I couldn't really get into this game that much. I have a collective like 200 hours, but most of it is afk in the launcher :/ probably played a solid 70ish. League just grasps my attention unlike any other moba.
It's okay. Some people just have terrible taste.

LoL is like 10 times easier to get into than Dota. I wonder what could be done to make the entry barrier of Dota lower without making the game stale.

The same thing could be said about Chess and Draughts/Checkers, it's 10 times easier to get into Draughts/Checkers, what should we do to chess to make the entry barrier lower? Nothing.

They've added:
- In-game guides telling you how to play a hero, which skills to level at which level, and what items to get at certain points in the game.
- An in-depth tutorial teaching you everything you need to know
- A coaching feature. Making it possible for seasoned players to teach their new friends how to play by giving them private in-game chat, the ability to point out stuff in the UI and making it possible to scribble things on the map and minimap.
- A limited hero pool mode, so that new people do not get overwhelmed by the 100+ heroes that all play and look differently. Shielding the new players of thinking that they have to learn all those heroes by heart just to be able to play the game.

If anything, they went the extra mile and beyond to make this game new-player friendly. I now find it possible to recommend this game to friends without them going to drown in it.

After 2 weeks of playing and watching, Phoenix is going to be a really strong offlaner. He can support but he needs the levels too bad. Plus he's not the best ganker (though he can). He's still good at turning around dives too specially in the early-mid game if he has success in offlane (only need levels, items don't matter).

I think Bulba will be the first player to fiend it.
beware for lifestealer

*hates his rage when I'm using phoenix's ult
it's all about positioning and using your ult at the right time. I'm almost at 60% winrate with this hero now after going 0-9 ROFL

Guys, how do I dota?
I have a good enough knowing of the theory, but not sure how to train.(items, skills, commands, pulling, creep blocking, vision; these things I know/can do fairly well)
These days I finally decided to learn dota for good, so far going fairly well.

At the very least, how productive it is to play with someone who is better than you?(on your team and against)
Played with a guy yesterday(3 games, was a full party), he was a good captain, but tended to call everyone an idiot for any error, expecting everyone to be perfectly coordinated. What I would get from this?

Not trying to be a crybaby, but I don't see this as being particularly productive. I could be doing other things... And muting the guy means i won't hear when he is indeed giving good advice.

TY I think '-'
Remco32
Play with friends, enjoy the game. There's no need to train yourself, you'll pick up techniques along the way.
Tshemmp
He may be a good player but if he is always flaming you it is stupid to play with him imo. I'd prefer playing with bad but nice people over playing with good but unmannered people. There are also players who are good at the game and don't immediatly rage if you make a mistake, maybe you can find one of those to play with.

All the things that I know of dota came from playing WITH and AGAINST people who were like 10 times better than me at that moment. I know I'm not the greatest player, but at least i managed to get 4k MMR rating, since you are from Brazil and you play on the SA server, add me on steam and maybe we can play some games.

Play in team, you'll learn a lot.

TY guys, I will try to find guys who aren't as angry as that. Friendly and good player. Are they orb effects?

Added you druidxd, just I won't be able to play these days, going on a trip in 5 hours (I should be sleeping...) :/
I must be free on thursday.

As in full party? Yeah, the games were harder and more organized, from now on I would like more of those IF the captain wasn't so angry. I remember one amazing game with a timbersaw mid(no trees there, how he did what he did... o.O), 2nd hardest game, 1st longest i've had(70min), but the whole time he made us laugh and maintaned us organized.
And the enemy got 4 linken spheres to counter our 600+dmg legion :? They kept putting it on their pro storm spirit, quite fun teamfights '-'

I've heard of this new alien technology called 'downloading', that eliminates the need for streaming because the data is already on your own computer.
Abaddon-ext
I've heard that this downloading doesn't work as well in slow internet

But anyway I've completed the download from preload
