So I'm trying to make my first beatmap and I want to know how exactly do I set up a perfect timing?
And what is BPM used for.

I didn't know it would be so advanced when I dropped in an MP3 song to osu. :/
plz help.

I'm kinda sorta new to this whole osu thing anyways.

BPM=Beats per minute. It's basically a measure of how fast a song is. I could try help you find it, if you'd like~

An other way to find it is by dropping your song into MixMeister BPM analyzer
It often give 'vague' numbers, like 159.98, or 180.04, but you 99.9% of the time just round them to normal number, respectively 160 and 180
Then the offset is the time the first sound starts. Play the mp3 at 25%, and stop it once you hear thw first sound. 99.9% of the time, that is the offset
