  2. 00:13:040 (1) - remove NC for cosistency with 00:13:319 (1,2,3,4,5) -
  3. 00:17:226 (7,1) - swap NC
  4. 00:21:970 (5) - this one had extra notes for same-colored streams so NC here if u want to keep consistency of streams in this part.
  5. 01:10:528 (5) - Finished sound with slidertail? nahh. Consider to trim ur slider here and add circle at 01:10:807 - instead.
  6. 02:11:644 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - only this stream had unbalanced one when comes in to this part (I saw 3 of them and ye this is only one where ur stream was different with others.) Consider to fix this.
  7. 02:22:668 (1) - convert it into two circles, 02:22:807 - as slidertail is strange.

Hi for the M4M :v


SPOILER
OK biggest concern right now is your hitsounds are WAY wrong lol. You're using soft addition and on top of that using claps to (sort of) follow the guitar I think? but then after that in parts like 00:25:040 - it doesn't follow anything really it's like it's trying to map to the drums but the drums are every 2nd and 4th tick not every 1st and third tick.

Dragonforce maps are all pretty much the same in terms of hitsounds. Basically normal sampleset for everything else and normal whistle to compliment the lead guitar and vocals. Sometimes you can use drum samples and normal claps on the 2nd and 4th beat if you really want to as well. I highly suggest you check out other ranked dragonforce maps to get an idea of how everyone else has hitsounded theirs (they're all pretty much the same so) but as it stands this is very empty and what is hitsounded isn't right so.

TL;DR: Switch to normal additions remove every clap and re-hitsound. Check other DF maps if you need inspiration. Trust me it'll be way better. (Here's a short hitsound sample I did in like a minute lol just go give you an idea)

01:20:993 (7,8,9) - Flow here is meh cuz it's very linear but also highly spaced. Maybe move (8) to x:409 y:116 and (9) to x:476 y:243 or basically over the slider head of 01:19:737 (1) - will look a bit cleaner too but idk flow is still kinda meh after that but a bit better.

01:26:435 (1,1,1,1) - remove NCs from the last 3. Actually wherever you do this just remove them lol there's a lot more ahead.

01:48:203 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - Here it's fine though because of the increasing spacing but you could still remove them so people can see the followpoints.

02:08:295 - Personally I can see these parts having higher slider velocity but it's not a big deal. Would add a bit of intensity which the vocals offer.

03:04:109 (2,3) - Single notes here would be nicer. Considering this is a slow part the 1/2 slider sounds overmapped So it'd be better this being two 1/1 notes instead.

03:04:667 (1) - Also this could look a bit nicer and flow to (2) better.

03:19:458 (1,2,1,2) - Don't do that. It's still a pretty slow part with buildup. People don't wanna read in these parts they'd rather single tap 3 notes or hold a 1/2 slider with reverse for example instead of having to alternate to a weird rhythm.

03:27:830 (5,6) - Might be better as a long slider since right now the spacing from 5 to 6 is very similar to the one from 4 to 5 except it's not 1/1

03:39:133 (7,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Don't really see much of a reason to have stream jumps personally but even so they flow very poorly as they are. Here is my #proillustration of what this part does (shoutout to Jenny)

Basically you have stream flow (red) then a sharp jump (yellow) onto the next stream this is not bad in itself but it's HOW you have to snap basically you're going up then sharply jump down then go back up slowly then shap jump to the right and going up again it's not a natural snap as players usually expect for these kinds of things. Also considering it's the first time you have these and this late in the song means a lot of ppl will be pissed. Highly suggest revising this, probably better off not having the jumps in the first place imo.

03:45:970 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Same as above. Also for reference compared to that things like 03:47:644 (2,3,4,5) - are way too easy so that's not very consistent.

03:56:016 (1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,1,1) - This could've been really cool if it was mapped a bit like this (messy example but basically this rhythm so you're fingers are kinda streaming to the guitar which is a nice effect.

04:38:435 (1,2) - no reason to make this a 3/4 slider. Would be better off as a 1/2 slider without the end muted so it follows the rhythm better.


Anyway those were just a few general points. The idea and theme is there but I feel overall the map could be a lot cleaner. Things like 00:33:133 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - or 03:29:505 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - could look much better, even shapes like 00:50:714 (7) - could look cleaner. Then there's a few things like inconsistencies with stream spacing like 00:59:644 (5,6,7,8,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is probably the highest stream spacing in the entire map even compared to the guitar solo section for example. I think now that you have the general idea of the map down all you need to work on is cleaning up a lot of these inconsistencies and the map in general and then rehitsounding and bam quality dragonforce map. Hope this doesn't seem rude by the way that's not my intention.

OK biggest concern right now is your hitsounds are WAY wrong lol. You're using soft addition and on top of that using claps to (sort of) follow the guitar I think? but then after that in parts like 00:25:040 - it doesn't follow anything really it's like it's trying to map to the drums but the drums are every 2nd and 4th tick not every 1st and third tick.

Dragonforce maps are all pretty much the same in terms of hitsounds. Basically normal sampleset for everything else and normal whistle to compliment the lead guitar and vocals. Sometimes you can use drum samples and normal claps on the 2nd and 4th beat if you really want to as well. I highly suggest you check out other ranked dragonforce maps to get an idea of how everyone else has hitsounded theirs (they're all pretty much the same so) but as it stands this is very empty and what is hitsounded isn't right so.

TL;DR: Switch to normal additions remove every clap and re-hitsound. Check other DF maps if you need inspiration. Trust me it'll be way better. (Here's a short hitsound sample I did in like a minute lol just go give you an idea)
Hitsounds really sounds nice to me, if someone other will notice it as "WAY wrong" - I`ll change it.

01:26:435 (1,1,1,1) - remove NCs from the last 3. Actually wherever you do this just remove them lol there's a lot more ahead. I`ll keep that too.
01:48:203 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - Here it's fine though because of the increasing spacing but you could still remove them so people can see the followpoints. And this too :p

02:08:295 - Personally I can see these parts having higher slider velocity but it's not a big deal. Would add a bit of intensity which the vocals offer. Seems already fine to me :/

03:04:109 (2,3) - Single notes here would be nicer. Considering this is a slow part the 1/2 slider sounds overmapped So it'd be better this being two 1/1 notes instead. It was as single notes, but idea with sliders fits me more here.

03:04:667 (1) - Also this could look a bit nicer and flow to (2) better. Fixed :D (Thanks, Frederik, you are the genious <3

03:19:458 (1,2,1,2) - Don't do that. It's still a pretty slow part with buildup. People don't wanna read in these parts they'd rather single tap 3 notes or hold a 1/2 slider with reverse for example instead of having to alternate to a weird rhythm. Fixed :)

03:27:830 (5,6) - Might be better as a long slider since right now the spacing from 5 to 6 is very similar to the one from 4 to 5 except it's not 1/1 I can`t see there a long slider, sorry :(

03:39:133 (7,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Don't really see much of a reason to have stream jumps personally but even so they flow very poorly as they are. Here is my #proillustration of what this part does (shoutout to Jenny) I`ll still keep it.

Basically you have stream flow (red) then a sharp jump (yellow) onto the next stream this is not bad in itself but it's HOW you have to snap basically you're going up then sharply jump down then go back up slowly then shap jump to the right and going up again it's not a natural snap as players usually expect for these kinds of things. Also considering it's the first time you have these and this late in the song means a lot of ppl will be pissed. Highly suggest revising this, probably better off not having the jumps in the first place imo.

03:45:970 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Same as above. Also for reference compared to that things like 03:47:644 (2,3,4,5) - are way too easy so that's not very consistent. ^

03:56:016 (1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,1,1) - This could've been really cool if it was mapped a bit like this (messy example but basically this rhythm so you're fingers are kinda streaming to the guitar which is a nice effect. Looks wierd to me.

04:38:435 (1,2) - no reason to make this a 3/4 slider. Would be better off as a 1/2 slider without the end muted so it follows the rhythm better. Seems nice to me.


Anyway those were just a few general points. The idea and theme is there but I feel overall the map could be a lot cleaner. Things like 00:33:133 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - or 03:29:505 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - could look much better, even shapes like 00:50:714 (7) - could look cleaner. Then there's a few things like inconsistencies with stream spacing like 00:59:644 (5,6,7,8,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is probably the highest stream spacing in the entire map even compared to the guitar solo section for example. I think now that you have the general idea of the map down all you need to work on is cleaning up a lot of these inconsistencies and the map in general and then rehitsounding and bam quality dragonforce map. Hope this doesn't seem rude by the way that's not my intention.

03:39:481 the direction the streams go here are pretty much unplayable, it would be luck rather than skill to pass them. Reading the change in positions of the stream would be pretty difficult even for a good HR player (somebody prove me wrong?).

Alright, after 9 month pause, it`s now back. I remaped everything, added new background picture and some custom hitsounds. Ready for modding :roll:

Saw this in modreq so here it goes

Call of Bravery
  1. 00:12:342 (4,5) - really unexpected big jump here coming from the previous similar sections and a harder to aim pattern, would reduce this a bit
  2. 00:12:760 (1,2,1,2,3,4) - maybe add a custom drum hitsound or something in the diff aswell? Kinda stood out when playing when you get these drum focused parts like here it still sounds the same as the rest of the map and makes it kinda harder to get into the rythm, but might be just me like 00:21:691 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - here aswell it would make it easier to stream since you kinda hear the drums a lot better and when to switch
  3. 00:14:993 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - not gonna be played the way you intented it to be played with smooth curves and all because of the slider leniency, basicly plays like 3 linear lines which kinda bad currently, replacing 4 so it blankets 3 already helpls a lot but would look into this pattern a bit more
  4. 00:19:040 (4) - maybe place a bit to the right so its more in the flow and it reduces that sudden huge jump a bit
  5. 00:22:807 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - maybe soft hitsounds for these? kinda loud af atm for just a piano with the normals :/

How it is a Dragonforce's song,you should put in the clap hitsound in the red stick.(Except from 02:54:621 (1) - until 03:31:458 (1) )
Use slider tick rate in 2 and add clap hitsound( copying the normal-hitclap.wav and rename like normal-slidertick.wav but don't delete the your actual normal-slidertick.wav) inside the sliders tick only the red stick(inside the fast part)

Because I'm nice, and don't have a map for M4M, I'll do this NM for you as requested ;3

  • - 00:08:156 (6) - Move this to x:356 y:28 so you don't need to have that off-stacking.
    and after that you can move 00:08:295 (1) - down to x:308 y:184 so it goes along with the two upcoming sliders (since thats what i belive you wanted to do)

    - 00:12:202 (3,2) - Stack these, makes it look better

    - 00:13:877 (1,1,2,3,4,5) - I think this is a better structure https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6231746

    - 01:04:667 (1,2) - This flow isn't comfortable. I'd rather have (2) go to the left so it wont overlap with the previous long slider either. I saw you used this flow later on in the map, but here it wont do so good.

    - 01:05:226 (1,1) - Blanket

    - 01:31:458 (1,2,3,4) - I'd think this would look better https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6231804

    - 01:43:458 (1,1) - Did you want to blanket this? Not that big of a deal in my book. But I'm assuming others will point it out.

Well, I said I'll try my best to give some feedback with my limited knowledge (in short, the really pointless details that no one else found problematic), so I apologize if I misread an intention (note placement, pattern choice, etc), or i'm just repeating stuff other's have said. Anyways... how do these codes work....
My opinions and crappy ideas :/
00:22:807 - I believe someone mentioned this, but the positioning is just a tad off. I think it will look nicer moved a tiny bit to the right. It doesn't have to be directly under the 8, but just a bit closer to it.

00:33:621 - Did you update this beatmap and put a note here?? I marked this spot off as it was missing a note, and I wasn't sure if it was intended or not, but I just wanted to point it out again.

00:46:249 I marked this timing again for a missing note in stream... I guess the map was updated...

01:21:272 - This is 100% opinion, but the end of the slider just looks funky to me...

02:36:690 - Personally not a fan of this pattern. I don't know why, maybe cause i suck at this game, but the pattern just feels really awkward to play. Here's this stupid idea I had, https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6248991, but if no one else found this to be an issue, then rip me. noob issues

03:51:550 - To me, these triplets don't fit well here. If you're mapping to the guitar, I think a stream will fit much better since the guitar is still playing between those triplets you have.

04:03:550 - I feel like your 1 and 2 sliders are facing the wrong way. But maybe that's common in 6*+ maps.

04:11:643 - Just like that first comment i made, the reverse slider after the steam looks really off to me. A very slight movement to the left might ease my mind...

That was my noob "mod" (if you even want to call it that) and those were my opinions. All in all, I was probably being stupid and said somethings that didn't make sense. But anyways, gl with the map. I can't wait for it to get ranked!

Ps. I hope to hell my timing points are linked..... or i'll just look even dumber.

hi there, from my queue. you were request #28 with a priority of 20, this is mod #8. (those numbers should tell you a bit about how much the song/map matters in my queue xd)

shitty htnf play cos i'm slow

not too much to say except nitpicking and i'm not too good at that so don't expect too much from this

  1. dragonforce drums are fast, having the claps on the red ticks would match the song, having them in a slower rhythm than the song feels a bit off - you get triples of snares between the hitounded claps and the snares in the song which is just weird. pretty much the only major problem as far as i'm concerned.
  2. 00:35:086 (1) - slider shape seems a bit out of place in the middle of almost only simple curves, either use more of this type of slider or make this a simpler shape
  3. 01:02:993 (1,1) - clean up the blanketing/interaction between these two
  4. 01:05:226 (1) - remove the white node in between the two red ones, just makes it look worse and the sliderball path looks weird too when it goes back for a bit
  5. 02:29:504 (1) - clean up that loop, it's not even symmetrical
  6. 02:46:807 (1) - not a big fan of that little wiggle at the end, maybe something more like this idk i suck at sliders ok why am i only pointing out sliders
  7. 03:37:458 (4) - having these as circles would be cool since the staccato sounds a lot different to 03:36:342 (4) - (if you can find a way to make it easily readable, but since it's the same rhythm as before that should be doable)
  8. 03:43:737 (1,2,3,7,8,9) - i think you could distinguish these more from the other triple patterns since the slide on the lead guitar really stands out, space them out or something. also i think making 03:44:016 (4,5,6) - parallel would look nicer
  9. 04:19:458 (1) - as with one of the othes before i don't really like the wiggle at the end
can't really find too much except nitpicking sliders so i'll just give you a star cause nice map

00:04:947 (1,2,5,6) - You do an overlap thing that you proceed never to do again consistently. I would recommend either to keep in mind where these overlaps were in the structure of the measure and repeat those throughout the map, or do the opposite and remove them.

00:06:342 (2,1,1) - As above, this is a little different but the same should really apply.

00:06:621 (3) - Why different slider shape? Doesn't really belong here...

00:09:133 (1) - Lasse slider TM lasse will now proceed to sue you for using trademarked property.

00:13:877 (1) - This section kinda comes off as a surprise like "oh now the map's about blankets everywhere?"

00:31:737 (1) - Starting from this section all sliders end on the wrong location so... RIP

00:38:156 (4,5,6,7) - Stuff like this doesn't really belong in the respective aesthetic style you have established so far.

00:42:900 (1) - This section is WAY too calm for what the song shows. Your map makes this out to be an extremely easy section, which goes hard on any structure shown in the map.

00:53:365 (2,1) - Again, not consistent with your current aesthetic style.

I can tell the same error is repeated throughout the map, try to polish all these issues out throughout the entire map, and if I successfully make it into BNG I will recheck.
