rwby owo also finally have the motivation and tiem to map

The difficulty spread between platter and rain is kinda large maybe fill that gap with another rain thats like 4.10 but ofc ask sum more opinions before considering making another rain

Platter

00:13:990 (1) - I know you're mapping the vocals here but it kinda feels out of place imo maybe stay consistent on the rhythm you have over here? 00:13:471 (3,4) - like just delete the long slider copy paste it to the deleted slider and bam but up to u
00:27:497 (1,2) - a h-dash with 4x ds is a little bit too much imo maybe move this to x:251?
00:28:276 (3) - If you took my suggestion above then move this to x:463 cos if u did took my suggestion then this slider here will trigger a hdash which im pretty sure you dont want that
00:28:536 (1,2,3,4) - and also here which you should move to x:314
00:29:575 (1) - and with the suggestion i mentioned earlier this will have an appropriate pattern to trigger an h-dash since theres that loud vocal that can be called for
00:31:003 (1) - I think ending the slider here 00:31:393 - is more appropriate since theres that vocal sound that can map under the slider end
00:32:432 (4) - a bit too hard to dash on a platter diff? maybe move it to x:321 since for it to be a more comfortable side-dash here
00:39:315 (2) - I think this should end more on here 00:39:705 - so that the sliderend can map that faint guitar sound

hmmm only issues here are sum side-dashes are kinda hard but personally in this bpm my side-dashes would got for 1.90 ds but other than that the map is prtty gud

Rain

00:26:458 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - yea pretty much one of the diff spikes in this dif but kewl pattern
00:32:172 - would add a circle here cos theres a loud guitar sound that can be mapped here and move it to x:251 if you do
00:34:120 (3,1,2,3) - why not just make this a complete stair pattern instead? since theres 00:34:250 - which has a drum sound that can be mapped
00:52:430 (2,3,4,5) - umm what is this stream even mapping to cos i dont even any drum sounds to support this
00:54:378 (3,4,5,6) - ^

Only issues i would find in this diff is sum rhythm inconsistencies but other than that the map is fine xd

Saying that I'm not against mapping an easier Rain as it wouldn't be much hassle but we shall see

00:43:989 - isnt the red timing point supposed to be here and not at 00:44:119 - due to the downbeat?

The diff isnt bad, it just feels like a Salad more than a cup. Too many direction changes on high BPM imo.

00:13:211 (2,3,4,5,1) - im not too sure about all the direction changes here. Mainly due to how dense it is. It is a cup and i personally feel this is a bit too hard for a cup.

00:16:588 (4,1,2) - this direction change here also feels too harsh for a cup.

00:16:588 (4,1) - this also feels very weird to play imo.

00:20:744 (4,5,1) - Distance between these are uneven. Move (5) too x340?

00:52:300 (1) - make this into a slider to empathize the vocals?

00:54:378 (1) - ^

00:56:456 (1,2,1) - Instead of having these as left rights, why not convert each slider into 2 straight 1/2 sliders? Fits better imo.

00:00:556 (4,5,8,1,4,5) - I dont really see the reason to have distance changes on these. There is nothing to empathize imo and it fits much better on parts like 00:02:265 (8,1) - imo.

00:37:627 (3) - Very unexpected wiggle here imo. I would like to see more normal flow here with the hyper.

01:02:820 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Are you quite sure about these? The patterns here looks very cramped and might throw people off.

Else than that its pretty clean.

Rain

Since this is a rain, i feel the spacing at the start is ok.

00:27:367 (7) - Due to how the next slider is, im not too sure about how i feel having a hyper between both 00:27:301 (6,7) - and 00:27:367 (7,1) - tbh. I am ok with having this patterning, but would like it more if you could make 00:27:497 (1) - go even more to the left. As people wont miss the droplet as easly.

01:03:339 (3,4,3,4) - These were very unexpected. They are fine imo, but maybe make them a little nicer too the players?

Else the rain is very clean imo.

Lotus' Rain

00:26:458 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This whole stream felt very weird to play imo. Mainly due to the spacing changes of each section here. Would suggest to decrease the distance by 1-2 grids and make the curves a little curvier.

Would suggest to decrease the distance by 1-2 grids and make the curves a little curvier. The spacing between each section of the stream is only separated by 3 grid spaces, if I reduced it by 1-2 grid spaces it would be practically just one long stream with weird looking spacing so I don't think it would be a good idea. I did change the last 2 patterns however so they're a lot more linear.

01:16:456 (5) - Why no hyper here? PLease add I don't feel a H-dash here is very necessary, and also this is a 1/8th snap, I tried this with a H-dash and it looks horribly dense and feels so awkward so not going to add this.

01:02:820 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Are you quite sure about these? The patterns here looks very cramped and might throw people off. - I'm about 80% sure? It's possible to get away on this with little to no actual movement so even if a player is a bit overwhelmed by it they should still be ok

Since this is a rain, i feel the spacing at the start is ok.

I am ok with having this patterning, but would like it more if you could make 00:27:497 (1) - go even more to the left. As people wont miss the droplet as easly. - Smoothed the slider out so it should flow better

01:03:339 (3,4,3,4) - These were very unexpected. They are fine imo, but maybe make them a little nicer too the players? - Yeah this was me getting a bit sloppy as I got close to finishing mapping it, my apologies! Nerf the distance on the wiggle and got rid of a direction change going in to the second one

Else the rain is very clean imo.

Overdose

00:04:687 (1,1,1) - Why not do as Lotus did in his rain and add the 1/8 piano? Would be very nice imo. - I prefer using the sliders here, no hate on the 1/8 though

00:26:847 (6,7,1,2,3,4) - Use sliders here instead to make it look nicer and be more consistent ingame please. - Made this look as nice as I can which is still a bit shit but I'm willing to sacrifice aesthetics here for gameplay

00:07:952 (2) - This is the only diff that has a break here, you can probably do without it imo since it's quite short
00:21:133 (1) - Not sure why you skipped the vocal here when you were following it at 00:19:055 (1) -, a better rhythm option here for 00:21:003 (6,1,2) - would be 1/2 slider, 1/1 slider and then circle
00:53:729 (3,4,5) - Another good place to swap to vocal emphasis by doing circle, two 1/2 sliders with hypers and another circle. Relieves some of the drum monotony

Thanks for modding guys! I think the last few mods show throwing more mods at this is silly now, I've pulled out of Secret Santa queue so no else has to suffer (except BNs when I eventually hunt them down)

Updated the Platter, Rain #1 and Overdose. Will pester my guests to apply mods and then let the beatmap sit for another year before a final push to rank

Here is my options and suggestion for this map...

Regardless the diff spreads looks ok,I still confused that Platter and Rain (the AR and CS kinda look little far from being better)
For Platter: I think use 3.2 or 3.3 would do because the streams seems too tough on smaller size,I don't know or I am being cautious.
For Rain : U can used 3.5 instead but keeping the current would looks fine tho.

00:48:664 (2) - This note missing HS , head:normal and tail clap(current HS) right?

Before I started,I thought to had zero mod for this,well just minor issues I guess.

1st Rain
Not much to say but I will said this is solid good. Umm,I think only I don't really play Rain makes me tough to mod but it is alright as I look it good tho. Momentum was there and rhythm might not so much trouble.

Not much to say about the streams,looks good overall
For now,I had limits on modding till Rain so skip at two last diffs. Well,hope that will be helpful little

I think,the map can be qualified sooner or later

The diff isnt bad, it just feels like a Salad more than a cup. Too many direction changes on high BPM imo.

00:13:211 (2,3,4,5,1) - im not too sure about all the direction changes here. Mainly due to how dense it is. It is a cup and i personally feel this is a bit too hard for a cup. - I think that it's fine due to the reaction time given to the player.

00:16:588 (4,1,2) - this direction change here also feels too harsh for a cup. - Again same here.

00:16:588 (4,1) - this also feels very weird to play imo. - I feel it's fine, it follows the natural pattern of the map of having these kinds of patterns, it's more fitting to the structure to leave it as this.

00:20:744 (4,5,1) - Distance between these are uneven. Move (5) too x340? - Changed stuff around a bit.

00:52:300 (1) - make this into a slider to empathize the vocals? - Would be inconsistent with the beginning of this kiai, I feel the consistency here fits nicer.

00:54:378 (1) - ^ - Same as then.

00:56:456 (1,2,1) - Instead of having these as left rights, why not convert each slider into 2 straight 1/2 sliders? Fits better imo. - I prefer the left-rights to properly showcase the lowering intensity there.

@SangKrazF1nal3 - Cleaned that pattern up in my own way, but added the extra distance between (4,5) I think you were looking for. The following stream pattern emphasizes the drums building up to the kiai, so I'll keep them if that's ok.

Here is my options and suggestion for this map...

Regardless the diff spreads looks ok,I still confused that Platter and Rain (the AR and CS kinda look little far from being better)
For Platter: I think use 3.2 or 3.3 would do because the streams seems too tough on smaller size,I don't know or I am being cautious.
For Rain : U can used 3.5 instead but keeping the current would looks fine tho. - I'm very happy with the CS and AR settings used on these difficulties. I think the readability is in a good place regarding overall on screen density, using lower AR/CS will increase the overall density of notes on screen which is pretty high already at 231BPM. I know preferences for reading vary between players but I'd say the current settings are a good middleground between what players are used to and balancing them for high BPM

00:00:129 (1,2,3,4) - Consider CTRL-G'ing this set and 00:02:408 (1,2,3,4) - this set of circles singularly. That way the movement in the 00:01:837 (4,1) - jump would be emphasized more since its using direction change emphasis as well. Dont forget to adjust 00:04:687 (1) - spacing so it isnt too much after the tweaks should you agree to apply this
00:06:977 (3) - Potentially you could CTRL-H (and adjust spacing a bit) this to spread this pattern on the playfield more. Right now it plays heavily on the right
00:37:886 (1,2,3) - You might as well use a 3/2 reverse like 00:38:925 (4) - . Structural consistency with 00:33:731 (1,2,3) - is key, but the playfield kinda limits this pattern from spreading out, and as a result 00:38:276 (2,3,4) - this gets really underwhelming spacing

You better apply this fast its like 3 points

Hyperion's Salad

00:01:838 (4,1) - I find this somewhat ambiguous, extra spacing could help make this dash stand out more
00:28:536 (4,1) - Optimal place for a dash, would also improve how dashes are spread out, since they were really sparse up until this point

00:02:265 (8,1) - For the added variation in this part this could work nicely as a HDash to better emphasize the piano
00:04:687 (1,1,1) - Potentially, you could spread these out more on a nice 1.00x DS to offer more movment in between objects
00:13:341 (2,3) - small 0.10x-0.15x DS spacing increase would work nicely here to make the dash stand out more, and also make it consistent spacing wise with 00:12:432 (3,1) - / 00:13:860 (4,1) -
00:28:276 (3,1) - In my eyes this section is pretty lacking in HDash action, as the strong snares are left unexploited. Can easily improve this by adding a HDash here which is think its pretty fitting

Considering there is no instrumental here and the vocals stay the same tone, I think just the regular spacing reflects it just fine.

That being said, I don't think it's too unforgiving considering the 3 hitcircles before the slider flow directly into it.

Updated all! Fixed a couple of out of place hitsounds in Lotus' Rain and adjusted the hyper spacing in the intro as requested to save sending the .osu again

EDIT: ~~Added "tv size" to tags~~ Added "cut ver" to tags because "this isnt a tv show" :angery:

00:18:146 (3,4,5,6) - I would make the recovery (4,5,6) more gentle. A sharp dash to the other direction right now, which isn’t ideal.
00:21:263 (1,2,3,4) - You map the same descending vocal line differently here—I think they should both be 1/1 sliders, although you may have a reason for doing so.
00:23:860 (2,3,4,1) - This pattern feels awfully crammed in the middle. Do you think you could space this out a little more with more movement?
00:48:664 (2,3) - I don’t think this movement between “the” and “end” really deserves a dash. Consider lowering the distancing here.

00:27:497 (1) - Would make this a 1/2 reverse because you’ve followed the drumbeat triplet pattern everywhere else but here.
00:46:067 (1) - May be just me but it’s easy for miss that little droplet tick with this slider shape.
00:55:807 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - Not too big on this sort of pattern. For one, it’s pretty vertical and the dash is a sudden movement. A similar thing happens at 00:59:703 (2,3,4,5,6,7).
