In edit, How do I disable the storyboard/??? pls hepl

While in editor, go to design, then disable all the Layer toggles.

i have disabled everything in layer toggles, but i can still see the background...

You should not see the background if you don't have "Background" checked in the Layer Toggles under the design tab. The "Foreground" toggles the items in the foreground, or the storyboard.
