  1. There are a lot of drum beats that you haven't hitsounded into the song. These play out on 00:09:916 (1,3,4) - the highlighted beats here. I highly recommend that you add these in as it's a vital part of the song.I'm not good at hitsounds, so, avoid superfluous i think
  2. 00:34:406 (1,2,3,4) - and 00:35:631 (1,2,3,4) - I'm not sure about the random increase in spacing here. The song doesn't get any more intense, so there's no logic behind making it more spaced. I suggest reducing the spacing here to keep in line with previous patterns.
  3. 00:39:304 (1) - There's a cymbal sound here, so a finish should be placed to represent it here. Also in this part, every downbeat there seems to be a piano sound which can be represented by a whistle.
  4. 02:17:263 (1) - Again, some of the downbeats here have a nice low piano sound which hasn't been emphasised enough. I would suggest adding hitsounds here to represent it.

Mapping-wise, there's nothing wrong. You just need to put some more work into your hitsounds. Good luck.

柑橘各种排版可以再设计一下,目前的好像有点简单了。

02:17:263 (1) - 感覺有點坑,突然變小間距然後就斷combo了,還是保持相同space吧
03:37:161 (4,5,6) - 稍微美觀一點 : 03:39:610 (4) - 04:36:243 (1) - 同Combo的顏色間距建議相等

the only thing i was a bit sad about is that you miss out so many opportunities to highlight this song in terms of hitsounding, currently the way you hitsound the whole map is very minimalistic and you could have created even more impressions with hitsounding imo

also either i'm deaf or the 1/12 sliderspam section sounds much better as just 1/6 sliders

So I came for the song, but after playing through I need to say a few things:

First of all, why is everything in the intro in straight rhythms? You're obviously following the drums, except that you're not on the right snap. I know that you know it's not the right snap too, since you got it correct at 00:39:304 -

Hitsounding is damned near non-existent due to incredibly low volume which is a pity since this song really gives you a lot to work with. If you could hear the hitsounds at all, you could easily tell that a significant portion of the map isn't snapped correctly.

01:18:488 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6) - is pretty much the exact same rhythm. Which is overmapped to boot. Please try some rhythmic diversity.

01:33:335 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - And now you suddenly decided to stop following the song again and go with 1/2 rhythms instead of swinging?
01:37:161 (2,3,4,5,6) - Can you really tell these are normal-hitnormals? I sure can't.

Seriously? The first chorus is pretty much a repeat of what happened at 01:18 except it's all sliders now instead of mixing between circles and sliders. The other chorus also suffers from this.

03:16:039 - Now that we finally came to the part that is easily the best place for use of kiai time, it's missing plus the part to play is incredibly anti-climactic. This is the huge reveal. Juliet just found out Romeo is dead. Luke Skywalker just found out he kissed his sister. Let's play short stubby sliders! I dunno, more of a rant than a real mod for this, but I was really disappointed with it.

Please look into making the map a bit more interesting rhythmically and a bit more balanced difficulty-wise. Right now it's a bit of a mess and needs some work beyond the technical problems.

Hi! On behalf of quite a few people I know, I am going over this map for you. You might want to find a good chinese to english translator to help you out with this mod, as it is very full of words and I am very bad at speaking in plain, easily-translatable ways.

I am not doing this to be mean, but to try to attempt to explain what parts of this map are "Bad Quality". It is important for mappers to know that they are doing things incorrectly or in ways that can be improved with a little bit of effort and a lot of love for music.

Please note that this does not include infringing on your "style". There are many ways to make your maps neater and more visually appealing without changing object placement all that much at all!

(Although, looking at the map, you don't appear to have any style at all. Or if you do, please change that style because it is bad.)

Luminous
  1. Your hitclap custom hitsound appears to be much louder in the Left channel than the Right! This is clearly unintended.
  2. Please change your habit of using Small gridsnap. This ruins your map because you cannot make everything even and your patterns will not be clean. At the very least, use Tiny so that any small errors are hard to notice.
  3. Almost all of your curved sliders look bad. They do not curve comfortably at all, overlap in ugly ways, don't blanket when they try to go around other notes, and in general they can pretty much all do with being redone.
  4. Your streams need major work. They bend at random points. Generally, if you want a stream to change directions, it is best to do so on a white tick, or, in rare cases such as this very low bpm map, a red tick. You don't want them changing direction anywhere else.
  5. With the exception of a single 1/8 stream about 2/3rds into the map, this entire track is in 1/6 metronome. Please remap all of the sections in which you use 1/4 with this in mind. Note that most of the calm sections do not have any sounds anywhere except on white and red ticks. You have to follow the music. Even Miku's vocals are following a 1/6 signature.
  6. 00:11:753 (5,6,1) - Because of your use of grid snap, these combos are not actually parallel to each other. A good way to make combos like this is to make the entire combo vertically first, and then rotate it afterwards to be at an angle. This goes for your entire map, I will not point out every single case in which this happens as I do not have the time. Just know that this happens every like three seconds in the areas where you use these patterns.
  7. 00:45:733 (7) - This slider's end is snapped to 1/4 when the rest of the section uses 1/3!!! Not there there are actually any noises on either 1/4 or 1/3 in most of this section, but consistency is vital.
  8. 00:56:600 (2) - This is placed on a 1/4 tick when the actual beat in the song is on 1/3!!!
  9. 00:57:365 (5) - This slider end should be snapped to 1/3! and for the sake of consistency, 00:57:059 (4) - should be as well!
  10. 01:34:253 (3,1,2,3,4,5) - All of these notes should be snapped to 1/3 timing!!!
  11. 01:37:161 (2,3,4,5,6) - The beats for this drumroll are in 1/3 timing, not 1/8!!!
  12. Hey, the whole "notes get softer and then loud and softer" bit is pretty neat. Good job! But why didn't you do it anywhere else?
  13. 02:51:396 (5) - Please be sure that notes are snapped to the correct timing signature. In the future of this post, if I link an object and provide no explanation, it is because it is snapped to 1/4 but should be 1/3 or vice versa.
  14. From 03:16:039 - to 03:33:182 - I shouldn't need to explain why this is bad. But if I do, here you go: There are no instruments or anything here for you to be using these weird 1/6 sliders for. Do something else.
  15. 03:35:325 (10) - Is this really snapped to 1/12? There is nothing in the music to warrant this being a slider. It can just be a circle.
  16. 03:36:549 (4) - ^
  17. 03:37:467 (1,2,3,4) - ^^^
  18. 03:40:121 (3) - You get the idea.
  19. 03:53:156 (2,3,4,5) - This is 3 notes, not 4. Listen carefully at 25%.
  20. 04:53:080 (2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6) - This is too much.

@Garven AIR compensates for the song's repetitive rhythms with diverse and expressive cursor movements. Adding in "more interesting rhythms" would just clutter things up and make the map a pain to play. The early doubles are a similar thing, and there's no real overmapping there, most beats have 1/6 in them, so just using doubles through the whole section fits well, and once again, allows all emphasis to be put on the cursor. It's well thought out, and fun to play, at least to me.

@Shiirn Seriously? The curved sliders are pure joy to play, why would you ever want to change them. This map has a consistent aesthetic style the entire way through, asking to change that is just overriding the mapper's style. (And honestly, I think the slider arrangements are really pretty so...)
And you're just completely wrong about a lot of your snapping comments. A lot of the song is 1/8.

It's cool to see people wanting to help out and all, but these comments aren't actually helpful.

@AIR please please please stick with this map, it's amazing.

It needs to be disqualified anyway due to real technical problems.

03:50:325 (1) - 1/16, was supposed to be 1/12.

We should wait for disqualify and for the mapper to respond to the current mods, no need for more mods right now.

There is a lot of room for rhythmical improvement, might aswell try and get it into a better state when it gets disqualified.
