Personally I think the Error diff needs quite a lot to be improved so I just mod some general issues and this diff.

[General]
  1. Combo color: Only samplefish's Insane is different from other diffs. Is it on purpose or just forgot to unify?
  2. Unused hitsounds: {drum-hitwhistle2.wav} {normal-slidertick3.wav}. Please remove them.
  3. NC problems in Error diff is quite serious. I could hardly understand why you add nc or why not. Try to keep them in consistent please. You could take samplefish's Insane as reference and see where and how he added nc.

[Error]
  1. 00:04:365 (3,1) - Swap nc? I see you add nc in 00:08:115 (1) - , so why not here as well?
  2. 00:04:599 - Better add a note here, cuz the piano tune here is quite loud and shouldn't be ignored imo.
  3. 00:17:490 (3,4) - hmm i think this pattern looks quite weird. Why not try something similar to 00:15:615 (1,2) - ? For example:
    And this pattern can also increase some distance in 00:17:958 (4,1) - , which should have a same distance with 00:18:427 (1,2,3,4) - .
  4. 00:19:365 (1) - add nc?
  5. 00:26:161 (5,6,7,1) - Try to make the ds equal here. That could not only make the distance consistent, but also make this part looks more well-order. For example, I keep all the distance in 1.2x:
  6. 00:27:568 (2,3,4) - I prefer not use notes here cuz I couldn't hear any music sound in 00:27:802 (3) - , so I hesitate if it's a little bit overmapped. Better try what you've done in 00:23:818 (2) - and change these three notes to a 1/1 slider.
  7. 00:32:255 (4) - Please avoid using reverse slider here, cuz 00:32:490 - is a really strong downbeat which needs to be emphasized by a note or something clickable. So you can try to add a note in 00:32:255 - then a 1/2 slider in 00:32:490 -
  8. 00:38:818 (2,1) - Blanket better
  9. 00:39:521 (1) - Remove nc
  10. 00:42:568 (3,4) - I think you need to increase the distance here if you choose to stack 00:42:333 (2,3) - . cuz the distance in 00:41:865 (1,2) - is 2.37x, but here in 00:42:568 (3,4) - , same 1/2 rhythm interval with only 1.49x distance.
  11. 00:44:208 (5,1) - Swap nc
  12. 00:45:849 (1,1) - Remove both of the nc. That nc spam is not necessary, players could read this pattern easily without nc as well.
  13. 00:47:490 (7,1) - Swap nc
  14. 00:48:427 (1) - Remove nc
  15. 00:48:896 (6,1) - This jump is too big. Move 00:49:365 (1) - to x256|y194 would be better imo.
  16. 00:54:521 (1,2) - Swap nc
  17. 00:55:927 (1) - Remove nc
  18. 01:00:029 (4,5) - Highly recommend you to follow the vocal here cuz vocal is quite a special here. It's really a pity if you ignore it and use 2 notes to follow the drumbeats. Why not try a 1/1 slider + note? I think that is more suitable.
  19. 01:02:490 (1) - Rotate this slider by 15° anti-clockwise on site to make a better shape pattern.
  20. 01:03:896 (2,3,4,5) - Flow it quite weird in this part. Try to fix like this:
  21. 01:06:240 (4,1) - Swap nc.
  22. 01:11:279 (2) - I can't hear any rhythm here in the music. So please remove this note. Take 01:09:286 (2,3) - as reference.
  23. 01:13:154 (4) - Same as above ^
  24. 01:13:740 (7) - nc
  25. 01:16:786 (7) - oh man please avoid using such a reverse slider here, especially in the highest diff. Actually it's a good place to put a little stream to make the map more enjoyable and challenging to play.
  26. 01:18:896 (2,3,4,5) - Flow is quite weird here. Try this?
  27. 01:20:771 (6) - ctrl+g for better flow?
  28. 01:39:638 (8) - Also I can't hear any rhythm here in music. Remove this note plz.

Please try to find more mods before ask BNs for checking, there still quite a lot of things could be improved in this diff.

I modded this map set twice without realizing. Hope this is useful.

00:52:177 (7,8,1) – I don’t think the spacing of these circles work very well. I personally dislike where circle 8 is located but you have a very consistent mapping style in this beatmap and that location would continue that continuity so instead I think you should increase the spacing between circle 8 and 00:53:115 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) -
01:04:365 (3,4,5,6,7) – I’m don’t think this section works but I see your trying to create variety in the patterns of the beatmap. I think you should find an alternative however.
01:10:224 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4) – I think you should lower the volume of the end of all the sliders here to better accompany the vocal instead of having a metronome like beat.
01:39:990 (1,2,3) – I think slider 3 should be under slider 1 and the end of slider 3 be moved more to the right to better mimic slider 1


Hard
00:23:115 (1) – This is a good opportunity to use a different sound such as drum to better accompany the music
00:26:865 (1,2,3) – Same with this ^
00:30:615 (1) – You could do the same for the entire section after here but that might make negatively affect the beatmap
00:28:271 (3) – You could change the slider velocity to 0.75 to better accompany with the music
00:32:958 (3,4) – I think the spacing between the two notes is a bit too far away based on listening to the vocal. But I can see you made a consistent map style throughout the beatmap so you could skip this.
00:41:865 (1,2,3) – I don’t think this section works very well. I think having circle 2 and 3 be a single slider be a better alternative
01:02:021 (4) – I think the beatmap would better follow the music if this slider had a faster velocity to signify the beginning of the chorus/kiai mode
01:39:990 (1) – You could change the sound of this slider to a drum perhaps? Alone with the other circles that follow with it that follow the drum noise

Couldn't find mistakes in this one so these are mostly me nitpicking.
* 00:17:490 (5) - This slider could blanket better.
* 00:43:271 (4) - ^
* 01:13:974 (1) - ^

Error
* 00:01:083 (3) - Move this up a little (something like Y260). 00:01:552 (2,3) and 00:02:255 (2,3) are not on the same Y axis, so why should 00:00:849 (2,3) be? I think it'll looks better that way.
* 00:21:708 (1) - Move this in a way that makes a diamond shape with 00:21:943 (2,3,4) , the note feels off with its placement.
* 00:23:818 (2) - does not blanket that well with 00:23:115 (1) and 00:24:521 (3), it doesn't look very good. I recommend you change it. (Don't forget to move 00:25:224 (1,2,3,4,5) and stack it with the slider if you change its position/curve)
* 00:29:677 (3) - Move this so it makes a square with 00:29:208 (1,2,4), the way it is now looks messy.
* 00:38:115 (1,2,1,2) - Blanket.
* 00:39:521 (1) - Remove NC.
* 00:43:271 (4) - You could blanket it better.
* 01:21:240 (1,2,3) - ^

  1. 00:49:365 (1,3) - this stack might be a bit confusing to the Easy player flow wise due to the repeated motion and stacks being quite difficult for the easy player to understand, here's a possible solution for you
  2. 01:11:396 (3,4) - watch your DS here
  3. 01:10:458 (2,5) - i cant tell if these are the same curve or not, but it really doesn't SEEM like they are so making them both a bit more curved might be a good solution to this

    the reason i only point out the one stack when it happens multiple times is the other stacks are easy to understand due to the structure of the map just to note

Normal

  1. 00:10:927 (6,7,1) - uneven shape, 00:11:865 (1) - is distance snapped further than the others
  2. 00:26:396 (5,1) - it is quite hard to see, but this blanket is off, try changing the shape of 00:26:865 (1) - to fix this
  3. 00:32:021 (4,5) - another blanket, to fix these more precisely ctrl g 00:32:021 (4) - and use the approach circle to blanket 00:32:958 (5) -
  4. 00:35:302 (2) - distance snap error
  5. 01:16:083 (2,3,4) - this flow might be a bit confusing to normal player due to the odd angle from 2 to 3
  6. 01:17:490 (4) - NC + no NC on 01:19:833 (1) : i see that other people have given you NC suggestions before but you need to be careful listening to all mods, the most important part of NCing is just picking one pattern of NCs and sticking to it :)
  7. 01:21:240 (3) - NC this to fit with the above and your NC structure is fixed just like that!
  8. 01:28:036 (3,4) - avoid doing stacks like this in lower difficulties (Easy/Normal) because repeats and sliders and stacks are all confusing things for newer players, and combining the 3 in this type of pattern is just too much for them to handle at this level

Hard

  1. 00:02:021 (3,4) - blanket
  2. 00:08:818 (2,3) - blanket
  3. 00:19:833 (1,1,1) - NCing all of these notes is quite unnecessary
  4. 00:35:302 (3,2) - fix stack
  5. 01:03:193 (4,1) - blanket
  6. 01:05:068 (1) - unnecessary NC, try not to randomly use NCs like this
  7. 01:21:943 (3,4) - blanket
  8. 01:22:177 (4) - also, NC here

Ky's Insane

  1. why is the spacing the exact same in every part of the map? if everything is incredibly high spaced, nothing has any emphasis
  2. this is also how i feel about every slider in the map feeling SO fast for the song
  3. 00:35:771 (4,1) - blanket
  4. 00:59:911 (2,3,4,5) - make them both stacked or both like the second one, or even expanding spacing, it just kind of looks funny this way
  5. 01:31:552 (4,1) - blanket
    individual feedback for you: the kiai is a pretty neat idea and i can tell you're trying your best but it definitely could have been executed a lot better, keep mapping and learning and you will see improvement

samplefish's Insane

  1. 00:12:802 (3,4) - this repeat rhythm ignores the most important sound of this whole segment, the 00:13:271 - which you need to find a way to make clickable for the rhythm to be good in my opinion
  2. 01:00:146 (5) - NC this for consistency with the stream NCing

    this diff is okay, a lot of your overlapping and structure feels completely random but that's something you'll improve with time

Error

  1. this difficulty also suffers from the same problem as Ky's Insane, where if everything is super spaced, basically nothing is emphasized, but to a lesser degree, examples include these expanding jumps in the opening 00:00:615 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) -
  2. 00:26:161 (5,6,7) - avoid using linear jump flow like this
  3. 00:38:818 (2,3) - if you're going to do stuff like this, stack the slider ends
  4. 00:44:208 (5,1) - swap NC and no NC

okay so the reason why most of these diff mods were pretty light is i'm going to write something big here at the end

so basically, there isn't a lot that's objectively wrong in your mapset: new modders and mappers can spam blanket and stack fixes to you, something i'm guilty of too in my very mod but it's all stuff that isn't exactly improving your map

what i'm gonna say first is don't give up, just to preface the next point

you're not going to be able to rank this map in its current state, not because it breaks ranking criteria but because it's just not a high or even mid tier quality map, and no amount of mods is going to fix that without a completely and total remap on basically everyone's part

that being said, don't give up mapping or anything like that, it's pretty clear you put a lot of effort into your map from all the pages of posts on this thread, but right now you still need to learn a lot of the basics of mapping

i'd recommend checking out pishi's videos on mapping which do a fantastic job of explaining the basics, you have a decent grasp on things but need more specific instruction, which means instead of searching for beginner modders to mod your maps and getting 100 posts on your map thread, you should personally message experienced mappers in irc, have them look at your maps and tell you exactly whats wrong with them on a subjective level so you can use that feedback to improve yourself as a mapper

okay so the reason why most of these diff mods were pretty light is i'm going to write something big here at the end

so basically, there isn't a lot that's objectively wrong in your mapset: new modders and mappers can spam blanket and stack fixes to you, something i'm guilty of too in my very mod but it's all stuff that isn't exactly improving your map

what i'm gonna say first is don't give up, just to preface the next point

you're not going to be able to rank this map in its current state, not because it breaks ranking criteria but because it's just not a high or even mid tier quality map, and no amount of mods is going to fix that without a completely and total remap on basically everyone's part

that being said, don't give up mapping or anything like that, it's pretty clear you put a lot of effort into your map from all the pages of posts on this thread, but right now you still need to learn a lot of the basics of mapping

i'd recommend checking out pishi's videos on mapping which do a fantastic job of explaining the basics, you have a decent grasp on things but need more specific instruction, which means instead of searching for beginner modders to mod your maps and getting 100 posts on your map thread, you should personally message experienced mappers in irc, have them look at your maps and tell you exactly whats wrong with them on a subjective level so you can use that feedback to improve yourself as a mapper

  1. 00:11:396 (7,8,1) - This may be quite unstructured by the differential intensity of the song track here. I wonder why 00:11:630 (8,1) - has a smaller distance spacing than 00:11:396 (7,8) - where actually (8) and (1) has more impact than the previous. So maybe swapping out the distance spacing for the emphasis would suffice this section, alike how you've done on 00:02:958 (2,3,4) - and/or 00:06:708 (2,3,4) - (Just using those parts in case you don't know, but maybe you could try another way around).
  2. 00:13:974 (6) - To be honest, this one seems really out of context when it comes up to rhythm composition. I'd suggest mapping this out with some circles for the density of the piano rather than adding a single slider just to fill up the rhythm. For short; replacing this slider into three circles, or circle + 1/2 slider, would follow the song track more correctly.
  3. 00:20:771 (3) - I don't really feel right about the rhythm here, which is pretty unwise of it. The downbeat on 00:21:240 - sounds really strong for a click rather than being lifted from holding a slider. So, either redoing this rhythm onto something a little different than the current, or simply Ctrl + G the three notes 00:20:771 (3,4,5) - in rhythm timeline for a comprehended rhythm following up the vocals accurately and stressing the downbeat much better.
  4. 00:22:177 (1) - Would wanted to know why this circle is spaced out a lot more than the previous ones bypassed despite the unexpected slider velocity changes. Sounds too similar to the part on 00:18:427 (1,2,3) -.
  5. 00:22:880 - Not needed of a circle here, isn't? Because hearing this part over and over seems to be missing some potentials. Maybe adding at least a circle here would help so.
  6. 00:38:115 (1,2,3) - Might be consistency-related, but I would really ask why the last two sliders' tails of these are stacked and along with the first one isn't. And putting off blankets aside, I would probably say... either (manual) stack their tails, or split them up for visibility and gameplay. In the alternative, you can freely overlap if fitting.
  7. 00:45:615 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - This whole track of the section is seriously forced by the looks of it. In spite of the song track starting to play the rides and hi-hats on the background music, it is way too much handling up the emphasis. And by telling that out, the distance spacing seems quite extended, and the next few parts are even lower than this whole section (e.g. 00:47:958 - or 00:50:302 -). I highly recommend redoing this part with a few 1/2 sliders or reduce the note density by equalizing the distance spacing like the rest of the next song tracks.
  8. 01:02:021 (6) - Not the best rhythm composition to display the sound of the song, but it only fits the vocals at least. Maybe giving it a try improving this part a little bit, something like [http://puu.sh/vPKMF/a055b655e7.jpg this] might represent the upcoming chorus/kiai much greater. It's an Insane difficulty, is it not?
  9. 01:08:818 (1,2) - The distance spacing here went suddenly too low while the track here is still continuously intensive. Like the rest of all notes in the whole chorus, extend the distance spacing here for it's kind of consistency.
  10. 01:22:177 (3) - Nearly the same thing for the strong downbeat before, but a slight change of it is the reverse arrow. As I can tell, the red tick on 01:22:880 - sounds promising for a circle. So you may need to redo this a little bit more over the rhythm by any means necessary. Still, that downbeat should probably be clicked alike before.

I would technically say about this map, it doesn't really need huge tons of mods just looking over the set. Recalling that it actually needs more polishing, and has quite a lot of room for improvements. I advise looking at your difficulties and recalibrate the aesthetics and playability of the map more frequently in your own time rather than just applying mods and never see it yourself. If you want it to be a great map, make it so.

Would probably prefer mapping a full version of this song, but I guess it's too late for now ;p

I wonder why 00:11:630 (8,1) - has a smaller distance spacing than 00:11:396 (7,8) - where actually (8) and (1) has more impact than the previous. So maybe swapping out the distance spacing for the emphasis would suffice this section, alike how you've done on 00:02:958 (2,3,4) - and/or 00:06:708 (2,3,4) - (Just using those parts in case you don't know, but maybe you could try another way around). Ok i didn't notice that .. but you are right .. i changed the slider 1 to another place to make it more impact
  2. 00:13:974 (6) - To be honest, this one seems really out of context when it comes up to rhythm composition. I'd suggest mapping this out with some circles for the density of the piano rather than adding a single slider just to fill up the rhythm. For short; replacing this slider into three circles, or circle + 1/2 slider, would follow the song track more correctly. Ok i make it circle and 1/2 slider .. and change it's places ..
  3. 00:20:771 (3) - I don't really feel right about the rhythm here, which is pretty unwise of it. The downbeat on 00:21:240 - sounds really strong for a click rather than being lifted from holding a slider. So, either redoing this rhythm onto something a little different than the current, or simply Ctrl + G the three notes 00:20:771 (3,4,5) - in rhythm timeline for a comprehended rhythm following up the vocals accurately and stressing the downbeat much better. Done , I ctrl +G and it sounds really good thanks !
  4. 00:22:177 (1) - Would wanted to know why this circle is spaced out a lot more than the previous ones bypassed despite the unexpected slider velocity changes. Sounds too similar to the part on 00:18:427 (1,2,3) -. Ok made it jusr like the previous one .. and stacked 3 on the tail of the next slider ..
  5. 00:22:880 - Not needed of a circle here, isn't? Because hearing this part over and over seems to be missing some potentials. Maybe adding at least a circle here would help so. I'd rather not put anything here ..
  6. 00:38:115 (1,2,3) - Might be consistency-related, but I would really ask why the last two sliders' tails of these are stacked and along with the first one isn't. And putting off blankets aside, I would probably say... either (manual) stack their tails, or split them up for visibility and gameplay. In the alternative, you can freely overlap if fitting. Made it clear now .. and i changed the position of the circles after that ..
  7. 00:45:615 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - This whole track of the section is seriously forced by the looks of it. In spite of the song track starting to play the rides and hi-hats on the background music, it is way too much handling up the emphasis. And by telling that out, the distance spacing seems quite extended, and the next few parts are even lower than this whole section (e.g. 00:47:958 - or 00:50:302 -). I highly recommend redoing this part with a few 1/2 sliders or reduce the note density by equalizing the distance spacing like the rest of the next song tracks. Changed the DS ..
  8. 01:02:021 (6) - Not the best rhythm composition to display the sound of the song, but it only fits the vocals at least. It's an Insane difficulty, is it not? No .. here i'm following the sound of the music .. and i made it slow beacuse of that ..

  10. 01:22:177 (3) - Nearly the same thing for the strong downbeat before, but a slight change of it is the reverse arrow. As I can tell, the red tick on 01:22:880 - sounds promising for a circle. So you may need to redo this a little bit more over the rhythm by any means necessary. Still, that downbeat should probably be clicked alike before. Nah i will keep it like that ..

I would technically say about this map, it doesn't really need huge tons of mods just looking over the set. Recalling that it actually needs more polishing, and has quite a lot of room for improvements. I advise looking at your difficulties and recalibrate the aesthetics and playability of the map more frequently in your own time rather than just applying mods and never see it yourself. If you want it to be a great map, make it so. Well .. thanks for the advice .. and beside i'm trying to improve my skills by looking at the mods .. but yeah mapping need to self- learning ..

Would probably prefer mapping a full version of this song, but I guess it's too late for now ;p It's my first map .. so that's why i choose a short ver. .. but i'd love to map the full ver. it's really good song !

  1. Before you waste any more time trying to push this map for ranked, stop. If after 11 pages worth of mods your map still looks like this, there's no way you'll be able to rank it at a satisfactory quality in any amount of time. You don't seem to completely lack all the basics, but there are great problems within your execution.
  2. First and foremost, consistency in spacing is completely missing. Patterns like 00:00:615 (1,2,3) - and 00:04:365 (1,2,3) - make it pretty obvious that you have no idea how to relate intensity within to spacing and rhythm structure. A good guideline would be to make calmer bits of a song "easier" (as in, less spaced and less dense rhythm-wise) and emphasize important sounds through higher spacing.
  3. Secondly, your object placement is all over the place. 00:00:615 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - a pattern like this is fundamentally flawed as far as 00:02:724 (1,2,3) - is concerned. If you're trying to give the idea of an identical sound, there is no point in making variations within your pattern. And even if you wanted to, you'd have to make that kind of variation for every group of 3, for consistency. It doesn't matter if your ideas for patterns are outstanding if you can't be consistent with instances of a same sound.

  5. 00:54:052 (4,5) - Stuff like this is once again indicator that you don't understand the relation between intensity within the song and within the map. Manipulation of SV should only be used to indicate different intensity within the song (with the exception of weird Camellia-like maps using SV to express the intensity of single sounds).
I don't really need to look at the rest of the mapset or point out anything from the map. The point is pretty clear; give this map up for the time being.
You will not be able to rank it as it is.

Now, for homework: you should make other maps and focus on the basics; rhythm structure, spacing, object placement. Map more. Get better. One day you may be able to come back to this map and fix it up by remapping it properly.
This playlist has proven itself to be very useful to me, and it may be able to help you grow as a mapper aswell. I recommend you study thoroughly its contents.

I hope I helped point you in the right direction towards being a better mapper.
