Yuii-'s Easy
01:10:312 (4,1) - fix ds
01:14:062 (2,1) - fix ds
Arphimigon

Maybe add like, January to the tags or some useless things like that.

[Yui Funami's Easy]
AR feels wayyyyyyy too high for an easy of this speed. I'd knock it down to like... AR1 or something at the really low end. If not, then 2 max.
00:07:496 - Can you add the soft whistles on notes/sliders before this point? You add them after at 00:08:437 - 00:16:875 - etc and it makes it weird to not have them at the start
00:23:437 - ^
yknow what just make sure your soft whistles are consistent oki?
01:45:000 (1) - Perhaps inherit points to make this slightly quieter? Or just the end, so the end doesn't have a normal beat sound.
Idk what there is to say about this, pretty neat.

[Hula's Eloquent]
Same thing about AR, this feels way too high. Try 6? (I'd use 5 imo but you wont agree to that) because right now there is barely ever more than 2 objects on screen.
00:39:843 (4,5,1) - Okay I may sound like a scrub here but this isn't obvious that this is 3/4. Ik spacing but this diff is for newbs. Idk increase spacing even more or slap on NCs or smth. Or maybe its just me idk. But yeah the spacing is interchangeable with 00:46:875 (3,4) - those so I'd make them stand out in some way.
01:22:500 (1,3) - Lol this touching is so offputting when its the only time.
01:29:062 (4,5) - Ik this part is teeeeechnically calmer but since it still is kiai and feels like the same section, can you notch this back up to the spacings of the other 1/4? You can decrease out of the kiai but one small 1/4 in the kiai is odd.

It's really hard to mess up an EN mapset so ez kds for ez mod yay
Yuii-
I am not at home, but as far as I remember my difficulty didn't have any hitsounds at all. Hula, add them please, as a favour.

Will edit this post in a few hours with a reply.

Applied diraimur's things. Also explained some things to Arphi about my difficulty.
Thank you both so much for the mods, much appreciate it!

Update: http://puu.sh/m8IDe/2f338d7584.osu

@Hula: Remember to copy the hitsounds for your difficulty to mine. And also, to lower both ARs in case you agree with what you discussed via chat.

[Eloquent]

  1. 00:48:750 (1,2,3,4) - You could copy the same rhythm from 00:33:750 (1,2,3,4,5) - and also make the spacing more neat, since right now you are not emphasising things properly.
  2. 00:40:312 - Add something here for consistency.
  3. 01:03:750 (1,2,3,4,5) - What's up with this unique rhythm without any inconsistent spacing as you are doing throughout all the other sections on the Kiai?
  4. 01:15:000 (1,2) - Blanket is off, bud.
  5. 01:19:687 - Make this clickable, come on. And also there are some things I want to talk about this pattern. The first one is how ugly 01:18:750 (1,3) - that overlap looks, could be improved. Moreover, and for consistency, 01:20:156 (2,3) - should have more spacing.
  6. 01:29:062 (4,5) - Ughhh, don't stack them, you never do this! You actually do it once, but not in the Kiai, only at the very end on the song, exactly on 01:40:312 (4,5) - when the intensity isn't that high.
  7. 01:30:937 (2,3,4) - You could try to make some better blankets with (2,4), to be honest.

Same thing about AR, this feels way too high. Try 6? (I'd use 5 imo but you wont agree to that) because right now there is barely ever more than 2 objects on screen. Dropping to 5.5
00:39:843 (4,5,1) - Okay I may sound like a scrub here but this isn't obvious that this is 3/4. Ik spacing but this diff is for newbs. Idk increase spacing even more or slap on NCs or smth. Or maybe its just me idk. But yeah the spacing is interchangeable with 00:46:875 (3,4) - those so I'd make them stand out in some way. That's deliberately spaced like that to emphasise it even more, and the spacing does already feel enough to make it obvious that it's definitely not 1/2. 3/4 is always gonna be tough to make perfectly readable, but there's no reason in a 64 bpm song for people not to tap to the beat lol
01:22:500 (1,3) - Lol this touching is so offputting when its the only time. Wow, I'll fix it.
01:29:062 (4,5) - Ik this part is teeeeechnically calmer but since it still is kiai and feels like the same section, can you notch this back up to the spacings of the other 1/4? You can decrease out of the kiai but one small 1/4 in the kiai is odd. Fixed, cos yuii didn't like that either.

It's really hard to mess up an EN mapset so ez kds for ez mod yay thx bruv

This part is different in terms of intensity compared to later on in the kiai, and I'm mapping it slightly different because of that, remember this is an embelished Normal/Hard diff, so ye.
  2. 00:40:312 - Add something here for consistency. There is basically nothing here, but later on, there is, as the song gets more intense
  3. 01:03:750 (1,2,3,4,5) - What's up with this unique rhythm without any inconsistent spacing as you are doing throughout all the other sections on the Kiai? Fixed
  4. 01:15:000 (1,2) - Blanket is off, bud. Wasn't intentional blanket, changed to blanket now
  5. 01:19:687 - Make this clickable, come on. And also there are some things I want to talk about this pattern. The first one is how ugly 01:18:750 (1,3) - that overlap looks, could be improved. Moreover, and for consistency, 01:20:156 (2,3) - should have more spacing.Fixed overlap. Spacing is consistent with previous iterations of that pattern/rhythm
  6. 01:29:062 (4,5) - Ughhh, don't stack them, you never do this! You actually do it once, but not in the Kiai, only at the very end on the song, exactly on 01:40:312 (4,5) - when the intensity isn't that high. Both you and arphi QQd about this, so i changed it.

You thought that was an attempt at blanketing? :( Don't wanna blanket here.
Thanks for the mods bruvs

general

creepy af song mate
also normal in general just looks bad
way too high ars

easy

AR4 is too high for an easy scrub
01:23:437 (2,3,4) - make the 2 symmetrical so it doesn't look shit k?

normal

ar5.5 is questionable for 64bpm but whateverrrrr
cs4 normals asdf
00:32:343 (4,5,6) - ew it looks bad
00:47:343 (4,5,6) - ^
01:02:343 (4,5,6) - ^
01:17:343 (4,5,6) - ^
00:30:000 (1,2) - maybe make this a blanket? looks better imo
00:41:250 (1,2,3) - wow screenwide jumps in a normal you bastard /s/s/s/s (but it doesn't look very good)
Yuii-
@Hula: Add my name into tags. I also told you to lower the damn AR! But since too many people are complaining about the settings, you know what? Screw it, we will make it live, lower AR, OD and HP from my difficulty to "2,0" instead. CS should be fine, unless they want CS7 or something.

@FAO: That pattern is literally a copy paste from all the others, so yeah.

00:32:343 (4,5,6) - ew it looks bad Well, that's the feature of the map, and it's more interesting than just doing bog standard stacking, which it would otherwise be
00:47:343 (4,5,6) - ^
01:02:343 (4,5,6) - ^
01:17:343 (4,5,6) - ^
00:30:000 (1,2) - maybe make this a blanket? looks better imo Not meant to be blanket, slider end is on same Y axis as 00:31:875 (3) -
00:41:250 (1,2,3) - wow screenwide jumps in a normal you bastard /s/s/s/s (but it doesn't look very good) uwot, can't see anything wrong with these and this isn't your typical Normal, it's just this SR because it's 64 bpm.
Okay Yuii- sorry!
Yuii-
Tags aren't consistent. Easy fix, easy rank 8-)

on Bonsai's request ill suggest you to silence all slider-tails which arent actually mapped on a beat :p
[Eloquent]
00:43:348 - i recommend you to put a circle (without whistle) here because you had not that a regular spacing before making you think 00:42:879 (4,5) - is a 1/2 gap. also you can hear some kind of echo from 00:42:879 - at 00:43:348 - so it supports the thought to play the next object to that beat
00:58:348 (5) - welp here you already have sth similiar to ^ :p
[Voli's Medium]
pls save your diff as back-up and re-dl map (new mp3), else timestamps wont work
00:03:036 - insert slider from back-up :p
00:08:661 (3) - think it should be curved more like 00:23:661 (3) - or 00:44:286 (1) - . else 00:03:750 (1,2,3) - just looks too similiar to 00:03:036 (1,2,3) -
01:44:286 (1) - cant the last slider be placed more central in the playfield :s ? it also would look better with the following spinner imo
[Yuii-'s Easy]
pls re-dl map (new mp3), else timestamps wont work
00:04:911 (3,3,3) - two times the same slider/pattern then a different (shaped) one (a a b). but at 00:19:911 (3,3,3) - first a different pattern and then two times the same (b a a). i think both parts (which are basically the same) should follow the same "rules" as it would be more consistent/sturctured then
01:44:286 (1,2,3,4) - it think a pattern with where the angles between all obejcts are the same would fit better here since its 4 times the same note (eg. Z-shape or a square)
[]
not nit-picking even more, map is already good :3
also small irc thing^^
Yuii-
For the first one, you already answered yourself. Basically aab for the first pattern and then an inverted pattern of abb, for variation. As they have the same rhythmical sound, I decided not to make the same slider over and over, that would make the more sense. However, you may ask yourself: then why is 00:12:411 (3) - so different? Basically I ran out of place on the screen to make a good flow-y pattern and so I decided to curve that slider a little bit so I could "reset" the flow from the section.

As for the second one, sure! I made a square if you think that's okay. I wanted to make something more "advanced" or even more "professional" rather than the typical square pattern, because... that's too mainstream I guess. But I always say it, if you try to make new things, people won't be that convinced about a certain pattern because it's very rare to see it on an everyday map until Hollow Wings does the same and so it's called a masterpiece, right? Aw.

Thanks for the mod :)

[Yuii's Easy]
  1. 00:17:098 (2,1,2) - 00:19:911 (3,1,2) - I can't feel any musical difference with other similar parts. Can I ask why these were spaced 1.4x not 1.3x? It only damages your pattern sustainability.
  2. 01:11:473 (2,3) - If you look other similar pattern usages such as 00:41:473 (2,3) - 00:56:473 (2,3) - 01:26:473 (2,3) - you were using the same curve rate. The curve rate is pretty noticably different here, and making the curve rate the same increases consistency.
  3. 01:18:973 (2,3) - Pretty minor for this since those two sliders aren't directly interacting, but anyways slider curve rate could be more similar.
  4. 01:48:036 (1) - The music is fading out here. Fading out the hitsound as other difficulties done would reflect the music better, and construct a better consistency between all difficulties.
[Voli's Medium]
  1. 00:03:036 (1) - Remove whistle in the slide please if unintended. It causes redundant noise.
  2. 00:03:036 (1,2,3) - Spacing of (2) is obviously off.
  3. 00:48:036 (1,2) - Spacing of this was 1.6x while other similar patterns such as 00:33:036 (1,2) - 01:03:036 (1,2) - used 1.2x. I can't feel a musical difference between these, and keeping your setting consistent is what I recommend.
  4. 01:36:786 (1,2) - This pattern pretty seems to started from a symmetry form. However unlike 01:25:536 (1,2) - since the pattern here is directly giving an image of a symmetry, using a different slider shape felt like an unstable pattern rather than a variation of a symmetry. Consider using completely a same slider shape, or remove the impression of a symmetry while making a change in angle etc.
  5. 01:43:348 (5,6,1) - Spacing of (6,1) could easily be a consistent 1.20x. You've kept doing it 00:43:582 (6,1) - 00:58:582 (6,1) - 01:13:582 (6,1) - 01:28:582 (6,1). Breaking consistency damages your beatmap quality, and this inconsistent spacing could result in potential readability issue.
[Eloquent]
  1. 00:35:379 (4) - I think this pattern worths mentioning before this mapset moves forward. You've intentionally detached 00:35:379 (4,5,6) from the previous pattern by using a noticably different distance snap. It works pretty fine enough, and emphasizes the instrument you've selected nicely. However suddenly three kinds of spacing appearing at 00:34:442 (2,3,4,5) didn't felt something cool in terms of aesthetic. Since one of the reason causing this follow points, please do consider adding a new combo at 00:35:379 (4) to completely distinct those three notes with the previous pattern and to make it better in look. 00:50:379 (4) - 01:05:379 (4) - 01:20:379 (4) - too. It will construct an inconsistent combo setting with your slider pattern of 00:38:661 (3,4) etc, but I think you need to make a difference since the 3 note pattern was pretty much distinctive.
  2. 00:42:411 (3,4) - Unlike the above issue, this pattern and anything similar to this seems fine enough. (not a mod)
  3. 00:48:036 (1,2,3) - Ultra nazi issue, but if you toggle the "Follow Point" on, you can see the number of follow point differ due to 0.03x difference. Making the same follow points visible is what I recommend.

Consider working on more to balance the difficulty settings. The biggest concern of mine was the uncertain stance of "Voli's Medium". It has got the smallest circle size in your mapset. Despite "Eloquent" shows a wider cursor movement than medium, Medium has a higer density in rhythm which could be spotted at 00:33:036 (1,2) - 00:36:786 (1,2) - 00:40:536 (1,2) etc. If Medium difficulty was meant to be a connecting difficulty between Easy and Eloquent, the followings are my suggestion to solve these issues:
  1. Consider making the cs of Easy 4 or 3,5. Slider usages of medium makes a small circle size work nicely. Having a smaller cs in easy wouldn't damage the beginner-friendly aspects.
  2. Consider reducing the rhythm density of medium. Making 00:33:036 - 00:36:786 - 00:40:536 etc as a 1/1 slider would balance this mapset better.
  3. Or you could just rename Eloquent as Medium without making any changes. I honestly didn't felt those two difficulty are in a different level.
k that took so long orz Good luck!

I'm applying this, I rarely will pattern NC, but it makes sense and why not do something i never do :)

k that took so long orz Good luck! I get the point being made here about the CS thing, the easy will stay cs3 though, cos i can see that if it's any smaller people will complain a lot. Thing is, I could rename yuii's diff to normal and voli's to hard, i will bring this up with happyrocket and see what he thinks.
Thanks for checking the mapset through sonny :)
