Everyone progresses at different rates, it took me about a month to get into insanes, but it might take others less or more time. Just keep playing and don't worry about how fast you "should" improve, just focus on improving and enjoy the game

Me being the biggest noob ever took about 2 years to even touch an insane map. I was satisfied with just farming easy/normal double s's with hr/dt/hd. I used to have 99.70+ accuracy and got ptsd every time I had to submit a score below that.

you shouldn't rush.. just go tho diff slowly to master the basiccs and mechanics

~7 months to properly click 4*.
took me 3 months (6 months if you include my first 3 months of inactive period) to be able to clear insane songs with decent accuracy

sozm8, you can't play hards.
Comparing yourself to others is generally not a good idea. Play and enjoy the game
smthng smthng play maps you can 95%acc smthng smthng. Honestly, play maps you feel comfortable on playing. If you want to improve play maps you barely can't FC or can hold a respectable combo on (i'd say 30% of max combo).
I personally had a rough time getting anything done, almost 2 years in to this game and I can't FC over 4* maps confidently, while still also enjoying to play those same 2*-3* maps i played only weeks after starting this game. It's up to you how you play the game.

200 play count, don't worry about playing stuff out of your reach. Also getting a B isn't "playing" a map. From what I see you can't play hards either, forget about insanes. I think I played my first insane at 1k play count, and could somewhat competently play them at around 5k. Chill fam.
It takes about 1 month to get #100 and a couple more week to get top #50. you're doing great.

I only now can reap pp from insanes, and that's only the low 4 star ones after 6 months. Don't rush yourself.
got to hard maps in like 1-2 months. and from hard maps to even easy insanes it was a struggle of roughly 3-4 years (not that i tried hard but it really wasn't that easy for me). now in about 2 months from easy insanes to easy expert/extra just thanks to tillerino

Took me about 1 and a half months between starting playing again and playing insane diffs, and then like another half a month to start playing Insanes comfortably.
