I bought a tablet not too long ago but, I started to think, is osu! really good with tablet? I'm really good with mouse and keyboard but, I just configured the tablet and it's already hard to use. Can somebody tell me some good tips about using tablets and why it is necessary/unnecessary? Thanks a lot!

It's a different device you naturally have problems with it as you never used it like that before.
A tablet is not a necessity to play osu! even though most experienced players prefer that playstyle.
There are a lot of players out there that prove the viability of playing with a good mouse everyday though so it's up to you.

no it's not necessary by anyway, it's personal preference
a LOT of ppl consider that tablet is better cuz "absolute positioning" so it doesn't suffer from something like mouse drift
tablet's pen is also lighter than a mouse and easier to have control of.. and tablet is somewhere easier to get used to than a mouse.. and not every mouse is a good mouse but for osu anytablet with absolute postioning is just fine
but it's not necessary to use tablet to get better
there are few players who are in top 50 global ranking using mouse such as doomsday, wilchq, angelsim and AmaiHachimitsu
so ye.. personal preference

You can be a fantastic player using just a mouse. In my personal opinion it's harder to use a mouse than a tablet, but I'm also heavily biased (having used a tablet for years and also being left-handed with a right-handed mouse).

Even being the case that I'm left-handed, I still made it up to 4* maps with a mouse before switching, and that's a major handicap. I eventually switched because I couldn't do spinners (of all the things to be bad at...)

If you're more comfortable with a mouse, or if you don't have money for a tablet, keep using a mouse. If you ever want to switch, there will be a certain period where you'll have to get used to a tablet, but the reading skill and tapping ability will still be there, so you'll catch up much faster than you would otherwise.

no (necessary to play osu!)
subjective (necessary to be good at osu!)

gather information, do some thinking and form an opinion

???

Even apart from the actual answer being "No" which is probably not what you wanted to say, you still ignore the fact that we were taught during our whole lives to use pens for drawing. So there's really no reason to use a mouse in that scenario. Meanwhile we've used mice and computers in junction close to forever.

Is tablet really necessary?
No. But it's still better than mouse.

I'm really good with mouse and keyboard
Also lol. If that were the case, why would you switch?

From experience, I can tell you that when you are trying to get new players to get hooked the game, "mouse-only" is the way to go. It helps them to learn the mechanics of the game early on.

Tablet carried me to 5k until I stopped being able to progress because there's no equivalent broken method for tapping

Saying tablet is necessary is very 'subjective'.

I wouldn't exactly say that it's needed, I personally own both a 15$ mouse and a wacom tablet.

I prefer tablet for jumping but I wouldn't say it's good for snapping. Mouse is very comfortable for snapping, but for jumps sometimes you can feel some limitations. If I were to be honest with you, I'd say that using mouse until you feel that you have a limitation for jumps and snapping is like 2nd nature.

When that happens, try using tablet in your friend's house or buy it on ebay for like 20$.

Have fun ^^ ~ The Actor

Most mouse sensors are not very accurate. And most mice with good sensors have terrible shapes/weight.

Could you afford a tablet?
If yes, then why not buy one?

Also, Deathadder master race. The only good Razer product to be exact.
