Hi! From your forum M4M taiko queue.
d = don
k = katsu
D = big don
K = big katsu
[General]
Nice set. Nothing major to change, so I'll nitpick it. Most of these will be suggestions and suggestions only, so feel free to disagree. :3
JuDa's Oni's maximum hitsound volume is at 90%, and the other difficulties have 80% as maximum; adding 10% or 20% to each line wouldn't hurt, to fully utilize all 100% of the hitsounds. Except possibly the ending, where 40% should be fine.
[JuDa's Oni]
01:24:552 (120,121,122,123,124,125) - how about adding timing points for each of these notes to gradually ease in that SV change to make it look better?
Nice volume hitsounding, I don't think any of the players are going to notice the majority of them though lol
00:01:435 (7,8,9) and 00:22:214 (47,48,49) etc. - just pointing out that I would personally map points like these as dkd, but ddk does flow better.
00:15:558 - instead of dkk d, I prefer dkdkd, which would mean all the vocals are d and the piano is k.
00:26:029 - add d to match 00:25:380 (69)
00:35:282 - there is an offbeat rhythm in the vocals here which you could map, maybe add a d here for a bit of bounce as well?
00:37:880 - same thing as above, but k
00:43:156 (172) - just pointing out that you hitsounded this as whistle instead of a clap which bothered me somewhat :3
01:01:175 (55) - change to D? would reflect what you did at 01:11:240 (53,54)
01:05:558 - dkddk doesn't feel right, to me at least; I would prefer kkddk which would accentuate vocals better
01:16:922 - no triplet or 5-plet here?
01:34:130 - I would make the pulse like this:
up to you though.
01:48:902 (291,292,293,294) and 01:51:500 (308,309,310,311) - don't really like the k's here, I would make this kdd k to accentuate melody more
[Oni]
00:01:434 (6) - change to d to break up that group of k
00:05:492 (36) - change to k to match melody
00:16:857 (89) - move 1/2 backwards to 00:16:695? This whole section is played quite straightforwardly, so adding a bit of bounce to the rhythm would make it more interesting. It also matches piano and vocals.
00:20:427 (105,106) - switch to make kddkdk, matching piano
00:22:863 (119) - personally I don't think this calls for a kdk, ddk would suffice
00:29:195 - would map it like this:
00:35:282 - like JuDa's Oni, would add a d here for a bit of bounce and to match vocal's offbeat pattern
00:42:181 (7) - D?
00:48:675 (45,48) - would change to k to match vocals, but if you really want that dddd for build up then ignore me
00:57:117 (94) - change to k to match the pulse of the previous phrase at 00:54:519
01:03:123 (138,139,140) - personally I like dkd more to make the rhythm not so even
01:14:649 (218) - D?
01:28:286 - how do you feel about this?
01:29:665 (307) - k is really awkward here, I really don't like it
01:36:728 (357,358,359,360) - D is kinda overkill here, I don't believe the guitar carries that much emphasis
[Lite Oni]
00:30:168 (121) - how about delete this note for a slight bounce in the rhythm?
00:49:161 (212,213) - I think switching these two notes for dddkdkkk makes the build-up better
01:08:724 - add k to match what you did at 01:06:126
01:18:708 - add d to fit drums
01:25:850 - change to k would break up that line of d a bit
01:51:662 - personally I would delete this note; the ending here has no notes placed on the third beat of every bar except this one, and I think the kkk triplet at the very end serves to emphasize the ending enough already, so there's no need for a long pattern here imo
[Muzukashii]
00:00:948 and 00:03:545 - dislike these pauses. I think keeping the pulse going through the intro is needed, a k in these two places wouldn't hurt
00:15:883 - add k would match melody
00:42:181 (113) - D?
00:46:727 - move 1/1 forward would lead in to the next phrase better imo
00:59:633 (170) - I really don't think this 1/4 is necessary, kdddk works well enough already, no need for additional emphasis
00:55:656 (155) - k to match melody, although if you like the ddddk then no change
00:56:143 and 01:06:532 - again, the pause is a bit weird to me. I think adding a d here to make the pulse more constant would fit the kiai more
01:03:529 - I think adding a d to make it ddk serves to accentuate the k and lead in to the next phrase better
01:10:023 - like 00:59:633
01:45:169 (341) - personally I would move this 1/2 forward to match melody
[Futsuu]
Just a brief look through; Futsuu and Kantan doesn't require nitpicking I think.
00:20:753 - perhaps add a k here to lead into the next section better, but if you really want that pause here to lower the difficulty then maybe delete 00:19:454 (32) instead? Or just let it be.
01:19:519 - add k?
01:24:714 - ^
01:38:026 - personally I would map this part like this:
[Kantan]
00:30:493 (35,36) - personally I would make this K D instead of D K, D for onbeat and K for offbeat
00:52:896 (57) - D?
Eh, nothing of note in the easier difficulties really.
