I support you guys for wanting this channel, it's like Belgium having two languages as well, Flemmish and Walloon. They still need their channels fixed too because right now the Flemmisch go to #dutch (and I haven't a clue where the Walloons end up, perhaps #french?) and I as a Dutch person can only understand about 20% of what they are talking about. This was requested but not approved. From this thread you can immidiatly see:
Just a sidenote: The channel name might be confusing to some people who might read it as #SingingEnglish, #Single-ish or #Single&English OR end up talking Malay in #Singapore.
Perhaps #Malaysian-EN would work even though it's not as catchy.

Oh well, I guess there's not really a point in making a head count as there's little to zero sign that the mods even care about this

There should be a lot of languages though. I'm pretty sure there's already one in a chat lobby though.

Why is this not a thing already? Malaysian and Indonesian language is pretty similar yet they got their own channel. I'll also be glad to drop by sometimes because apparently seeing people talking in Singlish is a bit funny to me for no reason

kek please dont make us go to all these channels just to speak in our native creole
also its not like having a chat channel for a big group of people means people will use it. its especially prevalent in a lot of channels now lmao they're almost inactive all the time. the point is that even though we might have a small population (albeit steadily growing) the chat will be actively used
