Actually, after thinking about it for a little bit, yes. A purple Mr. Popo would have been better than the eyesore he is now. Doubt there would have been as many complaints to boot.

1.) stop being weeaboo right now even know that mr popo is a pretty innocent concept design like jynx is

2.) if you want to blame anything, blame blacksploitation and black face because people like to yell the race card if anything portrays a black person (even in a neutral outlook)

I kind of remembered when the dub tried to edit out the rice balls and make them into triangular sandwiches.

It was fine, until the scene when the rice balls rolled down the hill.
