Thanks for your post I was worried about my client and beapmaps I had 
It seems my osu was around 3 months outdated before downloading the new .exe, why was this a problem to begin with?
If I'm not mistaken there is one specific build that got released that couldn't update. While this was fixed very soon after, the few people that were on this build and didn't manually update basically got stuck on it, which is what happened to you guys.TheHoboChris wrote:

Mine is outdated too, i can't even change the resolution because it's out of range, and 'repair osu!' is gone too.YoNiko wrote:
