Hey, modding the hard diff

00:19:095 (6) - Move this slider out from underneath the first one
00:19:545 (7) - Move this with the slider
00:25:695 (4) - Feels out of place
01:04:695 (6) - Here you have a nice beat going for the red combo, why stop at 6, you could probably add another small slider in there to fill it out.

Thats it for notes that stood out, but a tip for the whole beatmap, most songs have a set beat, this one's a little unclear, with all the diferent sounds going on at the same time, thats fine and all, but for some places like this whole combo 00:10:395 (1) , it's a little difficult to anticipate what part of the song you're going to follow, so make sure that all of your notes are somewhat distance snapped so that the player doesn't suddenly get to a section where the flow changes and flops.

Fixed everything that was mentioned above.
I will update the beatmap once I finish modifying it.

Delete osb file in the derectory.
If you want to add a background you need to click this button and choose a background.
So, your background has 1024x576 resolution, find another with 1024x768 or 1366x768.

[Beginner]
Uhm, what does the wiki say.
You must use distance snap tool and use consistent spacing.
Also, 00:15:795 (2,4) - overlaps, avoid.

[Easy]
00:02:595 (3) - big white tick at the end of slider, it's better ti stars objects with big white ticks.
00:07:695 (4,1,2) - inconsistent spacing.
00:08:595 (2,3) - ugly overlap.
00:12:195 (5) - blue ticks in lower diffs are not welcomed.
00:19:920 (1) - also, this one you can keep.
00:19:920 (1,2,3,4,1) - make 1x spacing.
01:13:095 (2,3,1) - this overlapped pattern looks really bad.
01:19:845 (1,2,3,4) - same here.
Okay, I think you understand.

[Normal]
00:12:720 (2) - move at big white tick.
00:55:395 (6) - remove reverse and place circle at big white tick. Place NC with this circle.
01:10:695 (1,2,3,4) - inconsistent pattern.
Try to avoid overlaps.

[Hard]
A lot of 1/2 patterns, try to make an easier rhythm by skipping some ticks or beats.
Just 200 bpm 1/2 singletap is insane for Hard diff.
00:40:095 (4,5) - avoid overlaps like this one.
00:40:995 (7,8,9) - ^^^.
Search others by yourself.

good luck~

You must use distance snap tool and use consistent spacing. I usually keep DS on most of the time when I map but there is some how spacing errors but I'll fix it anyways

Forgot to post my mod reply so I'll just go over some of them. (No response means I agreed with you and modified the map)

Hey there!
mod from my queue-

old
General
  1. try to find a background with recommended resolution? 1366x768 px or 1024x768px
If it's difficult to find one for XY you could go with a more general Pokémon theme, I think. example
  2. how about choosing combo colours? The standard colours look pretty boring. :c
  3. something's messed up with widescreen support in Easy, it seems? You need to enable it, otherwise the video gets cut off on the sides. >:
(Or you delete the Storyboard? It doesn't seem to do anything, anyway. (because SB + disabled widecsreen support = borders on the sides))
    -
  4. //all diffs - it would be nice if you could do some clean-up work on your map. I'm especially talking about some overlaps and aesthetic stuff that make the diffs unnecessarily hard to read.
In Beginner diff for example - 00:10:395 (1,2) - these two objects overlap slightly, which is hard to read for beginner players, so you should avoid that. When there are several objects in a row it becomes even harder (00:20:295 (7,8,9,10) - ). Because there are several parts with overlapping objects I suggest to increase Distance Spacing to 1.2. You'd have to re-arrange the diff, but it improves readability greatly
The same goes for Easy; 00:05:595 (1,2,3) - it's really small overlaps, but it's noticeable. Try 1.1 DS in Easy if you want to avoid them.
In all diffs there are also just randomly overlapping objects like 00:02:145 (4,5,6) - in Hard; this should be avoided, too, because the objects look so cluttered together and it's a strain on the eyes if they need to focus on differentiating between objects the whole time.
What helps a lot if you want to avoid overlaps is disabling Grid Snap! The objects won't be aligned with the grid shown in the background that way and this makes spacing objects correctly sooo much easier. screenshot
I'd like to ask you to fix this first before I continue my mod, because you already get rid of a lot of small things that should be changed.

Just send me a message ingame or in forum when you're done with that or don't want to change anything and I'll write a proper mod!

okay, continuing the mod~~ :3

General
  1. did you increase the volume for the mp3 file or something? Because I have to reduce volume to ~20%, otherwise my ears start hurting. >-<
Also, because of this the hitsounds become scarcely audible, please consider exchanging the mp3 file for a quieter one. :c
maybe ask the mapper of the ranked version for mp3?
  2. 00:58:395 - Kiai is supposed to start here, no? That's where the most intense part starts (before it's just vocals)
Beginner
  1. NCs -- your NC pattern is very incosistent, try to keep all of them somewhat similar. You could just NC every second downbeat to keep consistency
  2. 00:03:195 (1,1,2) - what's up with the DS change from 1.2 to .8? Lower diffs have to use consistent spacing, it shouldn't be broken or changed anywhere in the diff! please check your diff for any DS issues
(I also noticed another change to 1.0 DS, why?)
  3. 00:08:595 (3) - imo this should end one tick later, because it feels off to not cover the vocals at all. (a single circle might be too much, imo, so extending the slider is better)
  4. 00:10:995 (2,3,4) - 2/3 gaps mapped with circles don't belong in a Beginner diff, imo. try to emphasize this differently, without putting a circle on the 1/2 beat. example: http://puu.sh/nCEto.jpg
similar rhythm here 01:13:395 (2,3,4) - and you also ignored the following beat on 01:16:545 - which you mappedbefore with 3, try http://puu.sh/nCEYQ.jpg
  5. 00:17:445 (3,4,5,6) - similar here, especially the blue tick. That's an absolute no in Beginner diffs (except for some long reverse sliders)
    try this rhythm instead: http://puu.sh/nCELo.jpg
  6. 00:20:295 (2,3,4,5) - you should try to pay more attention to downbeats (the long white ticks). They usually are the strongest beats in a song and should be emphasized somehow; at best with something clickable
other example 00:39:195 - this is not mapped at all even tho it's the strongest beat :c
  7. 00:47:595 (9,10) - eeep, overlap. D: xD
-- hmh, I feel like this diff is lacking structure. At some parts you're following vocals, at others the beats, and sometimes nothing at all. Imo you should reconsider how you want to map this. s: Beginner diff doesn't mean you have to use many long sliders and place circles when there are some strong drums in the song.
(That's also why I just pointed out general stuff like DS and didn't make any detailed suggetions.)
Easy
  1. check your DS in this diff, too. It needs to be 100% consistent!
  2. also the same about downbeats, there are several which should be clickable, some examples: 00:12:795 - 00:15:195 - 00:47:595 - 00:53:595 - 01:15:195 -
  3. and the same about NCs, they're very inconsistent here too :c
  4. 00:00:795 (1,2,3,4,5) - same rhythmn repeats, but you mapped them totally different. consider changinf like this: http://puu.sh/nCFjc.jpg
  5. 00:29:295 (5,1) - imo too much for this diff. If you used the rhythm more often and players could get used to it it'd be okay, but only using it once somewhere in the middle is just confusing and should be avoided in Easy diffs
I think there's one other similar pattern, but that seems just random again. s:
  6. 00:40:095 (2,3,4) - avoid visible overlaps like this
    this one too 00:46:095 (3,4) - and 01:13:995 (3,1) -
  7. 01:24:870 (1) - should start on the downbeat, no?
Normal
  1. same stuff as in the other diffs about DS, and NCs and downbeats
  2. decrease AR and OD by .5 ~ 1, because of the constant 1/2 rhythms the diff is pretty hard rhythm-wise already.
  3. 00:02:145 (3) - reverse feels off because there's no sound that's following the second part of the slider. consider removing the reverse
  4. 00:16:695 (5,1) - don't stack anything below slidertails in Normals or lower diffs! It's hard to read and shouldn't be used in these diffs.
also you might want to change up the rhythm here, cause the break between (1,2) feels a little off. example: http://puu.sh/nCFW6.jpg
similar for 00:18:645 (3,4) - try http://puu.sh/nCFYc.jpg . more than one reverse on such short sliders is hard to read as well, so try avoid that.
  5. 00:28:695 (4,5,1) - unstack them, unreadable for players on this skill level.
  6. 00:35:895 (3,4,5) - mentioned this already, but this is too hard too. you could use some 1/2 sliders instead
  7. 00:43:695 (3,4,5,1,2) - try to work on these overlaps, it's pretty hard to differentiate between objects
(there are several other ovelaps you should fix, but this is the part with the most of them)
  8. 01:24:945 (1) - same as in Easy
good luck with this!

(I also noticed another change to 1.0 DS, why?) I think I accidentally left the DS Spacing the same from other diffs but never changed it back. (I open normal diff let's just say its 1.0 then I move to Beginner and it stayed at 1.0. )
  3. 00:08:595 (3) - imo this should end one tick later, because it feels off to not cover the vocals at all. (a single circle might be too much, imo, so extending the slider is better)

  2. also the same about downbeats, there are several which should be clickable, some examples: 00:12:795 - 00:15:195 - 00:47:595 - 00:53:595 - 01:15:195 -
