If you drop under 40k and you are already registered then you need to get back up above 40k before January 16th, otherwise you will be forced to leave your team.

My suggestion to those in danger of dropping below 40k is that you play in offline mode for a while and once the tournament starts then go back to online and just farm like crazy.

That would be a good idea except for the fact that you need to remain above 40k until the first round (Qualifying round) ends
