.sh/oMY4Z/bd4167f5f6.jpg instead?

That reverse arrow is nowhere hidden. It is behind a slider head which doesn't create a hitbursts so it's fine.
Also I understand CircleChu wants to be lenient with HP on such an intense marathon.

P.S: I am qulte sure it`s not a problem, i do not want people hate my map because of 2 - 3 misses that have failed they passthrough. Most of DF maps used 3-5 HP, some of them 6, so why i can`t use 4 for now? Also i don`t think that we would have "free passes" cuz if someone can`t play these streams, he wound`t pass it even with HP0. That`s my point.

I kinda disagree with the overall spacing used in this map. The streams are kinda of intense spacing-wise (at least near the end) but the jumps are so lame that I'd fall asleep after the second time of playing this map. Especially in the kiai it's really boring, but that's just my opinion. Doesn't feel right compared to the streams, that's it.

Also, you should really consider a higher drain than just 4. This map just has one little streamy part that doesn't even have really long streams so HP4 isn't near acceptable at all, if you ask me. If there were good deathstreams or a streampart of the length of 1:30 or smth I'd completely agree, but that's not the case.

You probably forgot that rank means nothing when judging maps. Yea being able to play the map helps the judging process but it's not mandatory to be able to judge a map. Also Stjpa wasn't trying to "discourage" CircleChu any way, he was just stating his opinion about the map.

So yea, I also kinda agree with Stjpa that some jumps should get buffed and HP should also get buffed. But I've discussed the HP thing with CircleChu already many times so lol.
