[General]

  1. Set combo colours please.
  2. Widescreen support conflicts in Insane.
  3. Bro you have to update your beatmap otherwise people won't notice what you have fixed from previous mod(s).
[Easy]

  1. Try to maintain the flow especially in easier difficulties. I'll give an example below.
  2. 00:31:796 (2,3,4) - This is how the flow should be. Usually flows will be supported by either hitcircle/sliderend. In this case, 00:32:653 (3) should be in the line of red arrow I pointed out. Because that way will keep things smoother and it will be more enjoyable for beginners. If I were you, I would move 00:32:653 (3) to x:216 y:128 (well of course you have to move other objects too to keep a constant DS) . Also try not to place objects that can confuse beginner like this. In this case, after the player hit on 00:31:796 (2) . Some of them might go for 00:33:082 (4) instead of 00:32:653 (3) .
[Normal]

  1. Kicksliders with 2 kicks or more aren't recommended in Normal, because it's too difficult for beginners to play. I strongly recommend you to delete them all and put something else instead.
  2. This song has a polarity change. Try to learn more about it here and continue what I'm going to point out below. (If you don't learn about this you won't understand what I have pointed out below.)
    1. Generally speaking, we don't start/end an object on the blue tick in Easy and Normal. Because usually it's the weakest beat and the hardest to click on especially for beginners.
    2. In Easy and Normal, we try to have the same beat spacings between objects because it will be readable for beginners. Things like 00:00:724 (2,3,1) is pretty hard to read because 00:00:724 (2,3) has a 3/4 beat spacing while 00:01:367 (3,1) has a 1/1 beat spacing. Most beginners will not be able to detect the 1/4 beat difference and might ended up clicking on 00:01:796 (1) 1/4 beats earlier while playing.
    3. What I'm trying to say is, try to switch the polarity between objects if possible. And try having the same beat spacing between objects. (This is pretty hard to do so.)
  3. You should use a constant DS. Because since the beginning until 00:13:796 you used 1.5 DS and then you changed to 1.2 DS after that. DS automatically calculates the correct distance with the current slider velocity at that time. So don't be surprised if objects at the beginning until 00:13:796 became more dense than the other parts in the song. Because the first part has a lower slider velocity.
Surprisingly good for a new mapper, keep it up. Somehow I didn't mod your map much and ended giving some tips instead lol. Sry for that. And good luck~
PS. The "out of line" thing that the mod above mentioned means that the objects are kinda out of the grid zone.

Change combo colors. Suggestions: blue, purple, pink (similar to the background, but do not use black bc some people play on 100% dim)
SV in both Insane and Freedom are quite slow, it might be taking away from both the visual aesthetic and the playability (slow slider to huge jump), also doing fancy shapes with small sliders can look quite awk if not done right
02:09:939 (1) - this slider is pretty cool though, i would keep it if it isnt unrankable (from Freedom)

00:16:796 (3,1) - just barely touching sliders dont look very good to me, but you should be fine if you keep em that way (applies to rest of map too) you could try using this spacing 01:33:939 (3,1)
00:37:796 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - curve is very slight that it almost looks messy
00:27:724 (3,5) - blanket can improve

Currently reworking Insane and Freedom on kiai time part to cope with sped up SV. Should be done by tomorrow.

For anyone who's going to mod this map please mod other parts apart from kiai time on Insane and Freedom or the Easy and Normal diff.

The spinner 01:26:224 - 01:28:796 could be considered hard for beginner players to react to as a slider follows 1/1 after. It might not seem much, but I know how would I react some months ago :P maybe try moving its end to 01:28:367 ? Though it might then sound kinda empty but that's just a gameplay-wise suggestion.

I think I could fail at this if I tried it without knowing lol

Since the Freedom diff is the only diff that is above 4.0, It's the only one I will mod. So let's begin!

General

• I'm sure your aware of this, but the map needs more mapping after 02:24:082.

• The hitsounds in the starting part is pretty lacking. I think you should change all the notes from the start up until 00:13:796, since the song starts to be more dramatic. You should also add a bit of hitsounds at the start. After you made them all soft try to add a bit of whistles. For example, at a whistle at both 00:01:367 (3) + 00:03:082 (3). You could hear how it makes a hitsound pattern.

Freedom

• 00:26:117 (2,3) - The problem with this part is that, they don't the music at all. I mean, there is a pattern for that part but it's just that the girl's voice at 00:26:224 is higher than anything else. So i recommend that you delete both 2 and 3, and start a pattern at 00:26:224 to match the girl's vocals.

• 00:43:153 (2,3) - The spacing between those 2 notes does not match 00:42:939 (1,2), so it's kinda weird to play it like this. Try reducing the spacing between 00:43:153 (2,3) so it could fit the spacing between 00:42:939 (1,2).

• 00:46:582 (8,9) - Same here. Reducing the spacing between those 2 notes so it could match up with 00:46:367 (7,8)

• 00:47:653 (1) - NC is not needed here at all.

• 01:01:367 (1) - ^^

• 01:41:546 (2,3) - Same issue with the first point

• 02:02:653 (4) - Not that I only think this slider is ugly, but I think there should be a different rhythm pattern here. Try this instead.

• 02:09:939 (1) - The sudden HUGE change to the SV of this slider, completely ruins the flow of the map. Please reduce it. Also remove the NC from it.

• 02:16:796 (1) - Remove NC

ok, this map is..this song is actually so hard to map, you actually could not have chosen a harder song as your first map. Some general concerns:turn distance snap on when mapping this diff. If you don't know how, hit 'Y' to toggle it on and off, especially when mapping the jumps. You can toggle distance spacing too, it's on the top right in editor. Your spacing is way too inconsistent and big, mostly inconsistent and completely random. Some examples: 00:29:224 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - 00:42:939 (1,2,3) - 00:46:367 (7,8,9) - 00:49:796 (1,2,3) - 00:53:224 (1,2,3) - 01:00:082 (5,6,7) - 01:03:510 (1,2,3) - 01:10:367 (1,2) - 01:58:367 (1,2,3) - and others. Next thing. Rhythm selection. Majority of the time, you never want a red or white tick to be completely empty and unmapped. Strong beats usually fall on these especially white so if you don't map these they become really bad-sounding. Some examples: 00:19:582 (3,4,5,6,1) - 00:27:510 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - it's ok, I think I'll just dive in to actual modding

00:00:082 (1,2,3) - this is incredibly hard to read (everything in this map is because of the way the song is). I would change to http://puu.sh/mmLRK/5c579db88d.jpg
00:01:796 (1,2,3) - http://puu.sh/mmLTW/7d81deb9e1.jpg sounds much cleaner, because I feel 00:02:117 and 00:02:760 needs to be clickable, not covered by a sliderend.
00:03:510 (1,2,3) - to make it look cleaner I tried using 1.5x distance spacing (will refer to as DS) and ctrl+g'ing 00:04:153 (3) - http://puu.sh/mmM2K/52730742d2.jpg btw I just realised you do use DS, but your flow is a little off. For example if your slider at 00:04:153 (3) - is facing left it does not look neat, it actually looks messy, and the flow is not there either
00:05:224 (1,2,3) - if I'm not mistaken you copypasted the whole previous pattern and just dumped it there? Maybe try something like selecting all 3 objects, copypaste, then move them up and to the right. Then select only the 2 circles and ctrl+g. You want your pattern to be as close as possible to the next pattern 00:06:939 (1,2,3) - so it doesn't feel like a weird jump
00:07:582 (2) - ctrl+g is your friend. going in the same direction twice in a row is a good idea sometimes, but it is more often not the best idea. Also you can move this slider further away from slider 1 because..it feels too cramped.
00:08:653 (1,2) - space them out
00:11:010 (5) - ctrl+g and move it to the right. btw if you have learned anything from ^ above you can just apply if you see sections that sound similar and have a similar pattern used, mapping is about learning and applying knowledge in all different places
00:15:510 (1,2,3,4,5) - you wanna start this pattern somewhere else because you just spent a lot of time in that area of the field. move somewhere else such as x:432 y:296. I also recommend changing 00:13:796 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - some of these to 1/4 sliders, it will make them sound better such as 00:14:439 (3) -
00:16:796 (10) - this can be 1/2 slider however (twice the length of 1/4 slider)
00:17:224 (1,2,3) - move somewhere else far away
00:19:582 (3,4,5,6,1) - really unneeded because the music is exactly the same as before and you introduce a random stream. probably delete 00:20:332 (4,6) - and readjust notes
00:22:367 (1,2,3,4,5) - too cramped. go somewhere else
00:25:796 (1,2,3,4) - you want to map to the vocals, but I think you can't ignore the instruments either. I think this is good http://puu.sh/mmNgg/0c58cb5c55.jpg
00:27:510 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - triplets on their own like that are really weird. usually sliders are there to help the player in rhythm since the end of the slider always follows the beat, it helps guide the player. I reworked your pattern http://puu.sh/mmNnj/705075cade.jpg even this is acceptable though not as good http://puu.sh/mmNq4/81435232f5.jpg (this is just adding a 1/2 slider to the last note of your triplet) +btw you definitely should use some form of DS here, jumping triples from edge to edge is bad. You want to keep consistency in your difficulty/spacing (you don't want to have random difficulty spikes in the middle of the map and have a piss-easy section right after). Approaching the exciting part of the song the map should become harder and so on. Looks something like http://puu.sh/mmNyc/a98cc8426c.jpg if I curve the sliders and use 1.4x DS
00:29:224 (1,2,3) - what is in the middle of these. too empty. add stuff. you can add a circle on all of the red ticks here
00:30:939 (1,2) - definitely add circle here. 00:31:367 and 00:32:010 also you can ctrl+g 00:31:153 (2) - and 00:31:796 (5) - , you're just moving to the right all the time that's arguably bad flow

00:35:224 (3,4) - copypaste and rotate/flip your sliders neatly, this looks really random
00:39:296 (7) - make this a repeater and start the spinner only on 00:39:617
00:41:224 (1,2) - pause in between is really weird. much prefer http://puu.sh/mmNT7/4b391ddf77.jpg music simply doesn't suit your rhythm anymore, it's different from the beginning of the song
00:42:510 (5,6,7) - just to let you know, you can space triplets in a straight line too, they are usually nicer to look at

00:44:224 (6,7,8) - oh right.
00:44:653 (1,2,3) - sometimes you don't want to use too many fancy sliders like this in a row. curves and straight lines are good

01:03:510 (1,2,3,4,5) - just an example. this is a problem because the amount of time between 1 and 2 is exactly the same as 3 and 4, and yet distance is so different. It does not feel good at all

01:10:796 (3,4,5) - way too many non-regular sliders
01:18:510 (5) - would change to a 1/2 slider with 2 circles

01:45:938 (4,5,6) - doesn't warrant a triplet, too random
02:00:082 (1,2,3) - recommend move 2 somewhere else for a jump
02:05:439 (2,3,4) - same time. totally huge difference in spacing
02:22:367 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - very confusing to read. btw many issues were already mentioned before so I'm just looking at maybe more important issues near the end.

Maybe try something like selecting all 3 objects, copypaste, then move them up and to the right. Then select only the 2 circles and ctrl+g. 00:07:582 (2) - ctrl+g is your friend. going in the same direction twice in a row is a good idea sometimes, but it is more often not the best idea. Also you can move this slider further away from slider 1 because..it feels too cramped. Done

Beginners usually find it easier when a slider’s end is pointing straight at the next slider’s start and the next slider not going back to where the previous slider ended from. Sorry, I probably didn’t make sense. But I guess it would be better to make the slider going to a different direction such as down.

These last two difficulties look pretty good already so there isn't much that looks demonstrably off. Most of my comments are minor things that I would have done differently than you.

  1. Your mp3 is 128 kbps, you should try making it 192 kbps (rankable maximum) for better quality.
  2. You have a normal-hitfinish in your folder that isn't used anywhere and is also identical to the default normal-hitfinish, this should be deleted.
  3. IMO, the kiai section at 01:56:653 - doesn't fit. The music doesn't feel that intense to warrant a kiai, and I think it takes away from the impact of the second kiai (which feels genuine to me). This especially makes sense to remove the kiai since you didn't have one 01:08:653 - here, where the music is similar.
[Freedom]
  1. 00:29:653 (2) - This slider feels awkward in that it's overlapping the previous 7, and not perfectly either (since it's a completely different shape). What I would recommend is rotate the slider to be like so: link. Some more options could be to make the 2 a perfect copy of 7 (or vice versa), or to move the 2 farther down enough to avoid overlap.
  2. This 1/4 part starting at 00:30:939 (1) - is a bit confusing considering all the overlaps and strange spacing, particularly 00:32:224 (7,8,9,10,1) - this pattern because it's so close to the previous slider.
  3. 00:39:082 (5,6,7) - Aesthetics suggestion: you should not have this slight turn at 5 here, it's a little awkward and makes more sense both gameplay-wise and music-wise to keep the same direction/curve as 4 was going on.
  4. 00:43:153 (2,3) - These notes should be placed off of the 1 before it, because they're such strong sounds - it's disorienting as well as not musically representative to have them stacked under 1. You should place them separately, like what you have here 01:00:082 (1,2,3) - (although it's okay if you stack the strong notes with each other, just note a passive sound with a strong sound).
  5. 01:06:939 (1,2,3,4,5) - Consider whistles on the 1, 3, and 5 head? (This isn't even a suggestion, just that you should try it out and see if you like it or not)
  6. Again, I think this 1/4 part is overly confusing with all the overlaps, especially 01:47:653 (7,8,1,2,3) - this part.
  7. 02:03:296 (5,1) - Why are these two stacked so slightly below 4 end? It looks a little ugly.

  1. 00:37:796 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - I think it would be good if these two streams were flipped vertically, since it would fit better with the back and forth flow from 00:36:939 (5,6,7,8) - this pattern before it.
  2. 01:07:796 (5,6) - This is a little ugly as is, you should blanket it better, like this if you want a really close blanket, or like this if you want it looser (you'll have to change the 5 slider shape a little, either way).
  3. 01:49:796 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This pattern seems like it could be potentially harmful, I won't pass any definitive judgment on it.
[Hard]
  1. 00:00:082 - This whole first section, I know you held to the distance snap, but I feel like the patterns feel too close to each other, and a typical Hard difficulty player might press them early, so I think they should be spaced farther (for example, 00:01:796 (1,2) - should be spaced farther from 00:00:082 (1,2,3) - ).
  2. 00:25:796 (1,2,3,4) - You suddenly switch mapping focus here from the instrumentals to the vocals - not only that, but in sparsely spaced circles. This threw me off, and still throws me off just looking at it, I think you should either map in sliders (like in your 2 high diffs) or continue mapping the instrumentals in this part to be consistent.

These last two difficulties look pretty good already so there isn't much that looks demonstrably off. Most of my comments are minor things that I would have done differently than you.

  2. You have a normal-hitfinish in your folder that isn't used anywhere and is also identical to the default normal-hitfinish, this should be deleted. Deleted
  3. IMO, the kiai section at 01:56:653 - doesn't fit. The music doesn't feel that intense to warrant a kiai, and I think it takes away from the impact of the second kiai (which feels genuine to me). This especially makes sense to remove the kiai since you didn't have one 01:08:653 - here, where the music is similar. But it's still da drop maaan
[Freedom]
  1. 00:29:653 (2) - This slider feels awkward in that it's overlapping the previous 7, and not perfectly either (since it's a completely different shape). What I would recommend is rotate the slider to be like so: link. Some more options could be to make the 2 a perfect copy of 7 (or vice versa), or to move the 2 farther down enough to avoid overlap. Made 2 the copy of 7
  2. This 1/4 part starting at 00:30:939 (1) - is a bit confusing considering all the overlaps and strange spacing, particularly 00:32:224 (7,8,9,10,1) - this pattern because it's so close to the previous slider. Changed a bit, I mean, very, little. Still has all those overlaps
  3. 00:39:082 (5,6,7) - Aesthetics suggestion: you should not have this slight turn at 5 here, it's a little awkward and makes more sense both gameplay-wise and music-wise to keep the same direction/curve as 4 was going on. Changed whole stream pattern
  4. 00:43:153 (2,3) - These notes should be placed off of the 1 before it, because they're such strong sounds - it's disorienting as well as not musically representative to have them stacked under 1. You should place them separately, like what you have here 01:00:082 (1,2,3) - (although it's okay if you stack the strong notes with each other, just note a passive sound with a strong sound). Spaced them
  5. 01:06:939 (1,2,3,4,5) - Consider whistles on the 1, 3, and 5 head? (This isn't even a suggestion, just that you should try it out and see if you like it or not) Didn't very liked it
  6. Again, I think this 1/4 part is overly confusing with all the overlaps, especially 01:47:653 (7,8,1,2,3) - this part. No change

  2. 01:07:796 (5,6) - This is a little ugly as is, you should blanket it better, like this if you want a really close blanket, or like this if you want it looser (you'll have to change the 5 slider shape a little, either way). Changed to your first suggestion
  3. 01:49:796 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This pattern seems like it could be potentially harmful, I won't pass any definitive judgment on it. Fixed pattern

  1. 00:00:082 - This whole first section, I know you held to the distance snap, but I feel like the patterns feel too close to each other, and a typical Hard difficulty player might press them early, so I think they should be spaced farther (for example, 00:01:796 (1,2) - should be spaced farther from 00:00:082 (1,2,3) - ). It looks fine to me
  2. 00:25:796 (1,2,3,4) - You suddenly switch mapping focus here from the instrumentals to the vocals - not only that, but in sparsely spaced circles. This threw me off, and still throws me off just looking at it, I think you should either map in sliders (like in your 2 high diffs) or continue mapping the instrumentals in this part to be consistent. Fixed

Generally, The Combo colors, I think the combo 3 color is almost identical to combo 4 and I'd thought of changing that. I left it hard to read sometimes especially the hard parts of the map. I know you're following the color of the background, so try making it pink?
