What switch should I use?

I'm using Gateron Clears right now, 35g actuation force. It's a little too light. I sometimes accidentally press a key and it'll screw me over. The rubber dome in my laptop is a little heavier than I'd like, but I'm not sure of the actuation force. What would be a good switch that's not too heavy or too light? I've never used any other switches.

Nekomimi switch cherry mx blue from my own experience, I'm using it before red.
Or maybe red (45 g) which is 10g higher actuation force than the one you use now.
I have way more accidental key press than when I was using blue, but I prefer red for osu!.
Can't tell anything about other switches since I have only tried those two.

If you like the feel of the Gateron Clears I would recommend cherry mx red (45g) or cherry mx black(60g).

It's all preference, but i'd say you get some Cherry MX switches.
go try different kinds of them in a shop or something.
reds and blacks (linear switches) are just different weights and a browns and blues (tactile switches) are essentially the same blues just make a lot of sound (it's a really nice sound by the way, i really like the sound it's just orgasmic).

This might sound "shilly" (is that a word), but these Omron Romer-G switches in Logitech's mechanical keyboards are working great for me. I switched to them from mx reds after trying browns; wanted something with more feedback but browns felt "gritty" after using reds for over a year.

Saw the g910 for a really good price and pulled the trigger; haven't looked back since. The switches are very smooth with a consistent and very soft bump and are in between reds browns in terms of actuation force.

for a real answer, you probably want to check out mx reds

As you said you like linear type of switch, so i would go with either reds (45g) or blacks (60g). I use red ones myself, and I can recommend it to you. At first I thought they are going to be too light, but they are just perfect.
