2016-01-09 23:07 UndeadCapulet: pretty much the only complaint i have about the map
2016-01-09 23:07 deetz: theres like a little scratching thing and i didnt want to make that part empty or switch polarity
2016-01-09 23:07 deetz: so
2016-01-09 23:07 deetz: thats the best i came up with
2016-01-09 23:07 deetz: i dunno i think its readable

2016-01-09 23:09 UndeadCapulet: i just feel like vocals+guitar is better, but that's just me
2016-01-09 23:10 deetz: what do you suggest them

2016-01-09 23:11 UndeadCapulet: something like that?
2016-01-09 23:13 deetz: good idea
2016-01-09 23:18 UndeadCapulet: oh and the instruments at 01:18:436 (1) - cut off at the blue tick, maybe cut your slider there too
2016-01-09 23:19 deetz: g
2016-01-09 23:19 deetz: hmm
2016-01-09 23:20 deetz: this map doesnt use sliders into circles like that i think
2016-01-09 23:20 deetz: doesn't fit the theme
2016-01-09 23:20 deetz: so i just did it like this
2016-01-09 23:20 deetz: and its close enough that nobody will notice
2016-01-09 23:20 UndeadCapulet: yeah either way's fine

[Easy]
it's fine

[Kamal's Normal]
it's fine

[Hard]
00:32:436 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - why is everything a hold
01:12:311 - this would feel better with a circle here

[A Thousand Winds]
00:00:186 (1) - ez sliderbreak :(
00:08:936 (3) - flip slider and move away this is rly confusing imo
00:16:186 (8) - another ez sliderbreak
00:24:436 (1,2,3,4) - so easy to sliderbreak here, maybe less holding
00:32:436 (1,2,3,4) - ^
00:47:936 (3,1) - these should be moved away from each other to make reading easier
00:58:811 (2,3) - the way (2) overlaps (3) doesn't look very good, try moving it here

00:32:436 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - why is everything a hold gotta introduce slider length reading :0
01:12:311 - this would feel better with a circle here slidered

[A Thousand Winds]
00:00:186 (1) - ez sliderbreak :( its the first object yo
00:08:936 (3) - flip slider and move away this is rly confusing imo l2play da antiflow (this is needed to introduce the concept)
00:16:186 (8) - another ez sliderbreak player should be able to get this by this point in the song
00:24:436 (1,2,3,4) - so easy to sliderbreak here, maybe less holding dunno, will think about it but mapping vocals works here for me
00:32:436 (1,2,3,4) - ^ ^
00:47:936 (3,1) - these should be moved away from each other to make reading easier its just an antijump tho, and not the first time i've used one
00:58:811 (2,3) - the way (2) overlaps (3) doesn't look very good, try moving it here breaks the antiflow and the consistency of spacing and the structure and aaa

Sup, from my modding queue.

[Easy]

  1. 01:10:436 (4) - Ctrl+h? It's just a random nazi tho.
[Normal]

  1. 00:48:936 (2) - Touches the life bar. > http://puu.sh/mtGWj/12a82d6256.jpg
[Hard]

  1. 00:35:686 (9,10) - Some players might miss this because you did stacks like this before but with a 1/4 beat spacing. So some players might interpret this one wrong.
  2. 00:48:811 (2,3,4) - I'm not sure if this is intentional but I thought there would be a small jump here 00:49:061 (3,4) instead of 00:48:811 (2,3) .
  3. 00:56:436 (1,2,3) - Imo sth similar to this would play better. (Well it's a bit forced when you didn't put 00:57:061 (3) next to the 00:56:811 (2) 's tail)
Didn't mod A Thousand Winds because I'm not good and modding Insane stuff and this mapset is already good so I don't wanna throw some useless blablabla or something. Sry.
Hope my mod helped lol. Good luck~

These suggestions are what I personally think best suits the song.

General Stuff:

Title: 割れたリンゴ
Artist: 種田梨沙
Also add them to tags.

Easy:
00:22:436 (3) - Why no NC?
00:38:436 (1) - Remove NC.

Kamal's Normal:
01:11:186 (3,4) - Small suggestion. Remove those two sliders and replace it with starting on 01:11:436. Of course, you'll have to remove 01:12:186 (5).
01:14:186 (5,1) - Another small suggestion: Remove these two sliders and place instead. If you do decide to do this then add NC at 01:14:936 (2).

Hard:
00:35:936 (10) - Add NC here and remove it here: 00:36:436 (1).

Not sure which ones you wanted me to mod so I only modded these 3 difficulties.

GL with it being ranked!

[Hard]

  1. 00:35:686 (9,10) - Some players might miss this because you did stacks like this before but with a 1/4 beat spacing. So some players might interpret this one wrong. hm, the first few patterns serve to introduce the rhythm, then the player should be able to catch all of these by listening.
  2. 00:48:811 (2,3,4) - I'm not sure if this is intentional but I thought there would be a small jump here 00:49:061 (3,4) instead of 00:48:811 (2,3) . its based on sliderheads but i did a thing anyways
  3. 00:56:436 (1,2,3) - Imo sth similar to this would play better. (Well it's a bit forced when you didn't put 00:57:061 (3) next to the 00:56:811 (2) 's tail) nah that's the movement i want

Kamal's Normal:

both are intentional and based on changes in the music and rhythmic consistency

Hard:
00:35:936 (10) - Add NC here and remove it here: 00:36:436 (1). not what I intended but I fixed my nc's cuz they were wrong anyways

[General]
  1. 01:18:436 - I think you should extend kiai to here, to cover the entire chorus
[Easy]

  • I would increase AR to 4 to fit better with your relatively faster slider velocity
It makes the diff feel less dense overall and works better with the mapping style
  1. 00:04:436 (1,2) - Shape is kinda weird, maybe just move (2) left so the shape is circular
  2. 00:09:436 (2,1) - I don't think there's a need to force parallel sliders here. It doesn't really fit with the style, and is pretty uninteresting. There's no reason not to curve the second slider
  3. 00:29:436 (2,3) - Being kinda picky. I think (3) is too curved and because of that, and also because of the way you've placed it, the shape these two sliders make is irregular and it stands out for me. I think the easiest way to fix the shape is rotating (3) some other direction, and it will still work well with the subsequent objects
  4. 00:32:436 (1,2,3) - Sudden switch to "angled" sliders goes against the smooth style you set up in the beginning of the song. I think you should remain consistent with your smooth mapping style if the song remains consistent as well, and then have some changes only in the chorus
  5. 00:35:936 (4,1) - Same point as the parallel sliders, this is pretty boring and I think you can easily make it more interesting (such as changing the long slider to a wave or whatever)
  6. 01:12:436 (1) - Don't think the whistle fits very well, there's really no indication in the song to warrant a whistle and is inconsistent with the rest of the hitsounds
  7. 01:16:436 (1) - Put a clap on the tail
  8. 01:26:436 (1,2) - Ok this is probably the most subjective suggestion I've ever given, and probably the most subjective suggestion you've ever received. ... I think you should end the diff with two straight sliders (with no fixpoints) rather than two curved ones. For one, I think you should distinguish specifically this bar from the previous one, since it's the very last one in the song. It...lets the player know that the song is ending. Making them curved like the last bar makes me feel like there's more objects mapped afterwards, and it takes me by surprise that the song is over at this point, and not the next. Hope this makes sense
I really like the hitsounds, it makes the diff enjoyable to play

[Kamal's Normal]
  1. 00:03:436 (3,4) - The strongest beats are on the 1 and 3/4, so this is super awkward to play. The best rhythm choices you can make are: 3/4 slider, 1/4 reverse with circle on 3/4, 1/4 double reverse, or 1/2 slider with circle on 3/4.
  2. 00:23:436 (4,1) - I think having these similar sliders appear consecutively is bad for design. You should make them clearly distinct
  3. 00:40:436 - I think you should vary the rhythm in the chorus so it's more interesting to play .-.

[Hard]
  1. 00:24:436 - I think you should slow down the rhythm in this entire section. There's no need to cover entire bars with sliders. You should focus on the strongest beats and leave fillers empty to complement the change of pace in the song
For example, the first bar starting from 00:24:436 - :

[Insane]
  • The bpm is too fast for me to give proper suggestions x_x
One thing I'd like to mention.. I have the opinion where you shouldn't visually overlap hitobjects unless they serve a visual purpose
    So things like 00:13:436 (5,7) - , 00:14:436 (1,3) - , 00:42:436 (1,3) - I'm not a huge fan of
(00:24:436 (1,2,3,4) - Things like this is nice though  )

It makes the diff feel less dense overall and works better with the mapping style I would but I heard qats prefer AR2 on easies or something

Making them curved like the last bar makes me feel like there's more objects mapped afterwards, and it takes me by surprise that the song is over at this point, and not the next. Hope this makes sense that's amazing tho. that's exactly what I want. the song doesnt really "fade away" or anything of the sort. rather, it suddenly cuts out when the instrument stops. that's why it's so cool if that actually takes the player by surprise lol
I really like the hitsounds, it makes the diff enjoyable to play

The best rhythm choices you can make are: 3/4 slider, 1/4 reverse with circle on 3/4, 1/4 double reverse, or 1/2 slider with circle on 3/4. pretty sure his focus wasn't on the drum here, and didn't want to complicate the rhythm too much
  2. 00:23:436 (4,1) - I think having these similar sliders appear consecutively is bad for design. You should make them clearly distinct I know why you don't like this sort of aesthetic and I don't either (lmao) but it seems like this is more up to style
  3. 00:40:436 - I think you should vary the rhythm in the chorus so it's more interesting to play .-. spread yo

[Hard]

Hi

[General]
There's a problem with your metadata. Open your .osu file and under "Creator:" make sure you have "Milan-" next to it instead of "deetz"

Some flow is weird in Insane. I think it'll help if you make HP drain 5.9

[A Thousand Winds]

00:00:186 (1) - this repeater is too easy for me. make it harder please
00:02:936 (3) - ctrl + G twice
00:21:811 (7) - you should make this clockwise instead of counterclockwise
00:28:436 (1) - press Q twice
00:52:186 (1,1,2,3) - 5 grids up, 6 grids down, then 1 grid up for better flow
01:08:811 (2) - rotate this 720 degrees for better flow
01:18:436 (1) - wtf 0.5x SV? make it slower please
01:20:436 - I think for this guitar part it would be cool if you overlap all your objects
01:24:311 (5) - You should make this 1/64
01:26:936 (2) - I think this should be faster

Very cool map! Unfortunately this diff doesn't meet the criteria for a ranked map so I'm afraid you're going to have to remap it.
Good luck! hope this mod helps! Kudosu please!
