Good when playing alone, bad when playing with irl friends

This is a really common problem i have at all the games i play.
When i play alone i can say im playing decent, and lets take osu here for example.
I can score 200 combos in a songs, but while playing with my irl friends (and being on TeamSpeak with them) i just cant play.
I get very nervous, and sometimes my heartbeat rises, and im afraid of failing, probably.
My friend is playing hard songs while i play the insane ones, or at least trying cause i cant actually finish fully a beatmap on insane.
I really dont know how to solve this, i cant play anything with them, it just makes me really nervous and i fail at stuff i usually dont, and miss shots or combos i wouldn't miss on my own.
Anybody having the same problem ?
Does anybody know what to do about it... ? ;C
Thanks.. C:

Pretend no one is watching you

Get good at playing solo
Then sing show tunes on stage to hundreds of people to conquer your stage fright

Choking syndrome. Just imagine your playing alone.

Honestly, I play better with others.
If you have a competitive mindset, playing with others actually help improve yourself.

before i read all of this i thought your problem was about *your friends never heard of osu and you wanna ask them to play osu w/ you. but they are bad at it and you are the only one w/ highscore and you dont know how to help them*

oops. :p
/me has never had this problem about being scared of friends to play w./

Saying i suck wouldnt help my crappy feelings when i play with them.

good in this context means "according to his current level of skill/rank/pp/whatever", bad means "worse than he usually does". You know that.

On topic:
- focus on something else/distract yourself while playing. Thinking about any topic will work, except thinking about how big you'll mess up this play
- try not to tense up your hands, relax
- chew on something (bubblegum works wonders)
- play more with other people to get used to situations like that

Hm.. I seem to be the exact opposite. I get distracted so easily and usually miss because of my lack of attention.Kind of hard to keep my focus.

Although I don't play with people, this should work in OP's case.

I think you just want to try hard when playing with them, to show off who's boss. Would that be on your mind?
Don't go looking on the leaderboard while playing and check if anyone broke their combo or not as that'll only keep you off your focus.
Just drop that competitive attitude and enjoy the game even more. It's most fun when playing with your friends -atleast I do think so!

Just some advise from an old guy.

Don't drag him down. He's obviously doing his best.

Same thing happens to me. I get really nervous when playing with others.
No one is watching you play. Just think that you're the best out of them.
Play with confidence.
"Staying in a good mood while playing ends up with good results." is what I like to think.

I just ignore them while i was playing. I pay no attention on my friends that watch me playing osu!. If i do, my heartbeat goes faster than 280bpm song. At the same time my hands are panicking especially playing with FL or DT. I suggest you to just ignore them. Focus on playing.

or at least wanted, cause i dont like showing off, because eventually showing off will wreck you so yeah..
when i get a good combo they're like omg how did u get such a good combo...
im trying to use all the tips you guys gave me, i appreciate the time you spent on this ^^

Don't worry about other people when your playing.
Focus on yourself and tbh it doesnt matter whether u play good or not.
If u want to prove ur decent just work on ur ranking i guess ;)
Asuka Kurashina
Don't pay attention to people spectating you I don't have this kind of problem since I'm mostly focused on doing the beatmap itself
