2016-01-08 17:48 Glitter Goose: these monsters
2016-01-08 17:48 Glitter Goose: id do something different with those sliders lol
2016-01-08 17:48 Glitter Goose: you have so many things
2016-01-08 17:49 Glitter Goose: you could make those sliders without so many ticks or w/e
2016-01-08 17:49 Glitter Goose: 02:02:726 (2) -
2016-01-08 17:49 Glitter Goose: that was weird on HR because of the 2 and 3 spacing is different than the other notes
2016-01-08 17:50 Glitter Goose: 02:11:708 (3) -
2016-01-08 17:50 Glitter Goose: all of this section could be a lot more fun if you do like
2016-01-08 17:50 Glitter Goose: non stacks and kick sliders n shit
2016-01-08 17:50 Glitter Goose: upto u tho
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: yea those monsters are disgustin
2016-01-08 17:51 Glitter Goose: 02:18:337 (6) -
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: sorry was answerin doorbell
2016-01-08 17:51 Glitter Goose: if you change slider velocity to 1 these will play better
2016-01-08 17:51 Glitter Goose: np
2016-01-08 17:51 Glitter Goose: change to 1 and then shorten them I mean
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: 02:11:708 (3) -
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: yea i def agree
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: tbh
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: its too easy there
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: maybe
2016-01-08 17:51 Neurofunk: idk
2016-01-08 17:52 Neurofunk: slider velocity to 1 for the whole kiai or just those notes?
2016-01-08 17:52 Neurofunk: cos i like the kiai on that velocity
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: eh just make the kick sliders all slider velocity 1 I think
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: they seem too long
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: all the other sliders play fine
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: 02:35:429 (7) -
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: this slider
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: is awkward
2016-01-08 17:53 Glitter Goose: because you follow it down and then the stream starts to the right
2016-01-08 17:54 Glitter Goose: you could make it go down and right instead of down and left or something
2016-01-08 17:54 Neurofunk: actually yea
2016-01-08 17:54 Neurofunk: thats kinda fucked
2016-01-08 17:54 Glitter Goose: it doesn't have to touch the stream but it should point in the direction of the stream imo
2016-01-08 17:54 Neurofunk: yea
2016-01-08 17:54 Neurofunk: down and right would work better
2016-01-08 17:54 Glitter Goose: 02:36:650 (1) -
2016-01-08 17:55 Neurofunk: i did that just to punctuate the 808 sound
2016-01-08 17:55 Neurofunk: its a very weird slider
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: well
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: sec
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: http://puu.sh/mogkK/c6ab5c3566.jpg
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: something like that works better
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: but also
2016-01-08 17:55 Glitter Goose: you have the same problem as me
2016-01-08 17:56 Glitter Goose: people complain about it for some reason when I link maps with messy sliders
2016-01-08 17:56 Glitter Goose: you use so many ticks to make your shapes
2016-01-08 17:56 Glitter Goose: you could make that slider if you delete half the things
2016-01-08 17:56 Glitter Goose: but ya mappers always tell me not to do that
2016-01-08 17:56 Glitter Goose: so maybe you shouldn't too ;D
2016-01-08 17:58 Glitter Goose: 02:49:905 (2) -
2016-01-08 17:58 Glitter Goose: if on this stream you select all of it and ctrl shift + S
2016-01-08 17:58 Glitter Goose: increase the spacing on it
2016-01-08 17:58 Glitter Goose: so it isn't so cramped
2016-01-08 17:58 Glitter Goose: or something, idk
2016-01-08 18:00 Glitter Goose: 04:08:743 (1) -
2016-01-08 18:00 Glitter Goose: this pattern I think you should make the slider get further and further away from the single tap each time rather than the opposite
2016-01-08 18:01 Glitter Goose: the overlapping slider is weird as fk to play
2016-01-08 18:02 Glitter Goose: 04:29:325 (1) -
2016-01-08 18:03 Glitter Goose: 04:42:232 (1) - these are really clumped and it makes it hard to read/play
2016-01-08 18:03 Glitter Goose: 04:47:202 (1) - this is underneath the stream so it's hard to read or w/e
2016-01-08 18:04 Glitter Goose: 04:49:121 (1) - weird spacing
2016-01-08 18:04 Glitter Goose: ^ at the start of the stream only, the rest of the stream is fine
2016-01-08 18:05 Glitter Goose: 04:58:452 (8) - this feels like it goes backwards
2016-01-08 18:05 Glitter Goose: 05:00:807 (5) - make the stream hug the slider a bit less or something, it hides the stream so it's a bit weird
2016-01-08 18:05 Neurofunk: sorry my presence was required once again
2016-01-08 18:05 Neurofunk: but now i will look at this
2016-01-08 18:06 Neurofunk: yea idk some of these sliders are from a much more tick spamming time
2016-01-08 18:06 Glitter Goose: 05:30:894 (1) - this is really fucked up, the slider is too long so it goes over the timing point it should end on I guess
2016-01-08 18:07 Glitter Goose: and that's it, but once again im pretty shit at mapping
2016-01-08 18:07 Glitter Goose: so get some other opinions

Hello, M4M from my queue.

AIMod:
- 1 unsnapped kiai start.
- 2 unsnapped kiai ends.

Paralysis
- First thing I'm noticing is that you're NC patterns seem very random and aren't following any sort of pattern from what I can see. The general rule of thumb is to have a NCs on downbeats (large white ticks) with strong beats on, but you're constantly switching between NCs on white ticks, red ticks, and even a couple of blue ticks. The lengths of your combos aren't consistent either, and so you crate very short combos in the middle of melodies for no apparent reason.
Some examples: 00:14:151 (1,2) - 00:41:011 (1,2,3,4,5) - 00:43:366 (1) - 00:51:825 (1,2) - 00:56:011 (1) - 01:22:872 (1,2,3) - 02:08:220 (1) - 02:13:452 (1) - 03:04:557 (1,2) -
I would highly recommend going through and redoing your NCs through the map so that they follow some coherent pattern that accompanies the music.
- 00:05:604 (5,6) - The flow of this could be improved. You're asking the player to firstly do a horizontal right-to-left slider, and then do a cross-screen jump to the right side to do another R2L slider. This jagged sort of flow, especially with slider, isn't very intuitive to play, and I would recommend something else that connects the sliders better.
- 00:12:930 (5) - I'm noticing a lot of these wave slider throughout your map, and how they're not really well made. Wave sliders should ideally be (rotationally) symmetrial whereas most of these are not and it ruins how they look in my opinion. This thread has some useful information about constructing slider shapes.
- 00:20:081 (2,3) - This seems kind of random. For this sort of beat, you've so far used triples, and then you use this rhythm only once where there seems to be no reason to. I would stick with continuing to use triples or use more of these patterns through this section of the map.
- 00:28:017 (6) - This triple isn't really needed since there's nothing in the music that indicated having this blue tick note be here, and the rhythm doesn't flow very well.
- 00:32:901 (11) - Same thing here.
- 00:42:581 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - The curves of this stream don't seem very smooth. It kind of looks more like a squashed oval rather than a smooth circular shape. A good way to construct streams is to create a slider, and then use the convert-slider-to-stream function (Ctrl+Shift+F).
- 00:54:616 (2) - The music definitely does not suggest a stream here, and this is a clear case of overmapping.
- 01:17:988 (1) - This slider just doesn't look good in my opinion, you could definitely do better. The red point isn't necessary, for a start.
- 01:25:837 (7,1) - Kind of similar to the flow I pointed out earlier.
- 01:35:081 - This timing point isn't necessary.
- 01:39:441 (1) - The pattern of this stream just looks messy in my opinon. If you're going to make these stream increase in spacing, I would keep increasing it at a constant rate rather than what you have here where you increase the spacing for 01:40:138 (9) and then reduce it back to the regular stack again.
- 01:58:976 (2) - This slider needs cleaning up, especially the tail section. There isn't a need for all of those slider points, and it makes the slider ball move in weird ways.
- 02:09:441 (2,1) - This stack looks messy and is confusing to read the timing of.
- 02:11:185 (2,3) - Similar sort of thing here.
- 02:23:656 (6,7,8,9) - Also kind of overmapped in my opinion.
- 02:33:859 (1) - More overmapped streams. There isn't anything significant enough on the blue ticks to warrant something like this.
- 02:42:929 (4) - I'll stop pointing out sliders after this, but quite a few of them, like this, either just don't look very good, or like this one follow very unusual paths which is awkward for the player to follow.
- 03:02:638 (4) - Also overmapped.
- 03:20:778 (1,2) - The auto-stacking kind of messed up here.
- 03:48:511 (5) - Is this necessary? I don't feel like there's anything in the music to continue the jump pattern like this.
- 04:02:290 (3) - These 90 degree sliders don't look particularly nice and aren't the best flow to play, I would recommend something else.
- 04:36:650 (1) - From this point on, you mapped what seems to be a deathstream section, which to me feels overmapped and very forced. There may be some beats on the blue ticks along this section, but not on all of them, and a deathstream feels like way too much for this section despite the increased intensity in the music. I would recommend slowing the music down so you can hear the notes properly, and split the streams up so that they map the most signfiicant sounds in the song, rather than forcing excessively long streams.
- 05:35:255 (1) - Kinda unecessary in my opinion. The music is pretty much silent after 05:35:255 and what sound there is doesn't really need to be mapped in my opinion.

Good luck.

Gonna do this a bit later today when I've made some more general corrections to the map.

This jagged sort of flow, especially with slider, isn't very intuitive to play, and I would recommend something else that connects the sliders better. I agree, fixed.

Wave sliders should ideally be (rotationally) symmetrial whereas most of these are not and it ruins how they look in my opinion. This thread has some useful information about constructing slider shapes. I know what you mean, but I like this slider here so I'ma keep this one. Might change others.
- 00:20:081 (2,3) - This seems kind of random. For this sort of beat, you've so far used triples, and then you use this rhythm only once where there seems to be no reason to. - 00:28:017 (6) - This triple isn't really needed since there's nothing in the music that indicated having this blue tick note be here, and the rhythm doesn't flow very well. Works well, this is a harder diff and I'm increasing difficulty.

- 01:25:837 (7,1) - Kind of similar to the flow I pointed out earlier. Yeah, I'm reworking this at the moment. good point

Yeah, need to clean this up. good suggestion

- 02:09:441 (2,1) - This stack looks messy and is confusing to read the timing of. eh, i think it's aite but I wanna change this part anyway.
- 02:11:185 (2,3) - Similar sort of thing here. ^
- 02:23:656 (6,7,8,9) - Also kind of overmapped in my opinion. imo it's fine
- 02:33:859 (1) - More overmapped streams. There isn't anything significant enough on the blue ticks to warrant something like this. Disagree
- 02:42:929 (4) - I'll stop pointing out sliders after this, but quite a few of them, like this, either just don't look very good, or like this one follow very unusual paths which is awkward for the player to follow.
- 03:02:638 (4) - Also overmapped. Agreed, going to change.

- 03:48:511 (5) - Is this necessary? I don't feel like there's anything in the music to continue the jump pattern like this. yep.
- 04:02:290 (3) - These 90 degree sliders don't look particularly nice and aren't the best flow to play, I would recommend something else. Agreed, been meaning to remove these for a lil while.
- 04:36:650 (1) - From this point on, you mapped what seems to be a deathstream section, which to me feels overmapped and very forced. I would recommend slowing the music down so you can hear the notes properly, and split the streams up so that they map the most signfiicant sounds in the song, rather than forcing excessively long streams. Disagree, I'll break up some of the patterns and make them a bit less intense but I feel like the music (definitely in terms of melody) and the climactic section of the map allows for them both.
- 05:35:255 (1) - Kinda unecessary in my opinion. The music is pretty much silent after 05:35:255 and what sound there is doesn't really need to be mapped in my opinion. There is a final noise here that I kinda felt like concluding on, I'm not sure though. i'll think bout it

Good luck.
Thank you, great mod and greatly appreciated. Gonna be doing some more general work to it in the next couple days so keep eyes open.

Paralysis

  1. The timing points up until the kiai time (until 00:45:023) should all be soft hitsounds, with a volume of 40~60%. Currently it is too loud.
  2. 00:22:697 (2) - Can introduce a new timing point with +10~15% volume or maybe even normal hitsounds, try it for yourself
  3. 00:01:244 (6,8) - Issues occur throughout map where the strong part of a beat is on the slider end. Use a circle for these. There are more examples. You have done it correctly here: 00:03:163 (7,8) -
  4. 00:02:290 (1,2,3) - This sounds like a 5 note stream to me
  5. 00:02:726 (4) - There is no noise here. Try this, it sounds better to me

  6. 00:03:163 (8) - nc
  7. 00:03:860 (1) - remove nc
  8. 00:07:872 (5,6,7) - personally i don't like this overlap with 00:07:349 (3) -, looks messy
  9. 00:09:267 (2) - strong note on blue tick, try a repeat slider
  10. 00:09:965 (4,5) - okay, strong note on the red and blue ticks. try this?

  11. 00:22:000 (5,6,7,8,9,1) - alright, so, there is a 5-note here but you've started it too early. It starts on 00:22:174 (7) -. In particular there being no note between 00:22:349 (9,1) - plays awkwardly
  12. 00:33:685 (4,5,6) - personally don't like this overlap
  13. 00:41:709 (1) - spaced too far from the rest of the stream
  14. 00:42:581 (1,2,3,4) - ahhhhhhhhhh overlap
  15. 00:44:674 (7,1) - note missing on blue tick plays awkwardly
  16. 01:05:256 (9) - nc
  17. 01:05:430 (1) - remove nc
  18. 01:26:360 (1,2) - blanket
