It came from last year's 7K MWC, Blocko was carrying Team USA and there were a couple of memes that came out of it.

The ET meme was the only one that survived after the MWC.

ET is originally an o2jam term for really high level vsrg players
(in the results screen of some private o2jam servers today you can see "ET, GO BACK TO MARS) or something similar to that
And that term migrated to osu!mania and in the early days you saw comments about the high level Korean players being ET.
Then it was memefied in MWC 2014
(and I'm technically the one responsible for spreading the Blocko is ET meme. Sorry :/)
